2011 New Year's Bowl Tier: Longhorns (12-1)

2011 Sugar Bowl

New Orleans, Louisiana

Penn State
28

Texas
10

JeeberD Mack, OLB

Penn State RB Jesse Ewiak was named PotG, but the real story was the Nittany Lion defense and the special ability of the Longhorns to shoot themselves in the foot. Texas had only 13 FDs on the day while contributing 3 turnovers and committing 14 penalties- more than their first down total.

Mack's Stats:
7 Tackles
1 Assists
2.0 Sacks
0 INT
1 Defn
0 Hurry
1 Stokes

2011 New Year's Bowl Tier: Cougars (12-0)

2011 Fiesta Bowl

Tempe, Arizona

Washington State
63
4 OT
Virginia Tech
57

Cody Myers, QB

Wow!! What a game. Tech scored with 42 seconds left to tie, then the Cougars missed a long FG on the last play of regulation. The first 3 OTs saw each team score a TD. In the 4th OT, State went first and scored in three plays but missed the try for 2. The Hokies took over and ran three times for a 1st down at the 7. A holding made it 1st and 10 at the 17 yard line. Three more runs netted 6 yards. 4th downfrom the Cougar 11 saw a sack of the Virginia Tech QB and Washington State had their perfect season intact.

Myers' Stats:
Pass: 33 of 51 for 316 Yards, 2 TDs, 1 INTs
Rush: 2- 8- 0 TDs
3 Stokes

Since your backup sucks, it probably would have been quite a different game.

I apologize for that as before but when one hits the reply button and waits 90 seconds to be able to do anything, then hits submit reply and waits 120 seconds to have the thing actually posted...it kinda quells the desire to post shit.

Now multiply that times the number of posts that are made for each week of play, or (at this point) the number of posts that are made to recap the season every year of play...it kinda quells the desire to post shit.

Now remember that every week of TCY play has a corresponding week for the FOF thread and that each of those weeks has 10-12 posts also, well...it kinda quells the desire to post shit.

Anyway, I have tried everything I know (granted that's not much) to figure out the problem and even had one of the Tech guys from my school come over to my house to check it out. I tried d'loading and running Firefox but that browser also had issues with this site. I just do not know what else to check or what settings to change.

School starts for real monday, so I plan to copy the files to a flash drive and post them from there if all else continues to fail.

And yeah, I AM bitter/pissed off about this also.

WEEK 20: The Championship Tier- Panthers (12-0), Volunteers (12-1)

2011 Championship Game
Miami, Florida

Pittsburgh
33

20
Tennessee

Stan Gunner, ILB
FINAL
Rob Maier, OT

Marc Adams, QB
Tater Gator, WR

Mister Sachmo, RB

T.E. Almighty, QB

Turning the ball over on downs at midfield, missing FGs and 12 FDs. It was not to be for Tennessee (haha, that rhymes). Pitt QB Van Merloni played like a champion while Vol QB Almighty finally played like what he is…a freshman. Merloni completed 79% of his passes with no INt while Almighty completed only 44% of his and threw a pick that was returned 94 yards for a TD. With that, the Pitt Panthers have earned their first National Championship. "...Hail to Pitt, hail to Pitt 'til the victory is won..."

Gunner's Stats:
3 Tackles
4 Assists
0 Sacks
0 INTs
1 Defn
0 ForFum
1 Stokes

Adams' Stats:
DNP

Maier's Stats:
0 KRBs
3 KBOs
0 SkA
0 Stokes

Gator's Stats:
4 Receptions
53 Yards
0 TDs
0 Stokes

Sachmo's Stats:
Rush: 8 carries- 62 yards- 0 TDs
Rec: 3 catches- 45 yards- 0 TDs
4 Stokes

Almighty's Stats:
Pass: 12 of 27 for 224 Yards, 1 TDs, 1 Int
Rush: 12- 36- 0 TDs
1 Stokes

Wait, you expect to make it to the championship game?

I'll see you there...I'll be the guy running by you with that INT you threw.
