TV's Wacky 2020 Season

So the new TV season such as it is, is about to start tonight. Many continuing shows have been pushed back until the new year, and networks have been scrambling for programing they can use this fall. This has led to some weird and one good thing premiering this week:

Spectrum has sold at least two of their original shows first season to Fox and CBS respectively, and those shows start tonight-L.A. Nights and Manhunt (Atlanta Olympic Park Bomber's story).

But the good thing starting Thursday and likely would not have happened this soon-Star Trek Discovery's first season moves over from CBS All Access to CBS on Thursday at 10 pm EST (starts this week) and will be part of their fall programming now. This is good news for people like me who refused to buy All Access and will now get to see the first season of the show. I'll be curious how it does in the ratings.

Thanks for the head's up. I'll kick that onto the DVR.

I'd rather watch L.A. Nights starring Jessica Alba on premium cable.

Maybe the only time I've been pissed about a Netflix show being cancelled.

I'll add Altered Carbon to that list :/ Seemed like a concept where you could keep flipping the cast & avoiding high casting costs too.
