Supposedly it's the #1 and #3 offensive lines in the NFL on PFF. They *might* look better against average lines in getting pressure (to bail out the meh secondary)

Sack #5 with a fumble recovery.

The Falcons defense may be for real! (or it's the Aints again).

EDIT: and Mariota has a good run but fumbles it right back to the Saints

We NYers should have better options than Jets and Giants.

Trey Lance will not be the Niners QB for long. He is not good. Neither is my fantasy team.

Burrow has turned it over 5 times and Cincy might still win the game.

Cincy blew it by not challenging that catch at the GL. Looked like a TD, camera angle showed ball on the GL.

Yeah, I was shocked they didn't challenge that. Looked like a TD to me live.

Uh oh. 26-24 and Saints will do 51 FG attempt to win it.

EDIT: 26-27. The Falcons sucked in 4Q. They failed a 63 FG attempt and was blocked with 2 seconds left

Absolute insanity 4 games at once. Red zone channel on steroids.

The Falcons once again blows a big lead in the fourth quarter. It doesn't matter if the change out the front office, coaching staff and all the players. It is like they just forget how to play football in the fourth quarter. The whole franchise is cursed.

It has to be hard to hit a goal post at 55 yards.

This is like the Packers game last year. Hopefully the Bengals can get the win the way the Packers did.

He had crazy distance on that kick. Had distance for at least 65

That PIT FG attempt looked like it changed direction three times and hits to the goal post. That was impressive.

There's a popular quarterback group game where they try and hit the goalpost with throws from various distances. Not that easy.

Looks like the poor backup long-snapper will get a shot at redemption.

Interesting opening day. Nothing like an NFL Sunday in the sports world.

This is going to be painful for Steelers. Watt looks legit hurt and Najee Harris may be. And it wouldn’t surprise me if Minkah gets suspended for the cheap shot on Higgins.

You know what you're not hearing in the Packers-Vikings game?

Joe Buck's voice.

And that's a good thing.

I don't know why the Bengals didn't tell their holder on the 3rd and 8 kick "If the snap isn't good, don't place it. FALL ON IT".

That's why you kick on third down, isn't it?

The Steelers had the bugfuck crazy end to the regular season too. Turn it into a selling point. "Get up to 16% EXTRA free football with purchase!"

Jameis pulled a Jameis today and ran up and spiked the ball even though the clock was stopped. Turns out that that’s Intentional Grounding by rule. I had no idea.

The Bengals also punted with 15 seconds left on the play clock on that last punt in OT. Would have been better just to take a delay of game and then punt. That gave Pitt extra time for the GW FG drive.

This is my first day in a long time just having a television on. I had forgotten how most commercials these days are shot using cell phones.

About 25-30 years ago (yes, it's been that long), I started muting commercials, because the trend was to play games with volume or emit loud, obnoxious sounds to get your attention. Now I do it automatically, or just watch sports with the volume off.

But you can't mute the picture until the commercials end. If I had to watch the current Honda commercial, for example, from beginning to end, I would actually vomit. I'm not making that up. I am among the 5-10% of people who can't wear VR gear or play games where the view moves. I remember going to my first E3 back in 2000 and talking with the designer of a popular first-person console shooter. He said he had to develop with the emulation screen the size of a postage stamp, because he'd be tossing his cookies within minutes otherwise.

I wish this cell-phone commercial trend would end. It seems to be much worse this year. I should see if I can rig something up with picture-in-picture, but the television in my office is rather low-end.

That was a bad look for the Titans yikes. Up 13-0 at home. Congrats to the Giants. I think the Titans are going 6-11 this year. Really tough schedule and trading Brown was a mistake.

Got caught up on the Steelers Bengals game......what the fuck was that awful mess? Steelers had no business winning that. They did everything they could to give it away and then some.

Yeah they are fakes. I missed the first quarter due to the Pit/cin game running over, and it was pretty much over by then.

We'll see if Tampa Bay can adjust to the pressure Dallas has been getting, especially on third downs and with the injury to the LT. I thought the play-calling was extraordinarily bad in the red zone.

Sometime this year, the Lions will start their obligatory comeback before it's too late.

It's going to happen once.
