I love South Carolina politics

Republican state senator Kevin Bryant posted the following picture on his blog, just the picture, no words (the post is since removed)

Since then, his latest posts says he is now the victim of the vulgar left who said the photo was in bad taste. He said he just wanted to promote discussions on Obama's foreign policy experience.

Is there any reason to hope for the future of politics in America, let alone at the local level?

P.S., I love this quote from his latest post: "I believe that America has avoided another terrorist attack precisely because President Bush has been office for the past 8 years."

Umm, when did 9/11 occur?

It continues to amaze me that some people actually believe Obama is a Muslim despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

Your high view of the intelligence of the average American is kinda cute.

I miss living in SC except for the politics. I felt like the lone democrat in the whole state.

Charming as always. I expect some of our fine brethren here would approve.

Tangent: I always find Southern Democrats fascinating - far more than there Northeastern Republican counterparts.

Mildly amusing, but not exactly the most creative thing I've seen lately.

Okay, if that's a line he's really trying to sell then he needs to grow a pair. Either stand by it if you're going to post it (the blog guy I mean) or don't post it at all.

Doesn't matter. He said how long Bush has been in office, which is 7-1/2 years (so he was off by 6 months). Not "there hasn't been a terrorist attack in 8 years because Bush has been in office".

I have a college degree. Almost everyone I know has a college degree. I only personally know one person who thinks Obama is a Muslim and she's 19 and knows nothing about politics. I guess I run with the wrong crowds.
