At the end of 1, we are up 28-15. Turner doing it all. I think he is going to get into the MVP discussion in the next year or two.

We did have a 23 point lead at one point in the half, but we got sloppy the last 3 minutes. Also, Duncan is in heavy foul trouble with 5. So, Speights will start the 2nd half.

At halftime, we lead 54-37. Turner with 11 points, 5 boards, and 8 assists at the half.

At the end of 3, we are up 83-59. Turner with a huge quarter.

I turn to the deep end of the bench for the last 6 minutes.

We win the game 101-76.

Turner is the player of the game with my first triple double in a played game! 29 points, 12 boards, 12 assists, and 2 turnovers. He shot 9 of 13, 2 of 4, and 9 of 11. Great game!

Young with 16 points, 7 boards, and 3 steals. He shot 6 of 9.

Mo Williams with 15 points, 3 assist, and 1 steal, and 2 turnovers. He shot 6 of 12.

Jefferson with 12 points and 9 boards. Speights with 12 points, 9 boards, and 1 block in 29 minutes.

Murphy with 7 points and 4 boards in 14 minutes. Fuller with 6 points, 4 boards, and 1 assist in 19 minutes.

Duncan with 4 points, 4 boards, and 2 blocks in 16 minutes before he fouled out.

We host the Suns. We win 94-90 but Speights hurts his hammy. He will play through it. Fuller might be our best pickup! 15 points to lead the team in just 10 minutes. He shot 3 of 4 from the arc and 5 of 7 overall! Kid has a nice shot!

Turner with 14 points, 5 boards, and 4 assists. He shot 4 of 12. Young with 15 points and 2 assists.

Speights with 12 points and 4 boards in 29 minutes. Duncan with 10 points, 11 boards, and 2 blocks in 30 minutes.

Mo Williams with 9 points, 9 assists, and 2 steals in 36 minutes.

Murphy with 7 points and 3 boards. Jefferson with 5 points and 9 boards in 31 minutes.

Cam Campbell with 36 points and 3 assists to lead the Suns. He shot 11 of 19.

Jan 26th -

We are now 33-11 and 10-0 in our last 10. The Raptors are 21-24. We play in Toronto today. The Raptors end our streak as they blow us out 121-99.

Bargnani had 33 points and Bayless had 20.

Speights led us with 24 points in 25 minutes. Turner with 16 points, 4 boards, and 4 assists.

Young with 15 points and 4 boards. Fuller with 14 points on 5 of 8 shooting in 13 minutes!

Duncan with 11 points an 7 boards. Williams with 11 points and 10 assists but he shot 4 of 15.

Jefferson fouled out in 17 minutes. He had 0 points, 3 boards, and a block.

Our next game is hosting a talented Memphis squad on the 28th.

Some unexpected players won Player of the Week:

Tyrus Thomas, Charlotte and Jonny Flynn, Minnesota.

Wow. We are playing the #3 seed in the West, but we are taking them to the wood shed. We lead 33-14 at the end of 1. Turner with an amazing quarter.

A quieter 2nd half as Turner tired. I rested him the final 4 minutes of the half. We lead 54-40. Turner with 16 points, 4 boards, and 7 assists.

At the end of 3, we are up 79-69. Their offense iss really heating up.

I rest Turner for 5 minutes and they tie it at 79. I bring back all of my starters.

Turner with a drive to draw the foul ends their run.

With Turner back in and Fuller out, our defense immediately toughens up again. We go on a 10-0 run led by Turner to end it.

We win the game 95-83.

Turner is the player of the game with 26 points, 8 boards, 13 assists, 4 steals, and 4 turnovers. He shot 9 of 19, 0 of 1, and 8 of 10.

Young with 18 points, 11 boards, 4 steals, and 1 block. He shot 7 of 19.

Mo Williams with 18 points, 5 assists, and 1 steal. He shot 4 of 7, 1 of 2, and 9 of 12.

Duncan with 10 points, 5 boards, and 1 block in 32 minutes.

Jefferson with 9 points, 10 boards, and 1 block in 36 minutes.

Murphy with 7 points and 2 boards in 13 minutes.

Fuller with 4 points, 7 boards, and a block in 20 minutes. Speights with 3 points and 5 boards in 17 minutes. His injury is slowing him.

