Yeah, you could take Lilly but where's the risk? He's a Cubs pitcher. Don't you want excitement on your fantasy team?

Another good upside pick on Furcal. If he's healthy he'll be great.

I don't really see much more out there for C. I love all the articles that talk about avoiding C/SS/2B/RP, etc. That's great but you can't just punt all categories

I think we have quite a few people trying to time things- a lot of "I know player X will give me 6th round performance but I'll wait until 10 because no one will want him until at least 12". We have an awful lot of people doing that and it will be interesting to see how that collides in the next few rounds. We already had a couple this past round (everyone knows Votto and Davis were "sleepers" with high projections from quite a few people this year) where I think people were trying to time the fall.

Sometimes, it's good enough to just get that steady production (not speaking specifically to Doumit). Wieters has some absolutely sick projections out there but he's still on track to start the season in AAA and even if he comes up in May, adjusting to the majors isn't a sure bet for any "can't miss" prospect.

There's going to be a lot of scrapping the next 5~7 rounds for everyone's "sleepers"

No, I actually like Zack for this year tho I was hoping he might last another round or two (at least until my next pick- I would have considered him). I was just giving you crap for taking so long.

True story. I interviewed him his first day in the minors for a local radio station. All the other players hated me for it. Guess something about me talking to a million dollar bonus baby who had yet to pitch while they were all playing everyday for minimum wage rubbed them the wrong way.

9.1. 1B/2B Jose Lopez

Oh sure, my Royals are dropping like flies. Well, there's always Willie Bloomquist or Ross Gload!

heh, not trying to pick on you LWSFS, but that's pretty funny timing for using a line like that when you're trying to pick a guy taken 4 rounds ago. Hope you find another guy you feel as good about for your replacement pick.

FYI- a reminder about Yahoo and why I keep it updated. If you check out the "players" tab, the taken players have been taken out of the "Available Players" pool.

However, if you search for them using "Available Players" - they will still show up. Also, you can't view your team unfortunately, until the draft is complete. Limitations of the site, unfortunately.

You can view your team and other rosters while the draft is still active by going to Draft Central ---> Draft Results ---> View by Team

Wow I'm really glad I picked A-Rod in the first round. He has a cyst on his hip and may miss the WBC. Who knows, he may miss part of the regular season, too. Great.

As much as I don't like that I just took my second WBC pitcher, he seems like a bargain here given what's on the board.

9.6 SP Javier Vazquez, Atl

I know exactly what I wanted to see this and my next 2 picks so I know which 2 players will be off the board in the next 12

Vazquez is a good bargain at that pick. What do you mean by your last sentence?
