Nice work by BrotherWolf. We're in awfully good shape at this point in the game.

I'm going to be offline most of the day tomorrow, but someone should be able to make hay with the vote stuff so far.

We also have PF leaning towards good (only if the real duke wasn't on after his reveal and we'll find out for certain tomorrow if he is not duked to).

mckerney looks decent for his JAG vote at this point, can't see there being two wolves on JAG. Unless there is a different way to read that (when we see the actual vote history and not just final count)

Thomkal, Darth and DT may need to be looked into a bit based on day one (but vote history may show that a little better).

There is also Telle who seems in the middle of a couple bad runs.

I'm sure there is more bt I am exhausted. Good night all.

And my humblest apologies for the writeups not being very prompt. Am trying to make them as fun as possible, yet have to make sure all the votes and formatting and stuff are right. Still learning this stuff. I'm having a lot of fun and I hope you are too.

...and my mailbox is now full again...:P

Alright - good result overall, and clears up the enigma that is Lathum for us.

I'm still intrigued by Autumn but I'm encouraged that Bug didn't move his vote to try and save him. That's a sign that we had two villagers up on the block today I think.

DV is doing his drive by vote thing again. That gets me suspicious every time. Might put an early vote on him tomorrow unless something obvious presents itself.

Just got in. Glad to see you guys managed not to kill me, even if you killed another vanilla villager instead. And I'm very impressed with Father Wolf. I think I see what he did there.

I'm guessing given how the voting went, they killed Lathum to try to make me look bad. The village was fixated on my back and forth with Lathum. Maybe they saw a role hint, but I certainly didn't see one there.

Head hurts, tired, I'll figure out where to go from here tomorrow.

My own interpretation was that Lathum and you were the lovers, squabbling to convince the wolves to keep you around. Dunno what to think now really.

I realise that I should probably be receiving some heat for being opposed to people voting MrBug. I still maintain that it's a valid (I might even say correct) villager position despite it being, you know, wrong and all.

I've got nothing to say about Packer's reveal. I think we can take it on face value if everyone else has been on since it was made. I'll note Packer as (a different shade of) blue in my vote rundown.

Forgot to paleblue Packer's vote on Day Two but hey-ho. And Eaglefan's post numbering I copied is a bit wrong.

Anyway, having gone through the day's events I'm kind of thinking we're villager/villager again. Bumping off Lathum achieves a few things and one of those is making Autumn look suspicious.

Case for lynching Autumn:
1) The move at the end of the day looks like an attempt to save him
2) We get more information if it turns out it was villager/wolf
3) Lathum (a known villager) was suspicious of him
4) Voting JAG and the whole bit about being suspicious of him could be interpreted as a way to leverage a scan of JAG.
5) Was pushing early that Packer was bad but also had his vote on J23
6) May have suspected that Lathum was a seer who had scanned him as a wolf and that's why he was killed.

Case for Autumn
1) Killing Lathum under any other circumstances is a bad wolf move if Autumn is a wolf. Looks like an attempt to set him up.
2) In response to six above I don't think Autumn would under-estimate Lathum's ability as a seer that much. I don't a wolf Autumn would consider Lathum's play as suggesting he's a seer.
3) He did vote JAG day one with the risk of starting a runaway. Would two wolves both put their votes on a cunning? Ok I think it did happen in one game but it seems pretty unlikely.
4) I don't think the wolves are going to switch votes so blantently at the end to save Autumn if he is a wolf. We were ready to vote out Packer yesterday because it could be argued that the wolves saved him. Do we do the same thing again today? And if the wolves were trying to save him then why not use the hypno power again. Ok it would be the last shot at using it but seems like a better play than linking your name to a suspected wolf by switching onto his main rival.

Anyway, my instinct is that Autumn is being set up. My instincts are normally wrong nowadays but what else am I going to do. I'm interested in looking at the people who don't have any significant voting moves during both run offs. If my assumption that we were villager/villager both times is correct, then I think they're the most interesting candidates.

Bhlloy, Jackal, Narcizo, dwardzala, Hoopsguy, Darth Vilus.

I believe at least three of these names have valid reasons why they aren't around a couple of hours before deadline (myself included) but that shouldn't give any of them a free pass (myself included).

Morning, Narcizo. Figured I would get one response in to the above stuff before heading out for the day.

I was around for both deadlines and was comfortable where my votes were at with the information that was available at the time. I think my feelings about PackerFanatic throughout the game have been pretty well documented in the thread - I thought there was a better than average chance he was a wolf on day one so stayed there. Yesterday, I thought Autumn was a villager and disliked the run on him late (especially with him not around to defend himself) so I left my vote on the candidate who had the best chance of beating Autumn despite not having any particularly great read on him.