Gay led them with 20 points. Mayo with 17 points, 7 boards, and 6 assists. Henry with 15 points. We held all 3 of them to under 40% shooting.

At the end of 1, we are up 27-19 over the Nets. Turner with 15 points as he has hit every shot he has taken.

At halftime, we are up 52-37. Turner with 20 points, 6 assists, 3 steals, and a block. He has shot 9 of 11.

At the end of 3, we are up 80-57. Turner is getting it done on both ends of the court.

We turn to the end of the bench with a 100-80 lead and 4 minutes to go.

We win the game 101-90.

Dwight Howard with a monster game of 48 points and 12 boards to lead the Magic over the Heat 126-112. I wish I could have pried him away.

Glen Davis broke a bone in his foot and will miss 6-8 weeks for the Celtics.

Turner's last game was a career high in points!

Feb 6th -

We play at the Nets. We beat them 86-69. Lopez with 22 points and 14 boards for them. Speights led us with 23 points and 6 noards in 31 minutes as he is finally healthy. Turner with 17 points, 8 boards, and 7 assists.

Williams with 14 points. Duncan with 10 points, 10 boards, and 2 blocks. Jefferson with 4 points, 9 boards, and 2 blocks.

We are now 36-14.

Feb 8th -

We play at Charlotte.

Before the game, The Bucks offer John Salmons and a 1st round pick for Speights. I'm tempted as that will likely be a high round pick and I'm not sure Speights is a good long term answer. However, I turn them down. Speights may not be a superstar center but he is a solid player and there aren't any quality centers in the draft.

Charlotte destroys us 114-81. Tyrus Thomas with 27 points and 13 boards. Jackson with 18 points. Wallace with 16, Williams with 14.

Turner shot 5 of 13 and finished with 15 points, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Williams with 15 points and 5 assists.

Speights with 12 points and 8 boards in 21 minutes before he fouled out. Duncan with 6 points and 7 boards in 30 minutes.

Jefferson with 0 points and 6 boards.

We play the next night hosting the Heat.

With 5:45 to go in the 1st, Jefferson fouls Wade hard. It looks like Wade is hurt. He will keep playing. We are down 14-11.

At the end of 1, we are down 30-27. Williams hit a big 3 at the buzzer.

Forgot they added Jason Kidd to this team. Ridiculous talent. No wonder they are 45-9.

We are up 51-48 at the half as Jefferson had a big quarter. Wish he would do that more often. He is our leading scorer with 12. Turner doing a bit of everything. Turner with 9 points and 7 assists. LeBron with 13 points and 7 boards.

I was up 74-60, but had to rest Turner, Duncan, and Jefferson for the last 3 minutes. They closed the quarter with a 8-0 run. 74-68. Turner has 5 fouls..

Turner turning it on late in the 4th. He hits a pair of 3's in a row including a buzzer beater from well beyond the arc. We lead 96-86 with 2:42 to go!

They close to 96-92 before Turner hits a floater in the lane.

LeBron hits a 3 to make it 98-97 with 24 seconds left. I get it to Turner who they foul. He makes both FT's. 100-97. 23 seconds left.

LeBron misses a quick 3 and Jefferson gets the board. Bosh fouls him and fouls out. Jefferson makes both FT's! (unusual for him.)

They miss another 3 and Jefferson gets the board again. He is fouled and makes 1 of 2.

We beat the Heat 103-97!

Jefferson is the player of the game. No one is getting traded. I need to remember patience for this young team. Jefferson with 27 points, 10 boards, and 3 blocks (including 1 monster block on Wade that started a fastbreak that led to a tremendous dunk by Fuller.) He shot 11 of 17.

Turner with 24 points, 4 boads, 8 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block. He shot 9 of 22.

Fuller with 12 points and 1 board in 16 minutes. He shot 5 of 7 including 2 of 3 from the arc.

Young with 12 points, 9 boards, and 3 assists. He shot 4 of 10.

Speights with 10 points and 7 boards in 21 minutes. I need to get him more PT.

Duncan with 8 points, 5 boards, and a block in 30 minutes. He shot 2 of 9.

Williams with 6 points, 4 boards, 8 assists, 1 steal, and 4 turnovers. He shot 2 of 4.

After the game, Durant and Howard were named players of the week.

That 27 points was a career high for Jefferson. If I could get him to shoot more, I think he'd be a really good scorer. I tell my coaches to try to get him the ball a bit more.

