He also confirmed what I was speculating, that Dan Mullin's firing was because he set fire to every bridge he crossed, which allowed him zero leeway we he started losing. He also related a story of Mullin trying to ream the team during halftime of the Georgia game, and the team was arguing back at him. He had lost the team as well as the administration, fans, and press. The guy just imploded on himself. He is almost a lock to be OC in Jacksonville next year.

I really would like to see an All or Nothing style documentary on coaches end up in this position. As a college coach, you have to know you have to keep someone on your side. Boosters, administration, players, fans, whoever. You have to be someone on your side. You may make the wrong choice. The people you choose may turn on you but damn how do you lose everybody given the start he had.

Lincoln Riley to LSU. What the F- is going on?

Edit: Chilli a minute. Not officially confirmed. But at 13 million a year, the possibility is strong.

Nebraska is playing Iowa today. If they lose by 6 or fewer, they will accomplish the weirdest statistical feat in Big Ten history. A 1-8 conference record with a positive scoring differential.

I'd like to formally apologize to Adrian Martinez. Clearly the Nebraska curse runs deeper.

Hogs up 3-0 after 2 series each.

Overall, our defense is holding up well so far and have been able to limit Badie, but can see him breaking tackles for a long one today.

Will whoever has the Nebraska voodoo doll cut it out? This is becoming painful.

Riley to LSU, Napier to UF, Heupel to OU, Kiffin back to UT. Make it happen!

We are up 10-3 but Badie is getting his yards. Close to 100 in 1H already.

That guy is slippery.

Hogs up 10-6 and this looks like a grind it out game so far (vs shootout). Our running game is not working as well as theirs but passing is doing better.

We're able to get more pressure on the QB. Blitzing more.

We need to throw more.

EDIT: Oh yeah baby. 2 TD's after 2 huge pass plays. We are up 24-6.

Of course, cause my kid can't have nice things.

Lashlee hasn't had the best season in Miami but was the only staff member that seemed to have even the slightest clue what he was doing ever.

Great slate of games today.

OSU-Michigan, AL-Auburn, and LSU-A&M are the games for me today. And I'll be rooting for the underdogs in all 3.

Iowa finishes 10-2 and has an outside chance at getting crushed by tOSU. Minny has to show up today. Wiscy is on a roll right now, though.

I would say there is a good chance in one of those three that the underdog pulls the upset. History tells us that there will be at least one big upset this weekend.

I have Ohio State-Michigan on my second monitor while I have Georgia-GT on the big screen. I will probably switch that at halftime once UGA has put in the second team. I really need 4 eyes for the game slate today.

Iowa had West division champions t-shirts and a trophy after the game yesterday. The staff is either delusional or knows the outcome of the Wisy/Minny game.

Isn't it a shared title even if they don' go to the championship game? I thought I heard that.

Now watching the Georgia game on stream, and by twitter reactions it is way behind. Fox stream > ESPN stream.

Nah, the Lions are just performance art. They don't even really have an NFL offense (this requires throwing the ball more than six yards downfield in the general direction of a wide receiver more than twice a half) and you almost have to try to lose this often on a last-second FG. One doesn't despair at them, one laughs at how they just find a way, again and again and again.

It's quite incredible! Also, 30-14 @ Michigan State at the same time of the game. Just sayin'. Harbaugh has a long tradition of losing these games. I'll get excited later if this keeps up though.

More than that, it's moderately exciting to just not get blown out. As others have noted, winning the battle in the trenches like this bodes well. Esp. if we can keep OSU off the field for long stretches going forward.
