That was un-freaking believable. The only run all day that beats his first run and it's his freaking victory lap. That guy is a freak.

What a run! Wow!

Again, Lago should have gotten Silver. The Fin got way too high of a score for a run that wasn't that clean or even that risky.

Why does this statement make me laugh?

"Ziggy Palfy is still almost scoring at will in the slovac league..."

Said after he missed on a breakaway; talking about how he retired a few years ago but is still playing.

Since he just "almost scored" does that mean he is "almost scoring" at will or almost "scoring at will"?

For some reason watching these games makes me really sad that EHM died a death. I think it's all the Euros who were so great in game but you could never get to come to North America.

Usually I'm not a huge fan of international hockey but so far this year it's really captured my imagination and I've watched pretty much every game. I think it's the NHL rink which has led to a slightly more physical style of play.

yeah, seriously. This must rank right up there as one of the most difficult and possibly insane tracks ever. 4 jumps, 2 right into turns, a ridiculous finishing jump that wasn´t changed one bit from the men´s track, multiple steep turns, a very "hard" surface with a ton of unsteady riding.
All that with 1 single practice ! That didn´t even go all the way down in one run (they went to a certain point, had a 3 hour break and then rode the last bit).
It wasn´t like it was bad riders falling or almost falling, there were legit Top10 riders (or even medal candidates) biting the snow.

Pärson seems to be fine, a million bruises aside. A romanian rider has ruptured her knee tendon though

Vonn/Mancuso were brilliant though, very impressive.

tonigh part 2 in the super combination (downhill + slalom), they are working on lowering the final jump at least.

- Germany put up a great fight against Sweden in Hockey, very good start. Heck, a little more luck and who knows ...

JiMGA- do you have some ratings break downs by sports? I'd be curious what is more and less popular to the general populace.

Also, last night was easily the best night of coverage for my bucks. They did a good job marketing as they had star power (Davis, Vonn, Ono, White) and almost everything was live, except the downhill. But no figure skating so I'm sure ratings are down, even tho they had everything else pretty much line up.

Ziggy Palffy is pretty good at almost scoring, so I think it's that he's "almost scoring" at will.

Narrow isn't really the word here. Granted, Mo T-B and had a fast time (on this ice), but Davis was the only one below 1:09. Although I was obviously rooting for Groothuis to win bronze, Shani Davis winning felt like all is right with the world. Now Shani Davis and Sven Kramer both have their gold medals now, they've been far and beyond the two best skaters in the world for a good number of years.

More high drama for Team USA curling. The men are going into extra ends again, this time against Denmark.

No kidding. This is their second heartbreaking extra end loss that they easily could have won.

Unfuckingbelieveable. Three straight devastating losses. USA are out of it, I need someone to root for the rest of the way, someone other than Canada or Britain.

Nice goal by Kessel puts USA 1-0 up early over Norway in men's hockey. edit: It might have already ended, there's no live up in the top corner logo.

I'm really enjoying watching Canada's matches, tho. Kevin Martin is a beast and the announcers are good.

You could always cheer for the pants-- err.. Norway.

lol, readig a story about what Shaun White's coach said yesterday. Claims that his language marred what could have been a good event.

Are you freaking kidding me? If hearing two "bad words" is enough to ruin an event you really shouldn't be watching sports of any kind, or going out in public for that matter.

Good grief I can't believe this is coming down to a shootout. God forbid Mike Green was on the team for powerplays like that one in the last couple minutes. Fuck.

Not sure what is more annoying, Crosby and his whining or Brodeur's bush league shaking of the glove tactic.

Hiller was unreal, but if I was a Canadian fan I'd be very concerned about the defense. Keith and Doughty don't look ready to be out there and are turning the puck over way too much. If Switzerland had some of the offensive players that Slovakia or Russia have, this game would have been a loss.

Didn't see the goals, why did Brodeur call the Swiss goal (2nd one I believe) a "lucky goal"?
