Ann Arbor's Rivera Hammers #300
Monday, September 24th, 2046: The Ann Arbor Wolverines had something to celebrate today even though they dropped a 7-3 decision to New York. The reason -- the splendid slugger Ángel Rivera hit his 300th career homer in today's contest at Legends Stadium.

"I'm fortunate to be here," Rivera told the media after the game. "The Wolverines have a classy organization and some great fans. Homer #300 was for them."

During his career Rivera is hitting .312 with a total of 300 home runs.

Yeah, I was driving in to that work thingee, so I had to leave shortly after putting in my export.

I am glad the team bounced back like I knew it could, although I didn't get the indication from the rundown that offense was key for us like it usually is. I hope that doesn't mean the offense was underachieving, because that's my trump card, usually.

Good luck to the playoff teams tomorrow.

P.S. Teach, I hope the move went well. Glad to see you're online again.

HA, I couldn't compete if I wanted to. No internet. The team is fending for themselves. I have no illusions about how they will do tomorrow.

Bah, I'll chalk this season up to a learning experience. I tried a 4-man rotation this year and unfortunately it did not work out well. I've had success with it in the past but I think I'm going to stick with a 5-man rotation for now.

The offense actually did surprisingly well. The loss of CF Donald Hamilton was made up for by improvement from SS Bernardo Tolento. I'm not sure that we would've made the playoffs even with Hamilton, but it would've been nice to find out!

As always, congratulations to those of you lucky enough to be in the postseason. Enjoy it, and best of luck!

p.s. I will be out of town next week (going to NYC for spring break). I should be able to get my exports in just fine, but I probably won't be able to post on here.

While I see what you're saying, I can't fault him for going to NYC. That's always a great place to visit. Plus, he lives in Chico, which is within 100 miles of the armpit of California that is Sac Town.

Still, he'll probably see less of girls in bikinis in NYC this time of year.

I know I am doing it backwards, but one of my very best friends is living there and I've never been. I'm definitely a big California-sissy when it comes to the cold, so hopefully I luck out with the weather. Probably not going to see many bikinis on this spring break though

lol...so did you see my post, or did we both literally include bikini lines in our responses at the same time? Awesome... great minds.

buck, don't get down about going to NYC. It's a great place to visit. I would like to live there some day, at least for a little while, just to get a more full experience. I think you'll have a ton of fun, and I'll cross my fingers for you on the weather.

Haha, we definitely were thinking the same thing at the same time, and don't worry I'm super excited to be going to NYC. I'm sure the parts of the trip that I remember will be great memories. You are right about Chico though, yes it is in California, but it's not exactly what most people envision California being like. Let's just say that our waves are made of grain (rice really), not ocean water
