- #25 coaches poll, #21 media poll
- We lost the Holiday Bowl to UCLA by a a score of 44-23.
- A critical loss to Baylor in the last week of the season knocked us out of the Big XII title game. My quote before the game, "Well barring disaster against Baylor, it looks like I'll get my rematch with OU." Baylor scored 3 defensive TD's to beat us as we absolutely dominated the game. Baylor finished that season 2-10 (1-7). DOH!

- This season we did not collapse and were able to take the Big XII North. Unfortunately we got beat in the Bix XII title game and did not make the playoffs.
- We lost the Cotton Bowl to Ole Miss by a score of 31-13.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Pryor is the clear starter heading into the season. He has the most talent and has proven that he can preform well in the Big XII. Montgomery gives us a soild #2 who has been a starter in the past. We will need to address the depth of the QB position this offseason as Johnson looks to be the front runner for the starting spot in 2011.

POSITION SUMMARY:
In previous seasons, we had suberb depth at the LB spot and it allowed us to employ a 3-4 scheme. This season we are probably going to switch to a 4-3 to suit our team's strength. Smith and Cole shoud benefit from our strong front four and land All-Conference awards. Blanco is going to be moved to SS and probably be redshirted. We also have a few walkon players in our LB corps.

POSITION SUMMARY:
I like our depth at FS and am debating if I want to redshirt Burrell instead of Smith. My reasoning would be to give Burrell two seasons as a starter nad Smith could get his feet wet. Brown is the starter at SS and should be respectable. This is another position that we have not been able to recruit well.
