My owner is not letting me offer a long term contract that easily fits under our salary projections for this and every season after it.

I'm not sure why, as i'm offering less then the "projected money available for free agents."

The actual message i get is "Your owner does not approve this deal, you do not have enough money available."

Yeah, Eddie mentioned something about this last week. My guess is that the game is ignoring the setting that says "Owner does not determine budget, entire budget is available".

I think what I am going to do this offseason when I remove the player development budget is to go manually through every single owner and set them to being the most spending type of owner possible. Hopefully that will be a work around for this issue.

Downside is as soon as owner changes for the team (not the human GM, but the in-game owner), that setting will change and someone will need to remind me to go back and change it again

Eddie, that error seems to happen to me every little while. I'm convinced it's from using a wireless connection and the connection just fizzles out. In my experiences, re-downloading works fine, if not, try a direct connection
