FOF8 - Jets Ascending - Empty Cupboard and Only Draftees - Now with the Miners!!!!

Hello All! I hope you are doing well and keeping yourself safe in our modern COVID-19 world! Today I was inspired to begin a new dynasty in FOF8, my 3rd for y’all!

Here are my first two:

The Otto Graham Challenge – Can I take an undrafted Qb and turn him into a Hall of Fame player who set passing records that still stand like Otto Graham? I begin with Otto’s team the Browns. The Otto Graham Challenge (FOF8) Now With the Chargers - Front Office Football Central

Find out!

Restore the Roar – Can I get the Lions back to relevance and make them a Super Bowl winner? FOF8 Dynasty - Restore the Roar! Lions Empty Cupboard and Draftees Only - Front Office Football Central Here is that dynasty.

Find Out!

I have take many teams that were not good during my FOF career. The Jags many times. They are my favorite team in real life. The Browns. The Lions a few times. The Cardinals. The Bengals. Other teams that have done poorly recently or historically. But wanna know a team I’ve never done? The Jets!

That changes today.

Ready to begin my latest FOF8 dynasty? Sure thing, let’s do it to it.

Now here are my rules for the dynasty to limit myself.

1. I am not a coach, I am a GM. I will auto all game plan decisions save for depth chart.
2. I will not call plays.
3. I will not set up training camp.
4. I will fast sim year 1 for the Jets, Rex everything, and take their results and natural draft position not to favor myself.
5. During the offseason I will release every Jet. I will not trade any.
6. During the first offseason period I will not sign any players, see below for the only exception.
7. I will never trade players nor picks, see below for the only exception. I can resign my players during this window. Or FA window #2.
8. I will draft the players in the draft with our natural picks.
9. I will sign players during the 2nd FA period that are undrafted rookies only.

Abe’s Boys - Any player that is drafted or a Undrafted FA rookie is given the tag, Abe’s Boy. Any player, once given that tag, is eligible for anything. I can sign one of Abe’s Boys in free agency. I can target them in trade.

Exception – I will sign a player in FA to replace injuries. So, as an example, suppose I drafted an OT Player X in the 4th round in Year 2. Player X starts three years. Then in year 5 I drafted a better one, Player X+1 in the 2nd round. When the first player’s deal comes up I let Player X go into FA and he signs with another team. If Player X+1 goes down in the first week of the season and is out for the year, I can trade for Player X as he is one of Abe’s Boys.

10. I cannot keep an injury FA signing longer than the end of the year. I cannot trade for injury replacement save for Abe’s Boys.
11. I am fireable.
12. Real player file and coaches, with 2019 squad and no X Factor.
13. I will treat my coaches fairly. If they are winning, I won’t replace them even if better are available.
14. Injury Setting 120

Ready?

2019 begins.

We finish the preseason 1-3. Sam Darnold is bad. Really bad. I don’t have high hopes for the roster.

We finish the regular season with a record of 6-10. Not as bad as I’d like. But it’ll be a challenge not to be really bad with the better draft picks.

New Orleans defeats Pittsburgh 37-27 to win the Super Bowl!

We win no awards.

CJ Mosley was 4th most in tackles and Jamal Adams 6th most.

Jamal Adams with 9th most in pasdef.

Our 3rd overall pick DE Williams is the top rated rookie in the league and the top player on The Green Page.

We had a strong year defensively. Not offensively. LeVeon Bell just had 651 rushing yards and 226 yards receiving.

I end the season

I earn a 68 score

Staff Draft

In my Lions dynasty where I had similar rules my first head coach I grabbed, Ken Norton, Jr stayed with us the entire dynasty and won a Super Bowl. So this is important, and after a double digit loss season, clearing coaching house makes sense.

We pick 10th

Who am I going with?

Our head coach is Adam Gase. He’s…not even a little good. I like Steve Spagnolo, the DC of KC, but he’s in his 60s. Ken Norton Jr is the second best coach prospect and is just one worse that Steve, but I hired him in Detroit. Another great option is Dennis Allen of the Saints, but let’s go with quality and take Steve.

