Day 1

Fearghus is the first of our Trout contingent to arrive with his trusty sidekick Dismas, a Highwayman. Together they must tackle the hazards of the old road to reach our hamlet.

They quickly encounter a Brigand Cutthroat, who misses Fearghus with an upper cut slice, then falls dead as Dismas connects with open vein for a critical hit. Our dashing duo earn 100 gold. Spying his tent, Dismas finds good fortune and another 150 gold.

Moving to the edge of the Hamlet, we are set upon by a Brigand Bloodletter and a Brigand Fusilier. The battle rages three rounds, with both our party being hit by a blanket shot from the Fusilier and Fearghus being reduced to 7 HP after a critical hit from the Bloodletter. Our men rally however and land back to back critical hits to smite the Bloodletter, before Dismas dispatches the Fusilier with a second critical hit from open vein. We collect jewels, bandages and a torch before moving into the Hamlet to set up camp.

Total treasure values 1250 gold and we collect another 5000 gold for clearing the road. Each gain 2 resolve XP, while Dismas has the misfortune of picking up the clumsy trait (-5 dodge)

In town we upgrade our Stagecoach to allow a maximum roster of 11 and 3 new heroes per day. Bistro, a skilled Vestal and Martel an enigmatic Plague Doctor join the righteous cause.

Day 2

We head to the ruins to with orders to defeat all vile creatures occupying the rooms. Our party will consist of Fearghus, Dismas, Bistro and Martel, then only four we have in camp, but each providing a needed function. We get provisions, which includes 8 torches, 8 food, a shovel, a key, 4 banages and 2 anti-venom and depart.

We head east Martel opens an iron maiden and is trapped, developing claustrophobia. Going into the first room we encouter 4 spiders (2 webbers, 2 spitters) but was have the element of surprise. Our free attack produces wounds, but no kills and Martel is able to stun a spitter. Bistro takes out the other spitter with illumination, Dismas kills both webbers with grapeshot and Fearghus smites the last spitter. We gain 500 gold, 2 busts and a torch, taking no damage!

We head north and Martel is hit for 6 from a trap, Dismas gets jewels, 2 food and 250 gold from a back pack. We enter room two and it is empty, scouting reveals a battle and a chest await in the corridor ahead.

We continue north and encounter two bone rabble and one bone soldier. After a grapeshot from Dismas, Bistro kills onw with illumination. Fearghus takes a critical hit for 11, but dispatches a bone rabble with zealous accusation. Back to Dismas who kills the last rabble with open vein. We collect 125 gold and jewels, plus another 750 gold from a sack against the wall.

Room 3 brings our first tough battle, a bone defender, a cultist brawler, a cultist acolyte and a bone arbalist, but again we have the element of surprise. We take advantage and Fearghus dispatches the brawler with zealous accusation. Dismas rakes them with grapeshot in round 2 and Fearghus follows with zealous accusation again, killing the acolyte. Bistro does a party heal as we took some minimal damage, healing for 2 each. Bistro is up again and banishes the bone defender with hand of light. Martel blights the arbalist and after Fearghus smites him for 7 he dies from effects of the blight, Martel gets on the board. Booty is a move stone, sapphire, onyx and 2 busts. Dismas opens a chest and gets hit with a blade trap and afflicted with bleed. He uses a bandage to stop it.

We scout some more and it looks like a clear run to the room to our east, which may be the last one. We run into rubble and apparently I forgot me shovel, we all take 1-2 damage clearing it, Bistro prays to an alter of light and gets a damage buff as we head into room 4.

We are met by a cultist brawler, a bone soldier, a cultist accolyte and a bone courtier. Dismas gets off first attack and hits grapeshot on the first three. This is going to be tougher as Dismas is hit with a bleed and Fearghus gets knocked back two from the tank spot. Bistro kills the bone soldier with illumination, but Fearghus has to advance towards the front losing an attack. Dismas is down to 9 HP so Bistro heals him for 3, Dismas also bandages himself to stop the bleeding. Fearghus calls on zealous accusation and the accolyte falls, with the brawler taking damage. Dismas finishes the brawler with open vein, party heal from bistro, noxious blast from Martel and smite from Feaghus and it is over. Loot is holy water, herbs and 200 gold, but the sarcophagus in the room is empty.

We have completed the assigned quest as all monsters lie slain and we came out in decent shape, though Bistro has 72 stress and Martel 64, they will be due for a visit to the abbey.

Total value of our haul: 4325 gold in loot, a 3000 gold reward, 2 busts and 2 crests (these are used for town upgrades) Each party member gets 2 resolve XP (all four now level 1).

Traits acquired
Dismas: Hard Skinned +
Bistro: Fragile -
Martel:Tippler -

Kills
Fearghus: 5
Dismas: 4
Bistro: 4
Martel: 1

We head back to town and add a Hellion - Coffee Warlord and a Grave Robber - Parthenai to our ranks.

Martle now has the tippler trait so can only drink for stress relief, so off to the tavern for him (1000 gold) and Bistro goes to the Abbey to meditate (1000 gold). I upgrade all three aspects of the abbey (meditation, prayer and penance) for 4 busts and 4 crests each. With that we call it a day.

(Note: The Roster on post 1 will be updated with your heroes stats after each quest)

A pretty good go of it for Bistro, minus becoming fragile. Four kills and some nice heals.
