Wow, the Blues - Canucks game on Tuesday should be a dozzie. I hope the Blues regroup and remember what they looked like in the 1st and 2nd periods tonight. Pittiful, piss poor enthusiasm...

Here we go again Blues fans!?*$#@%

Good lord am I tired of the Oilers! Glad to see them in the rearview, but it's never an easy series.

That's what happens when you have so much history between the 2 teams. Kind of like when the old Stars played Chicago all the time in the playoffs in the old Norris division.

Now, it's Dallas-Anaheim, so now you can debate the series with Chief.

Dallas-Anaheim...

Guigere is hot, but Dallas has chased him twice this year and has an excellent history against him. Can his confidence of beating the Wings overshadow his history against the Stars? The Stars that will feature Guerin and Turgeon? Should be a great series, but totally different from Edmonton.

Well, I see nothing that changes my opinion of Dallas winning the Cup. The only other team I think that is Cup capable(and this is just my opinion folks!), is New Jersey.

Tonight the Philly-Toronto game should be a great game!

Would anyone watch a Lightning/Mighty Ducks Final? The NHL has got to be squirming at that thought.. I hope it happens..

Experience for one, and I'm not sure that Lalime is the guy to be able to take them all the way. Brodeur on the other hand is a guy that you can ride to the top.

I don't think Ottawa can get past NJ. I picked Dallas at the start of the season but NJ looks more solid than anyone. Plus the road through Boston, TB, and Ottawa will be easier than whoever comes out of the west.

I wish i could share your optimisim about a good game, but i am pretty sure that the Leafs blew their load in the triple OT game 4.

Now the Canucks on the other hand....have home ice advantage and have momentem on their side.

Wow- the playoffs have been great the past few years with tons of great matchups and OT games, but, wow, this year is just unreal. I hope it can keep up throughout.

Wild force Game 7 with a OT win tonight, they almost threw it away, but won in OT.

Philly-Toronto are now in the 2nd OT and it has been a great game!

I know I've been flipping between ESPN and ESPN2 ever since getting home about an hour ago and have been treated to overtime playoff hockey

I don't think we'll beat the Stars. As sachmo pointed out, they get Turgeon and Guerin back, and they went 3-1-1 against us this year. They chased Jiggy twice with seven total goals in two games, although it is odd that they must have then faced our backup goalie (Martin Gerber) in all five games they played with us.

I don't think we're the same team Dallas played in the regular season, but that doesn't mean I think we'll take four of seven from them. My bet is Stars in six.

Wow. Three game 7's. THREE. Go WILD! As for the others, who cares. If I was back in the states I think I'd finally be up for some hockey again (after a much needed post-Red Wings collapse break) and revel in Game Seven Madness (to the third power)!

That would be my guess too, but, this is a good building block for next year.

Plus, how odd would it be if it ended up Minnesota(if Minnesota gets past Colorado and their next opponent)-Anaheim for the Western Conference final? Would ESPN get any ratings?

Looking forward to all of the Game 7s tonight.

For all of the very knowledgable hockey fans out there, what is the record for most total OT periods played in 1 series. The Flyers and Leafs have played 7. Can anyone think of a series with more.

Tonight should be GREAT!!!!

Chief...

I'm still not sure how the series will play out. While we've had some great luck against Guigere, if the Ducks score first, they have been able to shut down and keep the other team at arms reach, taking the odd man rush when the get it. Wouldn't be ironic if the Ducks beat the Stars playing the same system that won us a cup?

For tonight, I will now cheer!

I can't remember a series with more, although there have been a couple of times in the last 20 years when games have gone into four or even five overtimes, so it's possible. The only series I can think of that's been like this one was the 1994 Devils/Rangers matchup, which I think had three double-OT games.

Yeah, Eddie did a classic implosion. He's my favorite goalie from his days back with the Hawks but he's also the most nuts and that's saying something. Goalies are a different breed to start with and he's the craziest of them all. Nothing like him offering two billion dollars to a cop when he caught him for drunk driving. Or the (likely) urban legend about him denting the Cup at a pool party.

They must be the guys that phone into the Toronto all sports radio every day saying the same thing.

I am a Leaf fan but i did'nt think they would have had enough to make the finals.

I DID however figure they would have gotten past the first round

Well it isn't because I hate the Leafs or anything, but they were so obnoxious about it, like it was foregone .

Could'nt have said it better myself...but i think they were just out of gas more than anything else.

You've gotta question Quenvilles decision to dress Mcinnis with Salvador already hurt. The Notes are thin on the blue line tonight.

The thing that really bugged me was, it seemed like the Leafs played the 3rd period without any heart. Your opinion?

I agree...but i have seen that before....being down in an elimination game by 4 goals is really a killer...how do you motivate for that?

Hmm...i think pulling him is even worse than leaving him in.Same deal as last year with Roy.....Avs lost game 7 7-0...but they left Roy in the whole game.It is a pride thing for goalies,If you pull him it is perceived that the loss is their fault.

Nuck's/Blues...

for some reason they havent showed any of the Av's/Wild series on TV here...

I guess they are kinda concentrating on the Canadian teams in the first round.

But from here on in we will have all the series on every night

which makes me very happy

Too bad bout Minnie...i hope they pull it off.
