Playing on a MAC - Is Parallels a reliable way to play?
I have a 2018 MacBook Pro that I'm using for grad school. I currently do not have the option of purchasing a new laptop or computer but have always wanted to play FOF. Does anyone know how reliable the Parallels version of this game is? I would hate to shell out the $ for the program just to find out down the road that there's major glitches involved with the game. I would also eventually like to play multiplayer also. Thank you.

I have found limited success using virtualization programs for this game, however that was years ago...
What I ended up using was either... a) Bootcamp to switch OS back and forth (may not be feasible/takes a while) b) Codeweaver's Crossover Neither was 'great', and had their quirks, but I managed to get by well enough with Crossover, and saw that one of their staff/advocates even reviewed it. YMMV though, and the last update he gave was in 2019 so... Front Office Football Eight - CrossOver Software Ratings | CodeWeavers With Crossover, you need to first install steam via Crossover, then install the steam version via there. A bit more involved than usual, but easy enough. |

i've played exclusively on mac for years now. tried almost everything. the best setup is parallels if you can pay, otherwise virtualbox+free windows virtual machine from microsoft website.
