Looks like I miised a lot and it looks like we have some good moves to analyze for day one. Even with the no lynch that should make for a good bit of day one data.

unvote hoops was all that mattered.

As I suggested earlier, I thought it was highly probable that a tie would lynch both leading vote-getters. By splitting your votes, you let the villagers decide which of the kittehs to give the ax.

How did the villagers get to decide that?
How do you know those two are kittehs?
I don't like to play "if I were a wolf, why would I?" but I'm going to. Maybe it's because I'm being lumped in with Lathum that's making me do it. But you really think that if Lathum, me, and hoops were wolves, that Lathum and I would vote for hoops, knowing he's a guy who gets a lot of Day 1 votes, only to unvote him simultaneously five minutes to deadline?

It's my experience that close votes like this almost certainly mean that we had a wolf in the targets somewhere. I'd frankly be shocked if one of those 3 isn't a wolf. Hence why I'm prone to late vote switches like that as a villager, kinda like a mini-duke. If I'm vanilla as I am this game, I'll take a shot figuring worst-case I miss and at least I'm not roled when I die later.

I was going to break the tie, but I couldn't figure out who was exactly tied when I got back from smoking at like 8:58. I was pretty sure my only option to break was to switch to PB and frankly of the 3 people up there, I'd rank him last as far as actually thinking he's the wolf. But I couldn't count up the votes quick enough anyways so I wasn't sure.

As far as me protecting PB, well, whatever, I wasn't. I don't really have a "defense" against it, but I wasn't, I'm as kitteh as kitteh can be. Go ahead and lynch me if that's a problem.

Actually no, this is wrong. I made the Hoops choice although that apparently didn't matter as Mccollins had unvoted Cronin and then I didn't have a choice but to switch to Cronin. So basically somewhere in all that movement, people basically attempted to take my choice away.

Except that invariably 3-4 people end up thinking the same thing and all hell breaks loose right at deadline - ending in a tie.

I hate the late vote switches for no reason.

The point is that he took responsibility away from you. Both of your votes were completely self-defense, so you never really had to choose which of the two you thought was a wolf. There was a LONG time where it was 4-4-4, but you didn't "choose" until a few minutes after mccollins changed things up. Of course, from your POV, once mccollins did that, that's of course what you should have done -- but I think it's significant that mccollins created that situation, and you didn't do anything until he did that.

Pass - you were either suspicious of hoops or not. If you thought that one of PB or me was a wolf, then you should have picked one of us. By voting hoops, all you did was make it less likely that either PB or me would get lynched. I just don't see any way your play can be read as villager friendly.

Anyway I'm still new to the game and figuring out. I figured I'd just pick Lathum since he said he was a wolfie, what more reason so I need. He looks guilty...

Yes, on the theory that in that scenario hoops was a dog and the other two were kittehs. The other dogs in the scenario, Pass and Lathum, unvote their dog-mate and then they don't care which of the other two get lynched since they are both villagers to them.

Again, it's just a theory for the scenario.

Okay, we've got two hours until night is over. I'm going to put out a distrust list in case we get killed, and I suggest others do the same:

1. PurdueBrad
2. mccollins
3. jeheinz72

This is an ordered list.

Haven't seen enough yet so no CoT list but a possible distrust list based on late moves:

jeheinz
PurdueBran
mccollins

I want to add cronin to that list but can't find a reason yet (I guess I can't let go of that first game when you fooled me on the last day of the game and then ripped my throat open with your wolfish fangs).

No particular order though.

Well, I'm glad to be around although not all that thrilled with how the no-lynch went down. Color me surprised that Clap had that as his tie-breaking mechanism.

I'm still swamped at work, but I'll definitely catch up with this over the weekend. If someone has time, putting together a complete vote record for today would probably be helpful.

Example:
Player A votes Player B (post #100)
Player C votes Player A (post #101)
Player A unvotes Player B, votes Player C (Post #102)

And to me, your reasoning/analysis has either been 1) bordering on the insane, 2) exceptionally wolfish.

'Just letting people vote' is worthless. You HAVE to push people, force debates, push buttons, scoop the litterbox, etc etc etc. I have no role, and when I have no role, I'm going to call people out and push buttons, right or wrong, until I get killed.
