One illegal roster, and one over cap. Owners have been sent PMs if they were at fault. So give me 10-15 minutes and then I'll try to rush through instruction PMs so I don't end up having to rush the sim.

Stonard Bewilders Winemakers in Shutout
Thursday, April 5th, 2136: In an outstanding outing, Anthony Stonard tamed Napa Valley on a 3-hit shutout. The Baltimore hurler went the distance, finishing with 13 strikeouts and no walks in the 10-0 win.

"He had a lot of first pitch strikes and kept us off balance with a lot of off-speed stuff," according to the Napa Valley manager. "We just didn't get too many balls squared up today."

RL Announces Outstanding Batter Award
Tuesday, May 1st, 2136: Pablo Rodríguez battered Republic League pitchers all April and wound up taking home the Batter of the Month Award.

"I've been around Front Office Offseason League long enough to know you really have to work hard day in and day out to be able to put up this kind of consistency," the 31-year-old Rodríguez told reporters. "I put in a lot of work, even on the days I might not take the field, and it's always nice when everything comes together for me like it did this last month."

In 23 games, Rodríguez hit .435 with 14 home runs, 38 RBIs and scored 29 runs.

Sumita Garners CL Batter of the Month Award
Tuesday, May 1st, 2136: When Yoritomo Sumita stepped up to the plate in April, he did it with confidence and today he was honored with the Continental League Batter of the Month award.

The young Baltimore left fielder posted a .484 batting average with 2 home runs, 17 RBIs and scored 23 runs. Sumita also worked pitchers for 14 walks to post a .556 on-base percentage.

Republic League Names Rookie of Month
Tuesday, May 1st, 2136: Youngster Lúcio González emerged as the latest Republic League Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Hammersmith deserved the honor, batting .299 with 7 home runs and 26 runs batted in. Is the month of April a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let González enjoy the limelight.

CL Selects Rookie Star of the Month
Tuesday, May 1st, 2136: Lance Morrow earned April's Rookie of the Month honors in the Continental League for last month's performance. The boyish Brooklyn catcher might be wet behind the ears, but he's proving that he has what it takes to play at this level.

Morrow hit .300 with 5 home runs, 10 RBIs and 17 runs scored this past month on his way to winning the award.

Sunday, May 20th, 2136: It was a quiet day for the Halifax Winter Wolves at Sony Park today. It was Junior Hilton, the Tokyo starting pitcher, who made all the noise. He shut them out 6-0, allowing 2 hits while walking 1 and fanning 10.

Up to now Hilton has compiled an ERA of 5.73 with a 4-4 mark over 9 starts. He has 42 strikeouts in 44 innings and has held opponents to a .268 batting average.

No-Hitter for Romano
Tuesday, May 22nd, 2136: Ann Arbor's Bartolo Romano came up big today at Ann Arbor Grounds with an exceptional 7-0 outing against the Chico Rebels. Not only did he whip them, but Romano held them hitless, too. He brought his "A stuff" to the ballpark, finishing with 6 strikeouts and 3 walks -- a day good enough to get his name in the league record book.

"My arm was a bit sore in warmups," confessed Romano. "Sometimes you go out there and you're not feeling all that hot. You get into the game... and all of a sudden in the seventh inning you look up and see the scoreboard and think to yourself, 'Oh, my goodness, I have a no-hitter!' You're so focused on what you're doing, it just happens."

Then he added, "Nobody goes out to pitch a no-hitter. We just go out and try to get a win. A 10-9 win is better than a 1-0 loss. At least the batters are happy with that kind of win. My pitching buddies might not be too happy giving up 9 runs, though. But hey, a win is a win. The key to it today was I mixed my pitches well. This kept the Rebels off balance and guessing the whole game."

Romano has made 9 starts this season, posting 4 wins and 4 losses. Opposing clubs are batting .249 against him and he has 27 strikeouts in 63.1 innings with a 4.55 ERA.

On the season López has a 6-3 record with a 3.17 ERA.

Hernández Gets May's Top Pitcher Trophy
Friday, June 1st, 2136: Despite the number of years he's been in the league, Luis Hernández still gets excited when he puts together a quality stretch like he had in May. The 33-year-old starter for Baltimore was named Continental League Pitcher of the Month earlier today.

He collected 5 wins and no losses with 43 strikeouts in his 7 starts, putting up a fine 2.36 ERA in 45.2 innings of work.

May's Best Newcomer Named by RL
Friday, June 1st, 2136: Tony López is beginning to make a name for himself and he did it by posting a 5-0 record and a 1.64 ERA in May. For his spectacular mound performance last month he has been named BNN's Rookie of the Month in the Republic League.

The 23-year-old newcomer isn't at all intimidated by his lack of experience, at least not outwardly. In fact, by the way he has pitched beyond his years, you could easily mistake him for a veteran.

In 6 starts for the Bruins López has struck out 34 batters in 44 innings, holding opposing hitters to a batting average of .182 during his hot streak.

So far this year López has compiled a 6-3 record with a 3.17 ERA.

Rookie Swinger Scores Big in May
Friday, June 1st, 2136: Chad Rodríguez is still a bit shy, but then, who could blame the newest Continental League Rookie of the Month honoree? He hasn't been around the league long enough to fully know the ropes yet, despite the fact that he's putting up veteran-like numbers.

In May the Noblesville hitter tagged opposing pitching for a .286 average with 28 hits, 1 home run and 14 RBIs.

Rodríguez is hitting .303 this year with 2 home runs, 28 RBIs and 29 runs scored. He has 64 hits in 211 at-bats, 8 walks and a .338 on-base percentage. Rodríguez has played in 51 games.

Madrigal Twirls Shutout
Tuesday, June 5th, 2136: Héctor Madrigal had the Brooklyn Brownstones dancing to his tune today with a sparkling 8-0 shutout performance for the Noblesville Millers. He gave up 2 hits, issued 3 walks and had 4 strikeouts.

Brooklyn hitters were bewildered throughout the game by his delivery.

The opposing manager said, "When you face a guy who hides the ball like he does, it takes a couple of at-bats to try to find his release point. We just never figured him out."

In season stats Madrigal shows a 8-4 record in 16 games, 83.2 innings, 51 strikeouts and a 4.52 ERA.

Friday, June 15th, 2136: The Ann Arbor Winged Lingerines had something to celebrate today even though they dropped a 8-3 decision to Los Angeles. The reason -- the splendid slugger Pablo Rodríguez hit his 300th career homer in today's contest at Hollywood Park.

"I'm fortunate to be here," Rodríguez told the media after the game. "The Winged Lingerines have a classy organization and some great fans. Homer #300 was for them."

In his 1513-game career Rodríguez is batting .282 with 340 doubles, 21 triples, 300 home runs and 1064 RBIs. He has stolen 5 bases and scored 954 times.

I am not exactly sure what drugs Sumita is on, but I think it is safe to say that we have never had a batting champ that finished 80+ points higher than #2

Currently Sumita's OBP of .527 would be good for second best all time, behind former Chico Catcher's Ed Harris who had an amazing .556 in 2064