Time for our OC. Our OC is Dowell Loggains and he’s better than Gase. I look for a replacement…

The best guy available? Andy Reid. He was just let go from KC. But having him work for the DC who just was hired feels odd. I want realistic hires. I go with Drew Walston. He’s 54, loves spread offenses and enjoys the RB spot. He went to Duke in the 80s and has spent time in the college and NFL ranks as an assistant.

Our DC is Greg Williams who is our best coach. But there is a stud available and I grab him – Joe Judge. And he’s young, he’s just 39 years old. He’s better than everyone. He was the A.C. for the Pats, and he loves a true 3-4 so I’ll commit to running that defense. He’s my best pickup thus far.

Our Assit. Coach is Shawn Jefferson who’s not bad at all. I hire 40 year old Lamont Allen. Our Strength Coordinator pick arrives. We have Justus Galac. I really like 49 year old Sebastian Bradley.

I like our new staff, especially Joe Judge. I see him as a good head coach someday soon.

I only have 26 players under contract and I release them all. I have no major injures.

Ready to head to FA and check out the draft that will change us?

2020 FA Period #1

We select 1.8, 2.7, 3.10, 4.9 and such. Not too bad but not great for a naked team.

I look at the rookies and set up some interviews.

I interview the top four QBs, a stud RB, a stud WR, 2 stud DEs, then LBs for the rest as I need a solid group.

I call it.

I make no moves in FA.

The 2020 Amateur Draft

At the 1.1 spot heads out…

Seattle, RB, Cole Gomes

1.2 S
1.3 OLB
1.4 DE
1.5 QB
1.6 QB
1.7 QB

That sucks. We aren’t getting our signal caller here. If we were higher then we could have grabbed it before the run.

What about the last guy?

QB Riddick Ford, very overrated

Do I go for the 5th QB and hope he doesn’t suck? He’s a drop off. We have a lot of talented players still here. I grab the stud LB Jeremy Burkley who is a stud and the best player on the board by ability and a 3-4 SLB. We’ll build around my defense. The top WR is great but has a red flag so I skip over that.

Round 2. I grab QB Walt Berryman. Or OG Efrain Banks? I do Banks.

Round 3 – I could take DE Marty Gaudi. Or how about WR Kris Howe? I do Gaudi.

Round 4 - I grab SS Jordan Nichols or OT Derek Armstrong. I do Armstrong.

Round 5 – I snatch OG Wayne Guyman. How about QB Stanley Benton? I take the QB.

Round 6 – How about ILB Percy Hitt?

Round 7 – And in this corner CB Richard Cunningham,

Rookie Lookie Take 1

1.8 SLB Jeremy Burkley, Rutgers, 55/83
2.9 OG Efrain Banks, Alabama, 32/60
3.10 DE Marty Gaudi, Stanford, 34/58
4.7 OT Derek Armstrong, Georgia, 24/54
5.8 QB Stanley Benton, Pitt, 6/50
6.9 ILB Percy Hitt, Kansas, 20/51
7.10 CB Richard Cunningham, Baylor, 27/55

DE Gaudi and OLB Burkley are on the Green Page of the best rookies. Burkley looks like a stud. I hope he plays like one!

4.7 OT Derek Armstrong, Georgia, 24/54; 29/54
5.8 QB Stanley Benton, Pitt, 6/50; 12/54
6.9 ILB Percy Hitt, Kansas, 20/51; 26/51

Preseason 2020 –

Week 2 – I trim down to 60. We lose 27-16 to the Saints
Week 3 – We lose 13-7 to Dallas
Week 4 – We tie 13-13 to the Giants
Week 5 – We lose 12-33 to the Panthers

We finish the preaseason 0-3-1

Rookie Lookie Take 3

1.8 SLB Jeremy Burkley, Rutgers, 55/83; 62/81; 67/81
2.9 OG Efrain Banks, Alabama, 32/60; 36/59; 37/60
3.10 DE Marty Gaudi, Stanford, 34/58; 39/58; 37/53
4.7 OT Derek Armstrong, Georgia, 24/54; 29/54; 30/53
5.8 QB Stanley Benton, Pitt, 6/50; 12/54; 12/51
6.9 ILB Percy Hitt, Kansas, 20/51; 26/51; 26/48
7.10 CB Richard Cunningham, Baylor, 27/55; 33/54; 30/48

Uh oh. DE Gaudi is going in the wrong direction, and both Hitt and Benton look worse in potential as does Cunningham. That’s not good.

