I'm enjoying it, despite the fact that obviously the reason UCLA did not win the title is because Rob Nielsen did not have the damn ball enough!

Eric Anderson Jr. - SG Wisconsin - Senior

6-7
30.8 MIN - 10.3 PTS - 5.5 REB - 2.5 AST - 2.5 STL - 0.2 BLK - 1.6 TO
42% FG - 33% 3P - 56% FT

Anderson's numbers have been alright, but the Badgers have struggled.

Tim Moungey - PG Ohio State - Senior

9-1 - #11
29.3 MIN - 14.8 PTS - 4.2 AST - 2.7 REB - 3.7 STL - 2.2 TO
50% FG - 32% 3P - 77% FT

It's definitely been a good start for the Buckeyes. Moungey's scoring has gone up quite a bit so far this season. A 84-70 win over North Carolina was a sign that they can compete with the great teams in the country.

Rob Nielsen - SF UCLA - Senior

8-2 - #22
30.1 MIN - 17.1 PTS - 5.0 REB - 3.4 AST - 3.6 STL - 4.4 TO
59% FG - 54& 3P - 74% FT

Nielsen has missed the last 3 games with an injury and will miss the next 9 days but when he has been on the court he has been great. His shooting has been amazing so far.

Jeff Nights - PF UCLA - Senior

8-2 - #22
33.4 MIN - 24.0 PTS - 12.4 REB - 2.4 AST - 0.8 BLK - 0.9 STL - 3.1 TO
49% FG - 20% 3P - 88% FT

Wow. Nights numbers are those of a guy who wants to become the NCAA Player of the Year this season. His high games this season are 32 in points and 21 in rebounds.

AJ Tucker - PG Missouri - Senior

9-3 - #21
30.7 MIN - 12.9 PTS - 6.2 AST - 3.3 REB - 2.8 STL - 4.2 TO
50% FG - 30% 3P - 88% FT

As always Tucker remains very steady for the Tigers and they are playing well. Their biggest win is over Maryland.

Nick Phillips - C USC - Senior

12-0 - #2
33.0 MIN - 26.8 PTS - 12.5 REB - 2.1 AST - 2.7 BLK - 0.6 STL - 4.8 TO
63% FG - 86% FT

USC is rolling once again and Phillips is an absolute monster. The battle for National Player of the Year could come right down to a battle in the Pac-10 between Phillips and Nights.

Rudy Ray Moore - SG Illinois - Senior

8-5
31.8 MIN - 17.7 PTS - 4.2 REB - 2.8 AST - 0.6 STL - 5.7 TO
46% FG - 50% 3P - 88% FT

Moore's numbers look very good, except for his turnovers.

Ryan Clark - SG Wright State - Senior

5-4
33.6 MIN - 17.6 PTS - 3.0 REB - 2.0 AST - 1.3 STL - 3.3 TO
38% FG - 38% 3P - 82% FT

Clark has had much more success this season than in any other season thus far. His scoring numbers are very good.

Deacon Palmer - SF Alabama - Redshirt Junior

9-0 - #6
25.2 MIN - 9.6 PTS - 4.2 REB - 2.0 AST - 1.8 STL - 4.2 TO
53% FG - 33% 3P - 80% FT

Alabama has been very good this year and Palmer is a major part of that. He has logged many minutes off the bench for Alabama and is playing well.

Andy Robinson - PF Stanford - Junior

10-2 - #4
30.7 MIN - 19.3 PTS - 12.0 REB - 3.7 AST - 3.7 BLK - 0.4 STL - 2.1 TO
57% FG - 90% FT

Why wasn't this guy a starter before? The way Robinson is playing in his first year as a starter makes me question whether or not the coaches knew how good he really was before.

Kyle Kappe - SG Stanford - Junior

10-2 - #4
28.8 MIN - 14.9 PTS - 2.2 REB - 4.5 AST - 0.9 STL - 2.8 TO
46% FG - 39% 3P - 75% FT

Kappe has played very well for the Cardinal once again. He is 2nd on the team in scoring behind Robinson.

Damien Steele - PG Oregon State - Junior

8-2
15.5 MIN - 10.4 PTS - 2.0 REB - 1.9 AST - 1.2 STL - 1.1 TO
57% FG - 57% 3P - 77% FT

28.4 MIN - 17.1 PTS - 7.1 REB - 2.3 AST - 1.4 BLK - 0.6 STL - 1.4 TO
41% FG - 85% FT

It's been a great start for both Eckberg and the Cowboys. Eckberg has looked very impressive.

Rick Jolley - C Mississippi - Junior

9-4
27.2 MIN - 12.9 PTS - 9.8 REB - 2.0 AST - 0.5 BLK - 0.4 STL - 3.7 TO
48% FG - 56% FT

Jolley's scoring remains about the same as last years but his rebounding numbers are much better. Mississippi has had one bad loss, to Western Kentucky.

Dylan Airhart - SG Indiana - Junior

9-4 - #17
23.7 MIN - 16.8 PTS - 2.5 REB - 3.2 AST - 1.5 STL - 2.8 TO
46% FG - 39% 3P - 92% FT

Airhart's minutes have gone down quite a bit this season, but his scoring has gone way up. Three of Indiana's losses were to teams with a combined record of 31-4, Utah, Kansas and Cincinnati. But the other loss was a 100-99 loss to 2-11 Murray State.

This kid does not play like a sophomore at all. Lucas has been outstanding once again and is one the nation's top players.

Stringer Bell - SF Kentucky - Redshirt Sophomore

5-6
27.1 MIN - 9.1 PTS - 3.3 REB - 1.2 AST - 1.6 STL - 0.3 BLK - 3.0 TO

Agreed on liking the way you reported the tourney results. I expect it was quite a bit of work to post all of that information. I'm happy to look at whatever information you feel like posting, but the jump from 7 games (Elite 8) to 64 games (65 teams) is probably a pretty big one in terms of effort on your part.

I think you should stick with Elite 8 on myself. 64 games is too much.

I love that the Buckeyes are finally kicking ass

Phillips and USC look solid once again and hopefully they can make one last one at it. Also Player of the Year should show the better player between Phillips and Nights.

Lucas looks to have Kansas on track with a top 25 team lets hope they keep it up.

There probably won't be an update today. My basketball team has their first game tonight. But I still might be able put an update up late tonight.

This is definitely not the way Anderson wanted his career at Wisconsin to end.

It's been a nice season for Moungey and the Buckeyes. Their first tournament appearance while Tim has been on campus is coming up.

Rob Nielsen - SF UCLA - Senior

Nielsen's numbers are still impressive as UCLA finds itself as a top team in the country again this season. UCLA beat USC in their first meeting but lost in the second.

Jeff Nights - PF UCLA - Senior

24-6 - 14-4 - #9

PHP Code:

Tucker's numbers have fallen off a bit and Missouri could be in danger of missing the big dance.

Nick Phillips - C USC - Senior

Championship

USC 35-3 vs. UCLA 29-7
Nick Phillips vs. Jeff Nights & Rob Nielsen

It's an all FOFC, all Pac 10 Championship game. The final meeting between Phillips, Nights and Nielsen in their very successful collegiate careers. This is UCLA's second straight appearance in the title game.

Nice NIT tourney for RJolley.

SJolley needs more time, but he's got a good PG ahead of him. IU needs to go to a 3 guard offense.

What a heartbreaking second round loss! If only I could've done more. Ironic that we beat one of the unis I'm considering for grad school in the opening round, though.
