My PureSim "retirement" is over :)

Not exactly huge news I know, but I wanted to let you guys know PureSim is back and going strong. I just couldn't stay away!

I'd love to get your feedback on the possible directions I could go with the game. The details are in this post I'm interested to hear your thoughts.

PureSim is certainly the underdog, but I really missed it!

Heh heh. That's good for you. It shows that you really enjoy what you are doing since it was still on your mind after all this time. That's great that your family is letting you pursue this goal and I hope it will work out for you in the end.

After reading your post on the other forum, I definitely like the idea of open access to the database. One thing that is lacking in a number of text sims is access to the data behind the scenes. If done right, this can open a whole bunch of opportunities for you.

Not sure how the annual subscription model will work out, but it is definitely something new and price point for the expansion pack feels right.

Congrats sir.

I love Baseball too much and have a 9 year investment in PureSim, so it's not likely. I did do some freelance work for Gary on Total Pro Golf 1 and 2 and that was really refreshing.

Well, at least your retirement wasn't like Roger Clemens. Because no way would we let you skip out on road games.

Welcome back.

If you ever can add in a small animated field for the PBP like Tony LaRussa 2 did back in 1996, I'd buy it.

Hell, it'd be ground breaking.

I like the idea. I remember Microleague Baseball when I was a kid, and loved that aspect.

Congrats and welcome back Shaun. I second the idea for Microleague style animation, that would be excellent.

Not sure who Lance Bass is, but from what I can infer context-wise I guess I deserve that.

He's a guy from a boy band. That is Rizon's standard line when something happens that he thought was obvious it would happen. It wasn't a shot at you.

How did the Microleague graphics compare to good old Earl Weaver graphics? Being that I'm a BIG fan of the FM dots, I'd love to see even Earl Weaver style graphics resurrected.

This is great news. Especially since I highly doubt we'll be seeing a baseball game from Jim anytime soon.

I got her inside scoop. And that's all I have to say about that.

Great news. I am forcing myself to play OOTP 07 but it can be a real chore setting things up. The thing OOTP needs more than anything is accurate historical expansion adn it would be perfect.IMHO