My top five UFA Rookiess

P Roosevelt Petherick, 67/73; 71/82
DE Henry Sawyer, 30/58; 32/59
SS Alvin Thomason, 32/58; 36/58
NT Allen Heinlein, 26/54; 28/53
C Karl Fox, 30/52; 31/53

On the other hand, my P boomed and my UFA DE Sawyer didn’t drop like Gaudi did. I was hoping to start both across from each other. My P is the 3rd best in the league. Nice!

Here’s Burkley, the Tony Boselli of my franchise. The first pick in our new era. Check him out! He’s very well developed and I like him a lot. He’s the best LB in the draft. He’s still on the green page. I have made 3-4 SLBs this good into Hall of Fame players but my roster may be too weak to take advantage of it for a while. We’ll see.

The 1.7 3rd overall QB has wound up as the best one. Ah well…we came close! The 1st one off busted, as did several behind us and we wound up with the third best potential QB. Assuming he doesn’t continue to drop off. Our UFA Tyrus Silverman is the 6th best potential. I’m glad I didn’t reach for QB at 1.8. On the other hand the stud WR I would have taken save for the red card? 52/72 after camp. Our FA TEs are 3rd and 5th in potential in the class. OG Banks is 2nd best in the class. It was a weak CB draft ad Cunningham, despite his bust, is 6th best potential. SS Thomason was 4th best in potential. Sawyer is the 5th best DE.

So we didn’t do too badly.

I trim my players. Ready?

These are Abe’s Guys! Note that DE Sawyer is starting in every formation save for one but that is not showing up here. I love the potential power of SS Thomason. Note that my starter at RB Neil Walton who is worse, technically, than RB Aaron Williams, but Williams is power RB specialist whereas Walker is well rounded. Williams has a 0 breakaway speed and 97 power inside.

This year I’ll be quickly simming the season. Normally I spend a paragraph summary for each game. In this case we’ll be spending one line on each week and that’s it.

Ready?

Defensive Rookie of the Year – SLB Burkley!

1st Team All Pro –

P Petherick

2nd Team All Pro –

SLB Burkley

Nice! Burkley looks like he was worth the pick. Dude looks sexy. Like I said, I think the SLB position is the most important position in a 3-4 defense and I've had great success with it before so I am happy to see Burkley work well within that defense.

Stats, Offense

QB Benton – 304 of 532, 2674 yards, 5 TD and 14 picks.

That was a horrible season by Benton. We need a better answer. But I can get the best QB in the draft this year.

RB Williams 171 for 428, 2 scores

Again, not great

WR Sorrels, 72 grabs for 831 yards, 1 score – Not bad
TE Fyie, 37 for 221 yards
WR Ethan Ellis, 36 for 319 yards
WR Richardson, 26 for 285, 3 scores

Wow

K Eddie Chandler, 25 FGs of 30, long of 55; 10 of 11 PAT

Not bad

P Petherick, 122 punts, 48.8 avg, 43 inside the 20

Weapon.

OT Armstrong – 22 KRB of 74 KRO, 9 sacks allowed
C Fox – 15 KRB of 73, 7 sacks allowed
OG Nagurski – 15 KRB of 47 KRO, 8 sacks
OG Banks – 7 KRB of 49, 6 sacks
OT Cottrell – 15 KRB of 47 KRO, 11 sacks

Armstrong was my best and Banks disappointed a lot.

