Werewolf XIX: Return to the Forest - Night(4)
Werewolf XVIII - Return to the Forest
You thought the wolves had been eliminated. Instead, they have reappeared after just a short time, and again appear to have infested the village. A handful of reclusive villagers and avid woodsmen made their way into the deep forest to isolate themselves from the wolves. It does not take long, however, for them to realize that the wolves have joined them and are ready to strike at any time. During the day, of course, they are regular people, trying to help in the search for the wolves. What can be done to curtail these evil creatures... ? Primary Roles Werewolf - You belong to a pack of werewolves. Villager - You are a villager, and your sole purpose is to survive. Seer - You are the seer, and can view the true identity of a man or wolf. Each night you may choose to view the true identity (pertaining only to wolf/villager) of one player. Herbalist - You possess a bag of wolfsbane, the deadliest herb known to all wolfkind. Each night, you may choose to protect someone by slipping wolfsbane upon him. You may not choose the same person two nights in a row. You may, however, choose yourself. Secret Role(s) - There are secret role(s) in this game. Rules -There will be two phases, a Day Phase and a Night Phase. -During the Day Phase, everyone votes to lynch one player. In case of a tie, the player who got his first vote last will be lynched. -During the Night Phase, all players with Night actions may choose to do their actions, or do nothing at all. You may choose to delegate one wolf to kill one person each night. Unless there is only one wolf remaining, the same wolf may not kill on consecutive nights. One werewolf (need not be the killer) will PM me with their decision. -Note that a secret role may be mixed with a primary role. -If a player is lynched, his Primary Role is revealed. For the wolves' night kills, roles will not be revealed. -12/24 Hour deadlines will be in effect. This means that, after Night(0), there will be 24 hours until the lynching deadline, and once the lynch post is made by me there will be 12 hours until the Night phase ends. Rinse, repeat. -Werewolves win if they reach a 1:1 ratio with the villagers. Villagers win if all werewolves are dead. -If you have a Night action, but do not wish to do anything that night, you may PM me ahead of time or during the night, and this opens up the possibility of speeding things up slightly. There will, however, always be 24 hours between the start of a Day and the end of a Day. Playerlist 1) st.cronin 2) Raiders Army 3) dacman 4) pennywisesb 5) Schmidty 6) Blade6119 7) McSweeny 8) ardent enthusiast 9) SnDvls 10) Grammaticus 11) TazTFW 12) saldana 13) Barkeep49 14) kingfc22 15) WVUFAN 16) dubb93 17) 18) 19) 20) Alternates 1) Passacaglia

This is my first try at running a game. I'd planned on it being pretty simple with a couple of mildly significant twists. If people don't like the way the rules shape up, that's fine, I'd be happy to have someone else come up with some so I get to play instead!!
If you'd like to sign up, just post in the thread. We'd need 15-18 players, or so, to work best.

At this point, I don't think I can be in, unless the signups drag. Sorry, RPI! Looks like it would have been fun!

I've never played before, but would like to give it a shot. Just depends on when the phases are. I work a straight forward schedule, 8am to 5pm, but sometimes don't get home until 7pm. What time will the phases end? Staying up late is generally not a problem.

You would probably be Ok with that schedule (for one thing it pretty much exactly matches mine!)... the Day phase (the more time-intensive one) lasts 24 hours, so no matter what there would be a significant chunk of time where you're online.

Finals for me, too. I'll set a tentative start time of 10pm on Thursday, Dec. 15, meaning a Night(0) deadline of 10am on Friday.

I will play. I thought I'd have to start sitting out but I think the 24 hour cycles will give me enough time to be an effective player.

Dola -- One recommendation that I foolishly didn't follow last time:
Put numbers for 18 people (or whatever your goal is) so people see there are still open slots. And dacman I'm estatic to have a new player around and assure you short of a seer's reveal, I will not vote for you on Day 1. |

OK, we can proceed with those currently signed up, but getting at least one more would be positive. I've got dubb93 on the alternate list, but he can, of course, choose to join before the start if he'd like.
With that said, Night(0) will begin Thursday @ 9pm... therefore Day(1) will begin @ ~9am on Friday, December 16th, barring any objections, of course. Thanks! ~rpi-fan

I've got the roles ready to go, but since I said we aren't starting Night(0) until tomorrow, was planning on waiting to give them out.
However, if people felt they'd like to have them now, I'd be happy to do that!
