If we don't get 2 more sign-ups by midnight, we'll just run with 10 teams and start Friday morning.

it's about sports so most people here are uninterested. if it was about condiments or off broadway musicals you'd be turning people away.

Awesome. Thanks, Radii.

I'll wait until tomorrow morning to see if we get two more for the standard 12. If not, we'll just run with what we have.

Incredibly sad, but true.

Your 14 players will each play in 4 different sports. So you draft Pujols, then you have to pick a position for him in basketball, football, and soccer.

The idea is to find people who could theoretically be good in multiple sports.

I'm tempted to try this, however, your restriction on 7 retired players puts me off. I would prefer to take players who have demonstrated their ability in more than one sport, rather than 'theoretically' have that ability. Most of those athletes are retired, and pretty much every player I would want to pick would be retired. Or dead.

Understood. The 7 retired was part of a compromise. Some people wanted retired. Some wanted current.

Also, as in most drafts, the split between past and present picks simply creates some strategy.
