Just for Laughs - Montreal

I'm thinking about buying a couple passes and hanging in Montreal for a week for my girlfriend's birthday.

Anyone by chance have any experience with this event, good idea or may I be missing something? Any tips?

Living in Montreal, I used to go to at least one gala every year, but stopped a few years back as the prices kept going up and up. I ended doing a few smaller shows, but also found the local comedy clubs were a better value, since most of the comedians would go there to try out new material. Check out the smaller shows, especially the nasty show. There's also the relationship show as well. I did go to the Jim Gaffigan gala this year and it was better than the ones I remember. The ones from years ago, the host would have limited time and they would have so many acts that you would get 2-5 minutes per act. This one was less acts, so you got to see more of their routine.