The Cavs offer Marvin Williams for Thaddeus Young. I turn them down although it was slightly tempting.

Feb 11th -

We host a 27-25 Rockets team. We beat them 101-97. Young with 21 points. Mo Williams with 20 points and 10 assists.

Murphy with 15 points and 9 boards. Turner with 13 points and 6 assists. He shot 6 of 10.

Duncan with 10 points, 4 boards, and 2 blocks. Speights with 8 points and 6 boards. He shot 2 of 10.

Jefferson with 4 points, 11 boards, and a block.

The Bulls offer Deng and a 1st round pick for Young and Jefferson. I'm still convinced Jefferson is going to become a star so I rest the instant offense boost that Deng would provide.

Holiday has been cleared to return. He is our clear starter despite Williams having a good run. Hopefully, we can keep Williams happy even after his minutes get cut..

Feb 12th -

We travel to Minnesota. They are 25-28.

We beat them 105-93. Very balanced scoring. Duncan with 15 points, 10 boards, and 1 block. Turner with 15 points, 5 boards, and 5 assists.

Holiday with 15 points and 5 assists. Speights with 13 points and 6 boards in 19 minutes.

Young with 11 points and 6 boards. Williams with 12 points and 6 assists in 28 minutes.

Murphy with 10 points and 6 boards in 22 minutes. Jefferson with 10 points, 10 boards, and a block in 27 minutes.

We are now 39-15. Our next game is at Memphis which is 37-18.

In other news:

Dirk with severe hamstring injury will miss 1-2 months.

Eric Maynor of the Thunder tore his ACL and is done for the year.

John Wall is out for 2-4 more weeks with a broken bone in his foot.

A look at the pure point rating which values low turnovers over assists:

1. Mike Conley, Memphis 12.8
2. Chris Paul, NO 10.2
3. Rondo, Boston 10.2
4. Nash, Detroit 10.1
5. Deron Williams, Utah 9.5
6. Kidd, Miami 9.3
7. Ty Lawson, Denver 8.4
8. Curry, GS 8.4
9. Lowry, Houston 8.2
10. Telfair, Atlanta 7.9

Holiday is 13th at 7.3

Turner is 19th at 4.8

Now, onto our next game which is at Memphis. They are 38-18 and are 8-2 in their last 10.

At the end of 1, we are up 31-27. Turner with 16 points.

At halftime, we are up 56-55. Turner with 26 points and 4 assists.

At the end of 3, we are up 74-71. Turner with 37 points. Great night shooting the 3.

CRUD! NO! Turner gets fouled hard with 8 minutes to go and he is hurt.. He had just scored 40 points. We lead 86-78.

Darn. Word is that Turner separated his shoulder. He's out for 2 to 4 weeks and will certainly miss the All-Star game next week. He is a lock to get his 1st selection but won't be able to play.

Jefferson, Duncan, Williams, and Holiday all make plays down the stretch to maintain our lead.

We win the game 103-96.

Turner is the player of the game: 40 points, 7 assists, 4 boards, 4 steals, and 1 block. He also had 3 turnovers. He shot 16 of 22, 7 of 11, and 1 of 4.

Jefferson with 14 points and 15 boards. He shot 6 of 15.

Duncan with 14 points, 6 boards, and a block.

Williams with 12 points, 7 assists, and 6 turnovers.

Muprhy with 7 points and 4 boards in just 14 minutes.

Young with 6 points, 8 boards, 2 assists, and 2 steals. He shot 1 of 9.

Holiday with 6 points, 4 boards, 6 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, and only 1 turnover.

Speights with 4 points, 1 board, and 1 block in 26 minutes.

Fuller with 3 assists in 11 minutes.

Some tough decisions to make with Turner's injury. I'm so bummed out that he will miss the All-Star game. I was hoping he might get his first MVP of the All-Star game. Even more disappointed that this likely eliminates his slim chances to win the season MVP award..

We will start Williams at PG and Holiday at SG. Everyone on the bench gets a bit more PT, especially Murphy and Speights. At least with the All-Star break, he won't miss as many games.

Feb 16th -

2nd night of our road trip ends up in Dallas. Last game before the All-Star break. The Mavs are 21-35 with a roster rating of only 72.

We lose anyway, 95-91. Jefferson dislocates a finger in the game and will be hurt for 2 weeks. He can play through it.