As you can see, Thomason led in tackles and Burkley was right behind. Each of my starting DEs had 5 sacks. LB Adam was solid with 5 more sacks, and DT Cole was solid when subbing in for pressure.

Want to check out pass coverage? Sure thing!

FS Flannery led the team with 3 picks, and Burkley had 2 picks and 11 pass def all of which was solid. Thomason wasn’t rocking picks but he led my team in pasdef with 17. He was tied for 5th most in the league.

Good job defense. You were fine most of the time. We have tons of picks. Next year I’d like to work on the offensive side of the ball at WR and QB and a better O Line.

Team Awards

Offensive MVP – WR Liam Sorrels – He had a solid year with good yardage and was the best receiver on my team. Good job!

Defensive MVP – LB Burkley – Duh. Dude gets All Pro and Def. Rook of the Year, dude wins MVP.

Special Teams MVP – P Petherick. Duh. Once again, dude gets All Pro, dude wins MVP.

Rookie of the Year – Since all of my players qualify, I am skipping this for my first year.

Heart Award – DT Cole – Featured as a rotational DT and got me a safety, notched sacks, and had great QB pressure. Good job backup!

I end the season

I score 58

2021 Offseason

Staff Draft

Given my 2-14 record, all positions are vulnerable.

We pick 6th. I keep Steve Spagnulo as my head coach. I keep my OC. And DC Judge as well, and then AC and SC.

The 2021 FA Period #1.

I resign every RFA I have.

I interview the top three QBs and the top one and #3 come back underrated and I’ll target one as my 1.1 pick. I need receivers and I interview the top 6. Most come back overrated.

I skip the rest of the period.

The 2021 NFL Amateur Draft

At the 1.1 spot I grab Tony Rhem, the best QB in the draft

At the 2.1 spot the best WR is also a red flag who is hard to read… This is a weak WR Draft so I need to invent a spot now. I take Jonah Zercie. He’s also the most developed WR in the draft.

At the 3.1 spot I like WR Theodore Zuzzin, a very underrated WR with good stats who will hopefully be a grower. He’s a hope. But he’s too much of a prayer. There is a very good C on the board, Buddy Kaplan. Typically I get good Centers later as they tend to fall, but he seems really. Is it worth a slot? Actually nevermind. I like OG Terry Freitas. I’ll grab Terry. He's probably the BAP.

4.1 I might take OT Griffin Walters. I also like WR Devin Burhart. Or maybe OT Ezekiel Vaughn? I do Vaughn.

At 5.1 I could snag DE Frederick Zellars or DE Norm Stevenson? Both are 4-3 DEs. I do Stevenson. Both of these appear to have fallen and this is a BAP pick.

At 6.1….hmmm…how about…. I really like QB Alfredo Farmer who seems to have fallen, but I don’t need a 4th QB. I could do LB Cameron Cassidy the top LB on the board. How about FS Darren Newton? Nope. I grab depth at CB – Sam Farr, the best one on the board.

At 7.1? CB Daryl Reeves is the best CB available. K Randall Rabbitt appears to be a stud and no Ks have gone yet. I do Rabbitt.

Rookie Lookie #1

1.1, QB Tony Rhem, Georgia, 36/82
2.1, WR Jonah Zercie, San Diego, 40/62
3.1, OG Terry Freitas, Florida State, 42/78
4.1, OT Ezekiel Vaughn, Missouri, 12/61
5.1, DE Norm Stevenson, Miss. Valley State, 40/67
6.1, CB Sam Farr, Minnesota, 19/39
7.1, K Randall Rabbitt, Texas Tech, 48/73

That looks good, but some of these are showers, not growers, and I wouldn’t be surprised if some ebb back.

Here is the hope of the Jets

He’s the best QB in the draft going in and coming out. Tony Rhem is very strong. This dynasty will go as far as Rhem goes. He’s a solid body and I likes him.

I have four quality DEs now which I like. We are going with Stevenson and Sawyer in most of my packages although Gaudi is better against the run. We have a better defense to go with my stud at SLB Burkley. Although he has dropped off to 63/63 which sucks. Can’t do anything about it. Hopefully he’ll play better this year.

