Clash of the Titans remake!
Just saw the trailer for it during the Olympics.
Holy cow! I loved the original as a kid. Last edited by Drake : 02-25-2010 at 08:50 PM. |

I loved this one when I was little, too. But I saw it a few years ago and it does not hold up well. It shouldn't be too hard to improve upon the claymation effects.
Some of the monsters in this and Salem's Lot used to scare the crap out of me when I was a kid, but upon seeing them as an adult... Wow! |

I thought the trailer looked really decent too. In general it gave the impression that they knew how to string together an action movie, which seems rare these days. I'm definitely going to give it a look when it comes out.

Does not hold up well is an understatement.

Please stop with the remakes! This + The Nightmare on Elm street remake pisses me off.

I don't know if there has ever been a remake that I've looked forward to as much as this one. The original movie is one of my all time favorites and actually helped me really get into this type of genre of movie even. I really hope the new one is great as I would love to have it on my all time best movie list.

I disagree somewhat. Watched it recently and thought most of the effects held up. Even Harry Hamlin was bearable. The underwater scenes, however, not so good.

Just remember....Good effect does not equal good movie. Avatar is proof of that.

Liam Neeson as Zeus, Ralph Fiennes as Hades... not bad. Should be a must-watch for me once it's out.

From what I understand it was kind of retro-fitted for 3D. I LOVED the original as a kid, watched it day after day...I don't know if I'll be able to watch this version.

My overwhelming fear of scorpions comes directly from this movie.
