I wonder though, does the answer make any difference? If he has his stuff together, what does any mistake in life his mother made have to do with his catching the damn ball?

Well to be fair... his mother might have effected him mentally. He could have serial killer tendencies and given the Dolphins history with violent players (Lawrence Phillips, Cecil Collins, etc.) I don't blame them.

Honestly, I don't have a major issue with it. I don't think the question was really about his mother at all, I think they just wanted to see how he'd react to that question given his reputation. Easy to criticize them for it, but if the team drafts him and he ends up being in the headlines continously for his bad behaviour then they get slammed for a drafting a guy with character issues. *shrug*
