FOF 2004 Questions
Ok... I'm just about to order FOF 2004 and I think I know the answers to at least most of the following questions. Still, I want to make absolutely sure before I throw down my $$$.
1. Can you have less than 32 teams in your league? And if so, can you align conferences/divisions the way you want them? It seems as if the answer to both of these questions is yes, by using the multi-player option. However, since this function is disabled in the demo, I can't say for certain. I just want to make sure I can set up, for example, a 20-team league with 2 conferences and 4 divisions and if I do, that all features of the regular game will apply. 2. Can we edit the names/information for coaches and coordinators? I'm assuming this is possible using a third-party editor, but I want to make sure because I don't like the names the game generates. 3. Is it possible to edit the text colors used in the various lists used in the game? I know most of the game's color schemes can be edited within the game options screen. However, if I wanted, for instance, a black background on my lists, I want all of the text to show up. It appears as if I wouldn't be able to see the darker-colored text if I used a dark background. I'm wondering if this is something I can use Resource Hacker to adjust. If so, could someone explain how? 4. Where can I find out what each column in the CSV player files mean? I can't seem to find this anywhere. I know I must be overlooking it. Could someone please point me in the right direction? I guess that's all I need to know for now. Assuming I can do all of the things mentioned above, I will be a happy new owner of FOF 2004 in a matter of a few hours. Thanks for your help. Last edited by pocketpasser : 11-25-2003 at 12:00 AM. |

To clarify #1:
You have to have 32 teams, and you cannot change the structure of the alignment. In other words you have to have 8 four team divisions. You can change the team names if you wanted to put Atlanta, St. Louis, New Orleans, and San Fransciso in a Western Division, for example. For multi-player you do not have to have 32 owners. You could have 20 human controlled teams and 12 CPU controlled teams. Wasn't sure if this was your question or if you wanted to only have a 20 team league, so I figured I'd answer both.

#2 - this should be possible using a third party editor, but to my knowledge none has been created yet.
