That's true, and the odds are high he will be dead before I reach 150 gold anyway.

of course at this rate, I'm likely to finish grad school before having 150 gold, so that may not mean much PB.

I would be willing to trade, but it's street value is 150 gold. That was with two charges, so perhaps that value has gone down a bit, but still I think it's worth more than 30 gold. But, I will hold on to it for now and not use the last charge in case we can find a better trade at some point.

The axe is clearly crafted by a master. See the etchings along the haft and the butt-end of the head? The symbols are those of an ancient human culture that had an outpost on the coast not far from here. It, too, will provide its wielder with a modest +1 in combat, and has the same value as the spider fang.

The potion is simple to identify. Most potions are colored but mostly opaque. See how this one is translucent -- indeed almost ethereal? Invisibility, it must be. In combat, after consumption of the contents, such a potion would allow the combatant to Ambush in one attack through infravision. I sold a similar concoction for precisely 75 gold about six weeks ago.

Oh, and if anyone wants to offer me something for the silver needle I have, I'll listen.

Combination of food / gold would be fine.

Cursed items, if equipped, cannot be unequipped without the use of some sort of Magic. They usually have a negatigve benefit, although there are a couple that you might actually want. They have zero value, and are perhaps best just dropped. Cursed items will detect as Magic, and can be detected and identified by both normal magical means, and Detect Evil, the cleric spell. Many of the more powerful cursed items may detect as something beneficial and will not reveal they are cursed until worn. Not even Identify magics will ID those cursed items, although Detect Evil will always work against cursed items.

I am doing a quick analysis for you adventurers still stuck on level 1.

Only 39% of you have leveled up. If you haven't yet, you are in the majority!

Nope. I'm hanging there waiting for PF and Thomkal.

Question/suggestion for Abe: If a number of people decide to adventure together would it be possible to form a "fellowship" if you will and have the fellowship all move as one unit unless specifically specified? Through a spokesperson or something?

I just think from a gameplay perspective this might actually be good - otherwise there could be issues with someone missing a post of what direction to go in or whatever...

No - I had suggested going back one room (backwards for me) and meeting Thom there. Really doesn't matter either way, maybe just for something to do

Thanks, Abe.

Looks like I'll be dropping it, since I could not have equipped it as a cleric.

As a courtesy to others, please mark any cursed item you drop and tell the rest of us how so that no one then accidentally picks it up. Or announce a permanent feature of the room in which it was dropped. Or both.

if someone wants to break off the fellowship or scout ahead or whatever than they can PM you seperately.

otherwise i think you'll just end up with a "follow player x" type PM's. Might be easier just to standardize it in some way so that i could say "i am part of group X. Player A is our assigned movement rep. I will follow what he does for the next 2 days."

Just trying to make your life easier I guess. As well as hopefully avoid situations where groups get held up because people get accidently seperated.
