Lesser used personnel groups
Since the defensive game plan generator only selects one coverage for several personnel groups, would creating a playbook that focuses heavily on them make sense? At least against the AI, and I’d assume human coaches to an extent (given limited coverage slots in the game plan), it seems to make sense there would be opportunity by deviating from the norm. A pass heavy 131, run heavy 104, etc. I haven’t played with it but was curious if anyone has and how the results were.

From my experience, you’re likely to get familiars if you run a lot of 131, 104, etc. The only formations this game will let you run often are 113, 212, and 122.

Watch for players who run static defensive plans. Easy to exploit the oddball formations due to the single coverage. I personally only run a play once from oddball formations, need to be very careful with over usage in general.

problem is runnign the same play twice from any of those formations runs the risk of beign familiar or also if you even just run more than a handful fo plays from them per game.
