Bullinas Honored by FOOLX Hall of Fame
Friday, October 28th, 2022: Enshrinement beckoned for José Bullinas, as he was inducted into the FOOL-X Hall of Fame today. Bullinas, who played many of his 2855 games at right fielder, was an outstanding hitter and batted .319 over his career and swatted 374 home runs. Baseball's newest legend collected 1713 RBIs and scored 1867 runs during his illustrious career.

But while he was class act on the field, it was off the field where José Bullinas shined the most. He quietly integrated himself in his team's community, selflessly donating his time and money to various causes. The press was largely unaware of his charity and Bullinas never made a fuss about it.

"I played a child's game for many years and this game brought me fame and fortune," Bullinas explained during his ceremony. "For some people, it's enough, but my mother raised me to realize that money doesn't make a person great. Being good at a game doesn't make a person great. Helping those in need and giving of yourself selflessly is what makes a person great. And that's what I have tried to be my entire life: great, both on the field and off of the field."

We want to thank Michael Dillon for all that he's done for the Maricopa franchise, however, at this time we need to give us some payroll flexibility and he will be heading to free agency!

I'm pretty sure he's just drowning in all that cash I paid him. He'll get over it.

Can we just fast forward about 2-3 years

I had a real nice draft (4 1st round picks)... I love seeing all of the 4-5 blue stars in my minors now

So maybe it is just me, but the Republic League is head and shoulders better than the Continental League right now.

The 7th best Republic league team may or may not be better than a Continental league playoff team this season!

Good timing on my part for a rebuild. I may lose 130 games this year!

I don't see an A for Spring. Is everyone else really that bad? Am I a horrible judge of talent in FOOL-X?

You might have less relief pitchers than I am looking for, or maybe your relief pitchers are labeled as Starting pitchers. I have to use some guessing to what roles people will be using.

Boo, my work security network is blocking the preview.

It's tough for me to say if a C grade is right for Havana. Despite the loss of Salas (who may even be back; why on Earth ain't the rest o'y'all signed him yet?), my offense should still be very good, with Diaz, White, Coronado and Ruiz leading the way, and a host of solid depth elsewhere in the lineup in Maruyami, McCord, Frick and the SS I signed (I forget his name, but his nickname is "Fatboy", lol). The defense should also be solid everywhere and the pen is pretty deep in solid relievers (although maybe lacking in truly elite rally stoppers).

My main issue is starting pitching. Santos and Vega both pitched below their ability last season, IMO. Jimenez continues to pitch above his ability, and I am always worried he'll just crash at some point. Roussel's ratings seem to be falling every sim; I'm not sure if I should go with him (his Movement is still pretty good) or throw in one of a number of mediocre options. And Luis Garcia sucked last season as my #5. It's either him or reliever Cooper, who started and did well three seasons ago, but I just don't know if he really has the skill set to be a starter.

Glad to see many other teams in the RL seem to also be in flux. Might give me more hope of making a run.

BTW, Alan, if you're really looking at what we have and making guesses as to how we're going to do things, my apologies for all the different options I have at many spots--that probably makes it much more difficult to tell what way I'll go.

I think we really are THAT bad.

But I'd rather be the only A is a group of C's, D's, and F's that just one of the many A's.

Perhaps, I just moved Quance to MR after sim so he'll definitley strengthen the relief core.

I used to love trash talking the RL back years ago when I played in FOOL. As long as it is not personal attacks on people and is all in fun, then the more the merrier

Oh, I don't know, I haven't met a whole lot of RL teams that I've had a hard time getting past on my way to winning the whole thing when it comes to that.

Hey Alan, what was my championships record again? In here...or FOOL...either one will work. I just have a hard time remembering seeing as how the number is so great.

You're right though, I probably should have gone with:

Why stay in the CL? The better to take you down when it really counts.
