Some NFL Trivia

1) In 2001 Jet's RB Curtis Martin became the third player in NFL history to run for 1,000 yards in each of his first 7 seasons. Who were the first two?

2) Who were the only 2 NFL players to win league rushing titles in each of their first 3 seasons?

3) Phil Simms is the all-time leading passer for the Giants with 33,462 yards. Name the four other quarterbacks in franchise history to throw for at least 9,000 yards (for the Giants).

1) Barry Sanders, is of course correct. Emmitt is not.

2) no

3) Collins and Tarkenton are both correct. So there are 2 more to go.

#1 would have been Tony Dorsett, if not for the 1982 strike.

actually, if not for that interruption, he would have had an amazing 9 straight.

Here are the ones that have been answered correctly:

1) Barry Sanders and Erik Dickerson (good job DD)
2) (somebody) and (somebody else)

3) Collins, Tarkenton, Tittle, and (somebody)

What is the new football-reference URL please. And its not cheating, its research.

I would gues the only ones to lead the league first three years are Jim Brown and Dickerson, with Earl Campbell being my third guess.

I would have to guess Otto (not to be confused with Kent) Graham as the 4th Giant.

Jim Brown and Earl Campbell are correct for #2. nice work!

We just need that final Giants QB. It is not Graham, Kent or otherwise.

Took a well-placed phone call, but #3 is:

Y.A. Tittle
Kerry Collins
Fran Tarkenton
Charlie Conerly

...and that concludes this edition of 'Some NFL Trivia'

I recall a good Superbowl trivia website that I will try to look up later for more questions.
