Alright. If it's acceptable to the governors (I don't know if I need approval to spend treasury funds or not), here's what I'd like to do.

1) Upgrade Warrior to Spearman in Edinburgh.
2) Transfer Highlander & Archer to Dunfermline.
3) Transfer Warriors in Dunfermline back to Edinburgh, and upgrade them to Spearmen.
4) Upgrade Warrior to Spearman in Stirling.

400 gold and change, all said and done. But warriors are pretty much useless at this point.

1 - you have to work with Gi on this
2 - ok
3 - ok to the move, Gi approval for the $ (keep in mind, Gi, spend unwisely and a governor can bring you to a vote of confidence and a new election for that position - same with CW)

It appears that all 'good' land for founding new cities is in the hands of infidels. While I wish to maintain 100% research, I will offer 50% or around 480 for these needed upgrades. This will allow for 100% research to continue while you add cities to our beloved Scotland.

I look forward to your plan for War. I believe this is the only way for our middle of the road position among the other civilizations to improve. Stirling is ready to build either a barracks or warriors per your recommendation.

Since The defense and finance ministers have come to an agreement regarding the state of our military i will begin to execute CW's plan since it remains domestic.

#4 however is invalid as Stirling cannot upgrade that Warrior. Please advise, I will wait for the Edinburgh's units complete transfer to Dunfermline, before starting the Dunfermline's units to Edinburgh. Unless you tell me to make them simultaneous which would lead Dunfermline completely exposed (and maybe one vote of confidence )

Oh yeah, absolutely wait for the Edinburgh contingent to arrive before you ferry the warriors around.

And, we can alter #4. Once the Dunfermline army gets into Edinburgh and upgraded, ship one of them to Stirling and swap em with the Warrior.

Thanks. Could you tell me what impact switching a regular citizen to either:

1) a merchant or
2) a priest

would have, in terms of hammers/culture/great person, etc.? From what I see, we're alread maxed it in artist and scientists are not available yet. I don't recall ever seeing the other two faces to the left of the specialists square. I assume they came with ViSa, what are they?

I'm thinking that with the city's health borderline on being ill, I'd rather take a tiny hit in growth in order to boost our chance of generating a great person, as long as it doesn't slow down production.