Rhem is still the top player on the Green Page. Stevenson, Freitas, and Foley are on the list as well

Zercie is the best WR from the draft but the 7th taken, probably because of the Red Card.

Freitas wound up the best OG. Those above him busted.

Vaughn is the 7th best OT

Rabbitt the best K obviously

Stevenson grew into the 3rd best DE and our other choice is 4th.

Foley is 6th

Sutton is the 5th best iLB

My prediction this year is 5-11, an improvement of 3 games. My players are better developed and we have this guy called Rhem.

This year expect me to give you a more detailed game overview.

Passing

QB Tony Rhem, 349 of 549, 3393 yards, 12:7, 82.8 rating, 32 sacks;

Not bad given a lack of talent at the WR and TE spot.

Rushing

RB Williams, 181 for 689 yards, 2 scores
QB Rhem, 95 for 371, 4 scores

We need a better option at RB. Williams is averaging 3.70 yards per carry.

Receiving

WR Sorrells – 64 for 720 and 3 scores
TE Fyie – 63 for 626. And 3 scores
WR Richardson – 50 for 592 and 1 score
RB Williams 44 for 322 and 1 score
WR Zercie – 26 or 299 and 1 score

We need to get Zercie more into the game

Blocking

OG Banks – 20 KRB out of 63 KRO, 2 sacks allowed
OG Freitas – 19 KRB out of 59 KRO, 5 sacks allowed
OT Armstrong – 17 KRB out of 71, 9 sacks allowed
C Fox – 12 KRB of 68, 6 sacks allowed
OT Vaughn – 12 of 39, 4 sacks allowed

Banks is my best, a big improvement from last year.

Special Teams –

K Rabbitt – 28 FG of 38 FGA, Long of 54; 25 of 26 PAT.

Defense

Here are our defensive stats. Thomason led with a ton of tackles, and Burkley was 2nd as expected. Thomason led the league with that number! DE Sawyer’s 9 sacks led with the team with 7 by Gaudi and 4.5 by LB Adam and 4 by NT Heinlein. Our sacks are up this year.

Burkley led our team with 6 FF and that was the most in the league. No one else had more than 2.

Pass Coverage

Alonzo Stone notched a nasty 7 picks. That tied for 2nd most in the league. Thomason swapped more pasdef for 4 picks and a INT RET TD. Stone also led our team in pasdef along with Thomason. Our picks were up as well.

Team Awards

Offensive MVP – Tony Rhem – This guy won Off. Rookie of the Year. He has to win this too, right? Right!

Defensive MVP – SS Alvin Thomason – In addition to his All Pro he led the league in tackles, was 2nd on our team in picks, top in pasdef, and was great. He was our best defensive player!

Special Teams MVP – P Petherick – Duh. Again. Dude wins All Pro, dude wins my team award.

Rookie of the Year Award – OG Terry Freitas – This guy was 2nd on my team in KRB, only allowed 5 sacks to a rookie QB, and was a great addition to my team. He was my best playing rookie.

Heart Award – DE Gaudi – Demoted to my backup DE and notched 7 sacks and 18 hurries and a fumrec on a strip sack. He was a strong powerhouse for me coming off my bench and I love my DLine at the DE spot I just need a better NT to unlock them and really turn them loose.

2022 Offseason

The Staff Draft –

I have the 6th spot. Again, a 5 win season allows me to move staff as needed

I keep my HC Steve Spags.

Josh McDaniels has come available at the OC and he’s a bit better than my guy. Do I wanna swap over? He uses Erhardt=Erkins style of play. He loves QBs and might be better than Drew Walston. But I’ve been building an offense for Drew so I stay.

I make no changes at DC. Or AC. Or Sc.

I massage my ticket prices up a little bit and then move to FA

2022 FA Period #1

We pick 1.4. I need a playmaker like a stud WR, and there are two and interview both and they are underrated. I interview some more WRs and some RBs. I also interview other 1.4 ranked candidates and a stud Fb I could take later and convert to TE. If I could come away from this draft with the best WR and a studly TE I’d be happy. This is WR heavy.