I'll be back in the thread sometime in the final two hours today, maybe sooner if something unexpected happens with my client. I'm hopeful this will be the last day that I'm significantly hampered in terms of participation.

You're doing great CF! Love the writeups, especially the one with Kaa disguised as the dead jackal character. Don't worry about the delays even if it drives us crazy while waiting for it It's worth the wait.

Yay for Father Wolf! Losing Lathum is a big blow of course, but taking out one of theirs in return softens it a bit. And it may have helped us with Autumn given what we know of Mr Bug (bug bad wolf!) now. Surely he would have moved to save Autumn at some point, especially since three of us moved late to Mauboy. My late switch to Mauboy was for two reasons-to consolidate the candidates like EagleFan kept barking about, and I didn't like his late vote switch to autumn when I announced I was considering a move to make it a tie if people were interested in a tie. I certainly understand moving his vote to save himself, but my move hadn't been made yet when he did, and might not have been made at all. I would have waited till a move to tie it up was made so it would have looked like a legitimate reason and time to move.

It just seemed a bit desperate at the time, and wondered if he had something to hide. And to be honest I don't like it when I'm a villager and someone tries to make me look suspicious. He voted for me earlier in the day, so I had to wonder if he was a wolf trying to get traction on me. I'm just sensitive that way I guess.

Dwardzala – Not much to go on post-wise. Put in a self-defence vote after I put my vote on him which seems a bit weird. If you count his vote on Packer he has had three votes on known/almost certain villagers. Although I don’t think, in this case, that that is nearly as damning as it might otherwise be. If we have had villager/villager both times then you’d expect most votes to be on villagers.

Darth Vilus – Even less to go on, even if his post count is more. Votes Unknown/Likely Villager. Otherwise his posts are pretty much exclusively padding.

Bhlloy – Votes Likely Villager/Unknown. Day one wants to vote quiet people and quotes something I say at about the same time as JAG does (#102-103) Had the posts been further apart I’d read that as being pretty villagy (unlikely that two wolves would post pretty similar sentiments so early) but with just one minute between the posts I think it’s pretty neutral.
Had that argument with EF about why his vote went on him but I didn’t really get a wolfy vibe off of that. Really don’t like the statement that ”If Mauboy turns up good, we’ve definitely got some movement to save Autumn. So that’s something to consider tomorrow”. (#617) ”Definitely”? That kind of statement sounds pretty wolfy to me. Pulls back a bit by pointing out that MrBug didn’t switch to save Autumn (which I forgot to add to my rundown of Autumn) so I tend to think it’s was just a poorly phrased comment.

Jackal I was really surprised to see that Jackal had more posts than bhlloy. Votes Likely Villager/Unknown. Decent explanation for his day one vote given at the time (#149-151). Bit of interaction with DT about why he put his vote on him and him not being opposed to an Autumn vote (#526-533). I find it difficult to read when he’s obviously having difficulty using his phone but nothing strikes me as overly wolfy

Hoops Joins Dwardzala in having voted villager twice and had a vote on Packer before his reveal. Packer day one vote based on him not having played with the other two current vote getters. Asks people to lay off a possible run on Gonzo. Second day Hoops agrees with Autumn that the hypno-switch is likely a move to save Packer (#359). Argues that we should be giving JAG voters a pass for a day or two. (#438 – not damning to me as I agree with him). Then hoops votes mau because he doesn’t like the DT train (#491).

Narcizo God! I can’t be bothered ploughing through all the crap I’ve come up with again. Basically I came off as thinking that Packer was a villager but started gravitating to thinking we should vote for him anyway but didn’t put my vote there. Left my vote in a place that was pretty useless on day two and voted likely villager day one. Got a bee in my bonnet about targeting quiet players. Didn’t think we should be examining people who voted JAG day one. That’s about it really.

Of the lot I'm not liking dwardzala, Darth Vilus or Hoops. I know that we're going to see more action from Hoops and he's a likely scan target.

Vote Darth Vilus

He's posted some but it almost reads as though he's intentionally avoiding saying anything. I get that his schedule is against him but I can't help that.

Hoops, I know you won't be around till late, so I'm not going to vote for you (if I decide that's the way I want to go), but I find my suspicions of you growing mainly because of a response you made to something Autumn said yesterday, then the action you took after that. I haven't figured out how to multiquote, so this is a cut and paste of what Autumn said-someone can go back and make sure its legit if they want.

Autumn said:

"It seems people are fairly set on looking at the results as "wolves forced a tie." But I'm not sure we can assume that at all. I think it's just as valid to look at it as "wolves trying to prevent a PF lynch." We have no idea when the order was sent in. It may have been early enough before deadline that they were worried about a lynch. It turns out to be a tie, which screws them, but then they get to sit back and sigh in relief as the village makes false assumptions, particularly if they're ones that clear PF.

