I spent about 10 minutes in tears after watching this and seeing the way he touched the lives of those he worked with. I never met the man, but feel like I knew him. Talented sportscaster and even more important, it is clear he was a good man and devoted father.

RIP Stuart

Definitely was a great dude, I don't recall FOFC being fairly kind to him over the years...but fuck it, let's admit it, he too, was a cool as the other side of the pillow. RIP Stuart Scott.

It was rough watching ESPN this morning. You could tell Berman had been crying pretty heavily and Keyshawn couldn't speak without cracking, it was definitely tough.

Ed Lerner was having a rough go to. It's definitely a quiet and humble day today for me.

And Fuck Cancer...

Rich Eisen's tribute was pretty rough to get through as well.

I never rated him as much more than a catch phrase machine, but it's clear the impact he had on those around him. Very sad.

He and Kolber made ESPN2 so awesome when it launched. Like most I didn't care for his work later on, but so what. 49 Is way too young and he handled the whole ordeal above and beyond what you'd expect from most in that situation.

As someone not old enough to remember watching an ESPN in which Stuart Scott was not the most famous and most imitated voice on the network, it was easy to forget how much he changed things.

After seeing all the tributes and retrospectives, it was hard to not be emotional, not only because of how young he was and how universally liked he was by his colleagues, but from realizing how well he communicated the sheer joy and passion of sports to an entire generation. RIP.

It's jarring to me now thinking just how much Stu was there during my childhood/adolescence/teenhood. My mom would always turn SportsCenter on for me in the morning to help get my sleepy ass up for school. I would have it on while I ate breakfast and read the paper. Then I'd get home that night, hopefully do some homework, watch whatever games were on, and then turn SC on when I laid down. For many of my formative years, his voice was the first one I heard when I woke up, and the last one I heard when I fell asleep.

That's strange to think about, but makes me sad . RIP, Mr. Stu Scott

I really didn't have ESPN while he was in his heyday but you can clearly see he was well loved and a good guy. Sucks that it happened.

Watch the E:60 on Ernie Johnson if you get a chance. He's an incredibly guy.