I have 44 players under contract and I sign all of my RFAs

I skip the rest of the FA.

2022 NFL Amateur Draft

At 1.1 Arizona takes QB Ray Wilkins

1.2 – RB
1.3 – DT

That leaves me free to take the top WR. I grab Kirk Barber.

2nd round I grab DT Kyle Fontaine that I’ll move to NT.

3rd round is the FB still there? Nope. I grab BAP WILB Edward Raynor. C Seth Lindsay is solid too. As is FS Phillip Dawson although I like Lindsay more.

4th round. RB Francisco Mansell? He’s the best RB left. WR Richard Hall? I take Hall.

5th? I take Mansell who is still on the board over my over choice Grayson Willis.

6th Round is here and I take CB Grayson Willis as he’s still on the board.

7th round and I grab TE Alfredo Hoffman.

Rookie Lookie #1

1st Round - WR Kirk Barber, Illinois, 50/81
2nd Round, DT Kyle Fontaine, Clemson, 51/74
3rd Round – WILB Edward Raynor, Stanford, 20/70
4th Round – WR Richard Hall, Northwestern, 35/57
5th Round – RB Francisco Mansell, South Carolina, 44/52
6th Round – CB Grayson Willis, Ohio State, 26/52
7th Round – TE Alfredo Hoffman, Arizona State, 31/51

I have three top talents and then decent depth.

Here’s my top pick! Hello Kirk Barber! I hope you do some sexy things for me! He’ll hopefully be the sort of playmaker we need to unlock our QBs next level. He’s studly.

On the Green Page are Barber, Rhem, and NT Fontaine. Wanna see Fontaine as well? Okay!

We grabbed him with the 2.3 spot and he was the 35th chosen player. Much like Kirk Barber will hopefully unlock my offense, this guy will hopefully do the same for my front seven. He is the best player on my D Line. 3-4s need a great NT to really make them sign and my hope is that Fontaine will perform that role for me and be a consistent pressure maker and run stopper thus freeing up my LB Corp to wreak havoc.

Here are some notes on the rookies:

At WR, Barber is the top best WR, as the #2 guy who we also liked held steady at 79 in camp and is sitting strongly. We would have been happy had a guy in front of us taken a stud WR with the #2 guy. Richard Hall is the 6th best by potential.

At RB, our guy Mansell is the 5th best by potential. That’s good for a mid-round back.

At OC our rookie is the 2nd best by potential.

For DTs, Fontaine is 3rd best by potential as this was a deep draft for them, probably why he wound up still on the board at the 2.3 spot.

Raynor at ILB is the 3rd best by potential despite his fall.

At CB Grayson Willis is 2nd best, as many above him busted and this was a weak class for them. The best? 61 potential.

My starting rookies are

CB Willis
RB Mansell
OC Jackson
WILB Raynor
WR Barber
NT Fontaine

This is still early enough in our dynasty that 6 rookies will start but I doubt that will happen moving forward.

I think we’ll finish 7-9. Maybe 8-8, maybe 6-10. A lot of talent developed last year and we have talent on both sides of the ball to push us.

I think next year is when we’ll see things clicking.

And there we are! Good news, unlike Burkley who busted from year one to two, Tony Rhem is still rocking at 61/83. Zercie and Barber should hopefully be a solid enough tag team to partner with.

Wanna see something cool?

Here are all QBs in the league sorted by potential, including this year’s solid rookie class. See how Rhem is the only one in the 80s? And is 5 better than Mahomes? That’s nice.

Here’s another

As you can see, Kirk Barber is the best potential in the league right now. Noel who we would had taken had Barber been grabbed is 3rd overall. You can also see Zercie is on the page as well, which is solid. The Bills have two of the top ten with a nasty tandem. If they develop, what sort of damage can Rhem and Barber do?

I fear for defenses in the AFC East!

The 2022 Regular Season

Let’s get this thing started!