I'm not going to vote PF, for reasons stated earlier, but I sure hope we get a scan of him."

You replied shortly thereafter with:

"We are 100% on the same page here."

So then what did you do about two hours later? You voted for PackerFanatic anyway despite being 100% with Autumn on not voting for him. I am the most suspicious of the four people, well now three (Dwardzala, Hoops, and Darth) who were on Packer before his duke reveal. I was obviously wrong about Mauboy here, but I think the odds of a wolf being on Packer before the reveal is good, especially as it seems more and more like he's the duke and not a wolf and thus PF was a good candidate for wolf votes before the reveal.

So when your back, I'd like to hear a reason why you voted for PF after agreeing with Autumn that you wouldn't please.

I think I can answer that one. Autumn doesn't say anything about not voting for Packer. Autumn is solely hypothesizing that the vote-switch was to save Packer, not to tie things up. I would imagine that this is what Hoops is saying he is in 100% agreement with.

But Autumn does indeed say something about not voting for Packer, as in "I'm not going to vote for PF, for reasons stated earlier..."

Apologies for not being on at deadline last night - we had a major snowstorm (lame, I know) around these parts and I was without power for about 3 and a half hours. Thankfully we got it back before it got too cold!

Still trying to catch up a bit, seems like a pretty good result for the night - we got another wolf and I still have my duke power if need be

For some reason I thought Lathum was Father Wolf, but now I see that he was just a vanilla villager and that Father Wolf just had an awesome kill. Fantastic!

I've looked at the quote about ten times now and I can't see it. He says it in other posts but Hoops hasn't said he's 100% in agreement with those posts. He said he is 100% on the same page about the switch being an attempt to save Packer. Well, that's my interpretation anyway - I'll leave it there and let Hoops cover this then.

I'm going to be soooo pissed off if Hoops is a wolf and I've been drawn into "defending" him.

Being out for so long I'm having a hard time integrating all the posts last night into new suspicions. But since I know it was villager-villager at the end, I think I'm going to renew my vote on DT. I don't have anything more than gut, but the fact that we had a few votes on him and instead two villagers ended up with the heat doesn't make him look any better in my mind.

VOTE DADDY TORGO

I think the wolves went after Lathum because they thought he was the seer. With his stance on Autumn the only reason they would feel he was the seer is if Autumn is a wolf.

dola: they would have to leave Autumn hung out there at that point, either that or risk another one being found. Which could mean that they thought he was onto another. With the cunning already out of the way there is no upside for them allowing him to get another scan in.

I don't know. I think that the wolves killed Lathum to set up Autumn. That combined with his apparently being saved (yeah, by me.. I know) makes him look very suspicious.. and so we waste a day killing another villager.

It may have been early enough before deadline that they were worried about a lynch. It turns out to be a tie, which screws them, but then they get to sit back and sigh in relief as the village makes false assumptions, particularly if they're ones that clear PF.

I'm not going to vote PF, for reasons stated earlier, but I sure hope we get a scan of him.

okay I'm an idiot can't even multiquote with directions. Here's the post that just a short time later Hoops said he was in 100% agreement with. I interpret this to mean he agrees 100% with the entire statement-including that very last sentence. You interpret that it means 100% agreement on everything but that last sentence. So let's just see what Hoops has to say. And even if you have the right interpretation-I still question why he would vote for him if he agrees with the first part of Autumn's statement here. And it doesnt change the fact that he was one of the four on Packer before his reveal.

While I am not sold on Autumn being a wolf, it is the perfect defense if he is a wolf. Normally it would not make sense to do that as a wolf which makes it a perfectly reasonable play for a good wolf. Just like it didn't make sense to throw an early vote on Jag when he was the cunning but Mr. Bug, a wolf, did it.

This is not a lets all vote Autumn post but it is something to think about.

I can see both sides of the discussion Telle and EagleFan are having here. Lathum called fairly early on for a scan of Autumn, then voted him the next day with the second post of the day for him. I too wondered if he was the seer who had got a wolf view on Autumn and just used his "calling" for a view to hide the fact that he was the seer and was going to scan Autumn. Hence my post yesterday asking if we were really going to vote out the person most responsible for getting people to vote for JAG on day 1, which then led to his departure due to the tiebreaker.

I can see the wolves using this to set up Autumn-who's always a great ally when he's a villager type and I can see them thinking that Lathum was the seer because he was fixiated on Autumn was really is one of the wolves. I hope by now that the real seer has a scan in on Autumn and will come forward at some point today if Autumn is a wolf.

I would rather the seer not come forward yet today. We can try to sort out the Autumn situation ourselves. Let the seer remain silent for another day to get two more scans in (tonight and then tomoorow when guarded). This way we get to build a CoT or find a wolf.

