So……let’s just have the new 16 team SEC champion play 16 team Big “16” conference champ each year or go back to the nebulous bowl games of the pre 2000 era. I prefer the later but even expecting the Pac12, ACC, or Big 12 champ competing against the Big 10 or SEC regularly is a joke at this point. The other conferences are a different league and literally should not be part of it.

It's never not a good time to make a joke at Miami's expense.

So, Hill didn't make it after all, or is Bowers all-world even with a talented defender?

I almost got a trial of Sling for this... looking like a good decision so far.

That was an embarrassing non-call on the INT. That wasn't just PI it was a mugging.

What an unsurprising disappointment (again) of non-competitive college football in the playoffs. I dont know why CF is still so popular. Unless you are alumni or have strong ties to your "home team", or from the south I suppose; why watch (assuming you like football)? The coach from NC state might be a crackpot but I think he got it right about the NCAA.

Oh yeah, I saw the one where he was the football owner/exec and killed Dean Stockwell while masquerading as an ice cream man.

No. College games are more fun in general. Close or not, they are generally more exciting than boring, plodding NFL games. I can sit down and watch a whole slate of games on Saturdays. I have the Falcons on in the back ground on Sundays. Could care less to watch other NFL games. They are generally dull.

I guess it didn't matter. I thought this might happen. Until the Alabama game, Georgia looked untouchable. It obviously takes elite weapons at several positions to make their defense vulnerable and whatever Michigan had at times going for their defense, there were always unexplained lapses against mediocre teams like Nebraska.

It's unfortunate. I wanted to believe, but it wasn't to be. I would have gotten ESPN for the Alabama game if they had shown they were ready for this level.

Yeah, something just seems different this year. Still impressive but I feel like if things were clicking for them, they would have beat Cincy by 40.

Trying to figure out if Georgia just had a bad, weird game against Alabama and can win the title, or if Alabama is just that much better than everyone.

Psychology plays a large role in it. If power ratings determined the outcome, then UGA would win. But Alabama is in their head, and always seems to come up with a way to win when it matters most. It’s up to the Georgia players and coaches to change that narrative.

And once again, evidence of why a 4-team playoff is at least two too many the majority of the time.

And the last thing anyone bitching about blowouts should want is adding even more of them to the mix with an extra layer of cannon fodder.

Pretty typical. Alabama wins convincingly with their "B game" while Georgia is putting out their "A" game tonight.

If patterns hold to form Alabama will come out with their "A game" in the Championship while Georgia plays another "B or C game".

He also has elite speed. But he's mistake-prone and single-handedly blew the Michigan State game with his inability to assess the situation. He's also young and could be truly good in a year or so.

I just think if you're going to beat the top schools, you're going to need more than a game manager.

I feel really bad for all the defenders who get run over by offensive players who lower their head.

EDIT: and are not penalized. Why is there less of a risk of an offensive player injuring themselves or others when they lower their heard as opposed to the defensive player?

It hasn't hindered UGAg much this season.

If they somehow manage to slay their personal dragon next week, it'll be the worst QB to win a natty in ... damn, I don't even know off hand how long. He's not even a good game manager at times.

Eh ... Krenzel was drafted AND ended up starting 5 NFL games (going 3-2).

The only way I can even imagine Bennett getting to an NFL game is if he buys a ticket.
