The new file is up. Spring training and the amateur draft run tomorrow morning.

I have one piece of urgent league business to bring up though for discussion. As you all are aware for the next few months I have a work project overseas that ties me up at monday nights at 9pm ET so I had to move the sim time up for the last several weeks. One problem is my softball season starts soon and I have occasional Monday night games. I usually don't get home from those until 8:15 or 8:30pm ET. That is going to cause me problems those evenings.

Looking at the league schedule, the dates that would be in conflict are:

May 2nd, May 16th, June 6th, June 13th, July 25th, and possibly AUgust 15th.

So my question to the league is which would you prefer:

A) Those nights that I have conflicts, I just quick sim the season and post up the file once I get a chance (possibly could be as late as 1 or 2am ET without much fanfare.

B) For the next few months we move the regular season sim to Tuesday mornings and playoff sim to Wednesday mornings.

I personally am ok with either of these choices, so interested to see what everyone else would prefer here. Please provide me your feedback!

Whatever is easier for you Alan. I am personally fine with either one of those options - as long as the Cyclones start to win!

With your work schedule I'd be more comfortable with option B. You should be getting in bed ASAP not worrying about a sim left to do.

EDIT: I should note either one is fine with me as well. Option A is just a few weeks and all other stuff is the same. Neither of the options is bad.

Option B is cool! Certainly no sense in doing sims after midnight

Morning sims seem like they would be the most consistent as far as not having to offer people extensions on export deadlines. But of course, my vote is always what's easier and more convenient for Alan!

I insist everything stays as the same, as the resident pendejo.

J/K Alan, you do what's best for you. Between the two options, I probably would go with the AM sims as well, although I will note that is one heck of a long break for the league, from Saturday AM to Tuesday AM.

Its just Sunday and Monday off. (Fool-X for instance takes Saturday and Sunday off now).

I thought about offering Monday morning, but I know for a fact that people who travel on weekends sometimes have problems exporting before monday morning if they get back late Sunday evening. (We used to run into this back on Sunday evening sims when we used to have those). I figured the summer time would only make that even worse, so offered Tuesday morning instead

Actually, I barely count Saturday, too. It's really just about all day Saturday, then Sunday, then Monday. It's three days between sims, in general now, and in fact when we move to a Tuesday morning. You're right, though, that OOTPX runs the same schedule currently; it's just easy to forget ebcause the days missing is the weekend, so it's easier to compartmentalize the league break into the weekend.

All that said, though, I don't want that to detract from my full support to go with whatever works best for your schedule. This will make work on Tuesdays much more fun it currently is. I hate missing the season sims Monday night because of my other job.

Reposting again for those that might have missed it:

Right now it looks like we're leaning towards option B (tuesday mornings). This would not start next week, but would start the week after.

Wow, been a busy week. First, congrats to all the teams that made the playoffs last year, and to Johnny for winning. I sadly wasted two hours getting everything ready and then couldn't get on the internet, because of flying, to upload the export. Oh well, at least I got my second choice player. Looking forward to this next year and the possibility of the playoffs.

As for the sim time, as always, whatever works best for you Alan.

So sad to see so many good to great hitters rotting in free agency this season still. I weep for them *sniff*. Has there been an oversaturation of talent lately or just people not buying as much?