As for Autumn. Because of the wolves losing their cunning I would rather we get the final answer to Autumn/Lathum. They lost the cunning and Lathum is making statements like that. If he hit on a wolf they would absolutely HAVE to kill him last night. The only reason for them to believe he is the seer is if he is correct about Autumn. If not they would have gained more by letting him live because we would then waste two more days trying to figure out if one of them is a wolf.

At this point I saw we find out the answer about Autumn and then turn our attention towards Telle... a good choice for a scan (if the seer is listening).

The wolves are going to be desperate at this point, after losing two in two days, including the cunning.

I just don't know. I think Lathum's rantings against Autumn would have been a bit too obvious if he had actually been the seer. So I'm not completely buying the argument that they night killed him because they thought he was the seer. It's plausible.. but not the most likely scenario in my book.

And why me next?

The main thing Autumn has going for him is that Bug didn't feel the need to switch off his throwaway vote to protect him last night. Unless he knows that he has DT's switch in his back pocket... in which case we've identified two more wolves. But that sounds too good to be true.

I feel a lot better about Autumn than i did yesterday TBH. There's no way that Lathum is that vocal if he's the seer and Autumn is a good enough player to know that. I think it's much more likely that Lathum was killed to set Autumn up than it is that Autumn killed Lathum because he was scared that he had seer scanned him. Hopefully we have a seer scan on Autumn to make sure, but I think we should look elsewhere today.

I think this Lathum/Me thing is being blown way out of proportion, which is likely how the wolves like it. Lathum voted me. He said he was suspicious of me. Yes. We joked back and forth a few times. Yes.

He's not the only person who's thrown out suspicions. Given the way that I was "saved" on the vote yesterday, Lathum was a good night kill choice. It makes me look more suspicious, if you think I'm bad enough of a wolf to do such a blatant move. And it gets rid of a very good villager. I don't think we need to dig much deeper than that for reasons.

Convenient that EF wants to ignore other candidates and "take care" of this situation, which would involve a runaway vote on a villager. Who's desperate?

Not convenient at all. Don't want it to be a runaway though. Hell, I will even volunteer to be the second candidate if you want. Though I wouldn't mind a third candidate as well. How about Autumn/me/J23?

I bet you will get at least one wolf with that group. I'll bet the house that it's not me.

Not much discussion going on so far today, so let me put in a vote. I've been working on the theory that at least one bad guy was on Packer before he revealed, so I should put my money....er vote where my mouth is.

have to post really quick (again) tomorrow will be better though. I was thinking either Autumn or DT as the next lynch choice. Autumn's play has seemed rally weird, it looked like he was trying to get JAG scanned in the beginning for example. Dont have anything concrete on DT, his votes just don't look right when you see the final vote counts. I'll be out the rest of the day but i''ll have alot more time tomorrow

vote autumn

I have more to go on with him than DT

Going to have to go soon. I normally have some sort of idea of what to think by this stage but I just don't have a clue. Admittedly when I used to think I knew who a wolf was I was normally disastrously wrong so maybe this is an improvement. I don't like not having any read on anyone - I want my old self back, dammit!

As I've been looking at DV, Dwaldzala or Hoops as a wolf I'm happy to shift my vote off of DV onto Dwaldzala at this stage to make it two votes on one of them rather than one on two of them.

Unvote Darth Vilus
Vote Dwaldzala

May be back in an hour but probably gone until deadline. Sorry about that.

I'm busy wondering what you guys are thinking. I wish I was a wolf this game, so I could lead you around by the nose so easily.

I'll be out for a while. No reason to move my vote really. DT seems as fair a shot as dwardzala, and I don't have anything better.

I don't like Autumn for today. I just don't see any wolf signs in what went down yesterday.

I think DT and dward are two decent candidates, I'm going to go for the quieter of the two.

Morning has broken. Everyone is feelin' grooooovy and is in a good wolfhippie mood.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0TInLOJuUM

And soon they go for a hunt. But alas, the hunt does not go well. All that you manage to catch are some scrawny little freaky-looking birds with long eyelashes. And you gag on the eyelashes as they go down. The local wildlife seems to be staying away from you what with a tiger about.

ptaki-56 (400x267).jpg

Hungry, you all go back to the rock. There are two more grave with two more tails sticking out.
Akela addresses the pack, "Now I know there have been trepidations about returning to council what with the Big Bad Wolf--"
"Bug!"
big-bad-wolf.jpg
"Sorry, the BUG Bad Wolf in our midst. I feel as guilty as anyone. I should have found it strange that he was the only one who wore clothes and stood upright. Ah, well. Hindsight is 20/20 and all that."
"Now I would like everyone to pay their respects to our two departed comrades, Lathum and (burp) mauboy. They were (burp) wonderful. What are you looking at me like that for? Go on eat your eyelashes and say some nice words about Lathum and mauboy. (hic!)"
