Tom Brady looks furious. I suspect the AFC is in for a serious ass-kicking next year. Anyway, congratulations again Broncos. I'll be pulling for you, or anybody but the Colts, the rest of the way.

Does the boast "More people watch the NFL on CBS than on any other network" really have anything to do with CBS? Isn't it the fact that the AFC is better than the NFC this year, had Indy going for an undefeated season, the Pats, etc.? I mean, for people without DirecTV, you're basically watching one or the other, so it just comes down to a choice between either watching the home team, or the best matchup. What does that have to do with what network it's on?

I hate marketing.

Flutie was putting in a plug with Plummer - "I'd love to be your backup next year!"

Even if you have DirecTV and Sunday Ticket, you're still watching either CBS or FOX games on Sunday afternoons.

Maybe he shouldn't have choked all game long and then he wouldn't need to be so upset now.

You cannot play better defense against this team and this QB than that. What an incredible defensive effort. Simply amazing.

Congrats to the Pats on a great run. (one that has not yet ended, only delayed)

Go Pittsburgh!!!!

I'm dissapointed too, but I can't see that call as an excuse. It certainly changed the complexion of the game, but Denver deserved to win it because they took advantage of their opportunities.

True. I'm still not sure who's choosing what game to watch based on the network. And I'd have a hard time believing that CBS' pre-game show is #1. I've always viewed them like Dan Rather - a distant third.

Brady choked and the Pats choked. Every one of them. The refs are a non-issue.

The pass interference call

a) wasn't *that* bad a call and

b) isn't the reason the Pats lost.

Pretty sure Costas and Collinsworth both picked Denver. The 'experts' on ESPN have been split pretty much all week. I don't watch the pregame shows that closely, but I am pretty sure you are wrong there too.

I wouldn't say choked, I think that's harsh. How about, failed to rise to the occasion?

And you missed Adam V., btw. How long until a fire BB website goes up?

the interference call was that he quit looking back at the ball then ran into the receiver and ran across him ...if he keeps looking at the ball its a no-call

No they choked. I don't know of a better word. Brady missed two open guys for a TD on top of the INT to Bailey. The fumbles, Browns punt screw up.

The defense came to play and the offense stunk it up.

The Pats made some real bad turnovers, and Denver made plays to turn them into points. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who should have won.

Honestly, yeah, Brady had his worst important Patriot game I've seen. I guess he is human after all. What's crazy is who made the mistakes. The odds on Troy Brown fumbling a punt return would have been astonomical.

tough to blame the defense in this one. excepting the turnovers and horrible field position, they held Denver well. It was the offense that couldn't do anything, and more than that, couldn't take care of the goddamm football.

i predict Brady comes out and takes the whole loss on himself like a man

I understand that, but it did change the game at the time and I hate bad calls, just hate them. I don't care who I'm cheering for, who I'm cheering against, a bad call is a bad call.

I'm not saying Denver didn't deserve the win. When you keep NE out of the end zone for 3 1/2 quarters, confuse/confound Brady, and consistently drill him in the chest all game long, you did something right and deserve the football game.

I will go back to what I wrote before this game: The Denver pass defense isn't nearly as bad as the numbers indicate. They give up yardage and a big play or two. But they force mistakes, they hit the QB, and they are tough to beat consistently.

Coyer put together one hell of a game plan tonight.

Denver made 1 yard runs to turn them into points . Denver didn't do much on either side of the ball all day. Course now I'm sounding like a bitter fan of a team the Pats beat the last few years .

So even at the end of the game, which Denver WON......All Simms can say is the Patriots showed the heart and character of a champion? What about the team that won the game? Did they only show the heart of a Wild-Card team? The media should all just line up to fellate Tom Brady and be done with it.

You have to at least admit that Denver took the opportunities and turned them into points. Turnovers are always the story and unfortunately the Pats are on the losing side this time.

Like I said, the turnovers put them at the 1. Pretty automatic for any team. I guess you can give them credit for that.

Have you seen the amount of away games the Pats have played against Denver during the regular season? It's ridiculous. This has nothing to do with this game, but overall, it's crazy.

Well, don't worry about that. Denver has to come to New England next year. (NFL's already released the home-away splits for next year with dates TBA later)

well, they got us used to comebacks and big wins but they can't win every year. Thanks Pats, I'm disappointed, but nobody can take away the three other SB wins...

Now, who to cheer for? Hrm, hate Pittsburgh, but seeing them knock Peyton off his socks would be fun

I can't believe that after your team has won, you'd trot that out there. The receiver ran into the DB...The DB was IN position. No crossing over...wasn't even close. Not to mention that it's hard to look back when the receiver is pulling and pushing on your shoulder making it difficult to maintain your balance.

I'm not gonna talk about the two questionable calls anymore. We sucked otherwise, so didn't deserve to win.. nothing you can do to change it, but maybe come back next year with a vengeance

Right there guys, exactly why I've hated the Patriots fans. that attitude. Manning is a great QB. a sensational QB. Who just happened to run into the Patriots defense and struggled to get by it. As if Brady would have been able to figure out Beli and Manning wouldn't have torched those Colts defenses.

If Plummer or Manning had made that Brady throw on the five tonight, Pats fans would be screaming about how much better their guy was. It wasn't Plummer or Manning this time. It was Brady on the road against a great defense struggling to put his team in the end zone and making the critical mistake.

Manning being Manning will probably beat Denver next week. And he probably would have beat NE as well. Because this year the TEAM happens to be better around him. It doesn't mean Manning is better and it doesn't mean Brady sucks. It just means the Colts are the best team in football this year. Nothing more, nothing less.

The Manning hatred by NE fans is just idiotic and i've never figured out what causes it. (other than them trying to show how great Tom Brady is, which is something they don't need to do anyway)

who hates manning? and it has nothing to do with being a pats fan either. that has no bearing on it. i don't hate manning. i simply have yet to see him perform under pressure. that doesn't equal hatred of him. brady OTOH has performed under pressure up until now.

they are both excellent QB's. personally I'd rather have Brady on my team until Manning shows that he can win under pressure as often as Brady.

it has NOTHING to do with being a Pats fan, and it does not = hatred of Manning. To think so is simply ignorant.

In fact I like Manning. Keep him on the Colts please, since Beli has his #.
