Reading through my own posts here I was definitely skeptical, though I'm not sure if I qualify as one of the "right-leaning" posters. Over the 12 years from when this thread first started I have certainly changed my view, going from down-right skeptic originally to "yeah, it's a problem but I'm still wary of the politics around the solutions" to my current take of "we need to be getting on this problem yesterday, politics be damned".

Perhaps it's a bit of a combo of the right-leaning posters leaving and the centrists moving more left over time?

I know there has been a lot of that.

I think the Overton window has shifted substantially right over the last 20 years, too

Just look at how many Bush voters are now anti-Trump.

Climate change is definitely an issue on which I've switched from conservative to liberal. Most of that I don't think is so much me changing though some of it is. What we know now compared to 20 years ago is much different.

You can put me on that list for both. I think there are clear, significant global shifts in climate that have been observed over the last 30 years. I think I was on the fence at the start of that thread, but recognize it and it's importance now. I voted for Bush II both times, but life changed for me, and perspectives became healthier, and that ended that period of my life. Ten years as an R was enough.

Ted would only roll over if a young girl was drowning right next to him.
