Can It Be Done? (WSOP Result)
Can someone who plays on Pokerstars, plays live poker games 2 times a month, watches all kinds of sports and talks about poker go from July 15 to Nov 15, which is the air date of the final hands of the WSOP Main Event, without knowing who won the event?
He doesn't want to know any results and see the shows "live". I'm saying it can't be done or it's very long odds that he doesn't read or overhear the winner over the 123 days. What would you set the line at for success?

Probably better odds of flopping a royal flush.. If the winner is from Pokerstars again, I would say you have absolutely no chance.

If he doesn't change his lifestyle I'd say they are impossible odds.

I'd love to make this a reality show.
Maybe I can bet him.

I doubt it, I think you would have to avoid all TV and print for at least a week after the event was over and stay off the internet during the main event and 2 weeks after. The buzz of the event will come down after then, but even so, I think it will be long odds. Besides, the odds of a name player ever winning again are slim to none.

ESPN doesn't even try to hide the outcome. I remember reading an article about Raymer in ESPN Magazine, before the Main Event even aired. The chances of him living his current lifestyle and not having it spoiled, are minimal at best.

no way in hell. He won't be able to log into pokerstars without knowing the result, much less read ESPN.

Ive done my best to avoid all spoilers, i know 2 winners thanks to an AP pop up and a front page article on Yahoo, both pissed me off to no end because they would have been a boatload of fun to watch not knowing the results.

It's going to be impossible to avoid hearing about it this year, since the competition will be so huge and the top prize will be the largest ever. It will be very difficult for a "name" player to win it, so everyone will love telling the story of how "AllinBaby87" won $10 million dollars.

Pokerstars is also probably going to do a simulcast of the final table, like they did last year.