Week 1 – Buffalo – We win 17-16. Another winning opener! MVP was Rhem with 27 of 39 for 299 and 2:0. He hit Barber 7 times for 87 yards and a score in his debut game! Another TD Pass to RB Mansell is his first NFL game as well! 2 sacks by DE Sawyer
A great debut win for us!

Week 2 -At Minnesota – We win 28-20! MVP is RB Mansell who was 18 carries for 147 yard and a score. Nasty! Rhem was 23 of 41 for 232 and 2:1. He hit WR Zercie 8 times for 124 yards and a score, and Barber the other score. We had four FFs on the day by LB Fredrickson, DE Gaudi, NT Fontaine, and ILB Raynor, two FFs for starting rookies, nice. SS Thomason recovered one for a TD. Nice!

C Jackson is out and Fox will start

Week 3 – Denver – We win 23-22. MVP is Rhem with 27 of 39, 311 yards, and 2:0 score. Barber caught 7 for 103 and 1 score, his first 100 yard game of his career. WR Richardson the other score. CB Stone with a pick. FF and recovery by ILB Sutton. Mansell was 22 for 96 yards.

We have won three in a row baby!

Can we make it it four?

Week 4 – Baltimore – We lose 10-19. Not bad for the first quarter of the WR Barber Era. Rhem was 23 of 40 for 246 and…1:4. Yuck. Baltimore is still Baltimore. TE Cook our lone TD. FF by DE Stevenson, recovered by LB Burkley.

C Jackson is back from injury

Week 6 – New England – We win 36-16. That is a statement win, our first. Game MVP is Rhem with 20 of 27, 4:0. He hit for scores these players – TE Cook, TE Cook, TE Cook, and TE Frie. Huh. RB Mansell was 22 for 126 and that’s his 2nd 100 game of the season. ILB Hitt with a pick. Burkley with 2 FF,one recovered by Thomason. 6 KRB by OG Freigas and 4 by OT Vaughn.

We have an injury – CB Willis is out for a few weeks

Week 7 – At Cleveland- We lose 30-32. Rhem was Game MVP despite losing with 26 of 48 for 316 and 3:0 and he hit for scores Zercie (who was 8 for 100 yards) Mansell and Richardson. Mansell was 13 of 38 and scored on the ground. CB Swift with a pick. FF by Thomason, recovered by CB Cunningham.

We have two injuries from this game that were knocking someone out

ILB Phil Sutton, out for a week or two

And…

LB Hitt, who is out for the year

I place Hitt on IR and I sign…

Wilb Oren Banks

Week 8 – at Buffalo – We win 24-17. Rhem is MVP with 33 of 41, 303 yards and 3:0. Barber was 11 for 98 and 1 score. Scored for Zercie and Hall. Pick by CB Swift.

We are 6-2 at the half! And Sutton is back.

Week 9 – Pittsburgh – We win 21-7 against the then 1 loss Steelers. Rhem is MVP with 24 of 36 and 295 with 2:0. He hits Zercie 8 times for 163 yards and two scores. Mansell added a score on the ground. We had three picks by CB Stone, CB Stone and…CB Stone. That’s nasty. We had 3 FF by Burkley, Sutton and Gaudi, and they were recovered by Burkley.

Willis is back

Week 10 – BYE

Week 11 – Miami- We lose 9-25. Rhem was 25 of 40 for 287 and 0:1. CB Stone with another pick. Two sacks by LB Adams.

Week 12 – Chicago – We lose 20-13. Them was 28 of 42 for 25 and 1:1. He hit RB Mansell for the score. FF by Burkley and Stone. 2 sacks by Burkley.

We had 10 injuries from this game. All were questionable or probable

Week 13 – At Tennessee – We win 13-6. It’s not a big win, but I’ll take it. Rhem is 18 of 36 for 169 and 1:0 with a TD grab by Barber. Pick by Thomason. 4 KRB by Frietas.

We are 8-4 at the three quarter mark! Will we finish in the playoffs? I hope so!
