I guess that's one way to win an election...

Redistrict her district so it includes about 7,000 inmates...who can't vote.

Busted: Florida GOPer hatches diabolical plan to redraw Dem’s district with black inmates who can’t vote

Makes me think of those maps I had as a kid which had little icons for different production for areas - textiles, coal, wheat, tobacco, etc. I'll have to find one to see if there are little prison icons in north FL.

Misleading headline. Adkins wasn't on the redistricting committee, nor is she Brown's opponent next year.

What Adkins did was air some dirty laundry when she didn't think anybody outside the room was going to find out about it, but she wasn't directly involved.

That said, there's definitely some jiggery-pokery going on. Adkins is saying that Brown didn't want an east-west district, and FL-GOP leadership is saying Brown absolutely WAS advocating for an east-west district, and moreover this is the district SCoFL mandated after the Democrats sued over the district boundaries the first time around and welp there it is can't be helped we weren't TRYING to disenfranchise anybody not our fault

So who knows?

It's not the jiggery that's so bad, it's the pokery.
