Seriously guys, read the wikipedia on the mine wars, its not pretty, the miners did not win this war.

I think Abe's just playing warhammer 1920's edition and using us as the models.

If Lathum turns out to be the last wolf, that will be pretty funny.

It's unfortunate Daddy had to die since at least he was willing to talk. Purdue, Danny, would love to hear your thoughts for today. Also assuming we make it later into today, I might have to delegate.

I have one class today, but that's after the first two deadlines and then I'll check in before the last deadline too. I think we're still alright as long as the wolves don't keep having these auto win abilities. I'll post my suggested numbers after the wolves have their deadline.

BK, something that Danny said struck me when he joked about Lathum possibly being the last wolf. For the wolf team to be getting these advantages, what are the odds that there really are more than two wolves?

Everything in this game, to some degree, has had a cause and effect. We won five villages which caused us to get so many soldiers. We had Mother Jones would caused us to get a bonus of so many soldiers. I assume, to some degree, the same is true for the wolves. However, I'm wondering if it is less tied to number of soldiers and more tied to number of events, meaning two things. They stopped us four times, they have four events. It also likely means that they have a lot less soldiers than I had been counting on.

At this point, I would say send 2500-3000 if you don't think they have another event and we'll face soldiers on the battlefield.

If you do think they have another event, send 6. I mean, eventually they'll run out and our numbers should crush them. I would assume that, no later than phase 3 today, we will actually see their soldiers on the battlefield.

Also, talking numbers. This game probably started 9-2 which means we're likely to 6-2 now, still a decent cushion. I just don't want to keep watching us slip (unless its the smart play, like phase 2 yesterday).

this argument would have made sense at there been a posted 0, but we violated the spirit of the game by not doing anything at all!

clap I don't think would have made a difference. If it did, I apologize again. My theory, however, is that with all of these events Abe simply didn't want the sympathizers to have to waste one.

Yeah BK, I didn't want to go too in-depth here but I wanted to get you some info in case you aren't around. I'm VERY available from 9:27 CST-10:20 CST so I'll be here. Some of that should be post-wolf deadline I believe.

Ok I won't be here from 11:20-12:00 our time as it's the time of the year when even during my plan period I have to teach. However, I will be here at 10, so I would love to chat then, if possible.

If you need a replacement later, here is where I stand:

1- Danny

2- Claphamsa
3- CR
4- Glengoyne
5- RendeR

And yes, that space between 1 and 2 is intentional. I have a tough time with anybody after Danny. Clap hasn't done much except seem confused. I know CR's Monday's suck so he wasn't around as much. Glen has played a solid replacement game but I have no read one way or another. And if Lathum is a wolf, I could see him wanting to convert RendeR, but that's all I really have. I *think* you're hard-pressed after Danny to get somebody.

BK, what grade level/subject do you teach and what kind of teaching are you doing on your planning period (helping kids catch up?)?

Currently I'm a technology teacher, though I've previously taught 7th and 4th grade. At this time of the year our 5th grade works on creating iMovies and they depend to help me out with that. It's a really neat project, but it basically takes over my school life at this time of the year, which is also a pain when you're trying to do normal end of the year stuff (like write 170 report cards).

Wow, that sounds like a crapload of work. My seniors are done in three weeks (I have three sections of them) but we have four weeks of school with the rest which sets up nicely for WW playing time that last week since I basically will only teach 2'nd and 8'th hours.

I am back, in my office:

Roles for ntndeacon and DaddyTorgo who died yesterday.

DT

Union Saboteur – You are adept at blowing things up. You begin the game with just one load of dynamite. As a night action, you can blow up a mine shaft in the mines. Doing so will send all of the sympathizers scurrying to find out what is gone, and will prevent them from taking any actions during that night, and it will also use up your dynamite

ntn

Union Procurement Officer – Each Night, you can slip into the company offices or mines and try to procure some goods. Perhaps you may find firearms, dynamite, food, whatever. It is assumed you are doing this unless you pm me otherwise.