Rodrigue Beaubois lit us up for 40 points on 10 of 19 shooting. Butler with 17 points and 8 boards. Dirk is still hurt.

Duncan led us with 19 points and 5 boards as me telling my guys to look more for post players is paying off.

Speights with 14 points. Mo Williams with 14 points and 6 assists.

Young with 12 points, 5 boards, 4 assists, and 3 steals.

Meeks and Baylor each with 6 points.

Holiday with 6 points, 6 assists, and 6 steals. He also had 4 turnovers and only shot 2 of 8.

Jefferson with 4 points, 13 boards, and 2 blocks. Will he ever become a big time scorer? I don't know, but his rebounding and defense fills an important role.

The Nuggets offer C Marc Gasol and their 1st round pick for Holiday and Speights. I turn them down.

The All Stars are named. Monta Ellis and Derrick Rose are mad about being snubbed:

In the East:

Starters: Rondo, Turner!, LeBron, Josh Smith, and Dwight Howard.

Bench: Brandon Jennings (1st selection), Joe Johnson, Wesley Johnson (1st selection), Tyrus Thomas (1st), Brook Lopez, Gilbert Arenas, and Raymond Felton (1st)

In the West:

Starters: Chris Paul, Kobe (15th appearance!), Durant, Carmelo, and Bynum (2nd).

Bench: Russell Westbrook, Tyreke Evans, Rudy Gay (1st appearance), Donnie Hodges (young PF who I almost traded for - 1st appearance), Al Jefferson, Stephen Curry (1st), Deron Williams.

And we have a trade just before the Rookie-sophomore game:

The Magic trade:

C Marcin Gortat (6'11 240, rated 70 overall 29 years old) and a 2nd round pick to the Wizards for Trevor Booker (PF/C 6'7 240, 25 years old, with better potential.)

Booker is averaging 6.9 ppg and 7 rpg.

Gortat was averaging 4.2 ppg and 9.2 rpg. Both players were unhappy with their previous teams due to PT.

The Sophomores beat the Rookies 97-87.

Campbell led the Sophomores with 25 points and 7 assists. Andy Schultz (who I almost traded for) scored 23 points and had 10 boards. Hodges had 9 points and 12 boards.

Jason Stribling led the Rookies with 33 points and 4 boards. He shot 15 of 21. Mitchell Lawson had 15 points and 4 assists.

I'm not coaching the East this year in the All-Star game since the Heat and Phil Jackson have a better record, so I decide to sim the game. The East wins 114-97 behind 19 from Arenas, 18 from Rose (who replaced Turner), 17 from LeBron, and 16 from Howard.

In other news, just before the All-Star Break Nene' suffered a torn ACL and is done for the year.

Rudy Gay got hurt in the All-Star game and will miss 2-4 weeks.

The Trade Deadline is tomorrow. I resist the urge to make a move...

No other team made any trades either. However, the Magic decided to pull the trigger and fire Jerome Wagner. They hired Clarence Underwood.

Feb 23rd -

We host Orlando. They are 21-33.

We beat them 107-102 behind 24 points from Young.

We also got 19 points, 14 boards, and 1 block from Duncan. He shot 8 of 16.

Williams with 17 points and 9 assists. Speights with 16 points, 8 boards, and 3 blocks in 30 minutes.

Fuller with 12 points in just 7 minutes as he made 4 3 pointers.

Holiday with 12 points, 8 assists, 3 steals, and a block in 34 minutes. He shot 4 of 6.

Jefferson with 0 points and 5 boards in 21 minutes.

We are 41-16. Our next game is hosting a more talented (at least with us missing Turner and Iggy) Bulls team that is only 34-25.

At the end of 1, we are up 22-18. Good team ball on both ends is helping us beat this team.

Wow. We are playing GREAT team defense and it is getting us some easy baskets. We are up 54-38 at the half! Duncan and Jefferson are doing a great job shutting down Boozer.

Holiday with 16 points and 6 assists at the half.

At the end of 3, we are up 75-58. Our defense is playing very well.

We had a 16 point lead most of the quarter, but they put a scare into us down the stretch. We hold on to win 85-79.

Feb 27th -

We play at Detroit. They are 30-28. We are 42-16.

We beat them 103-98 despite 31 points and 10 boards from Anthony Randolph.

Young led us with 20 points and 7 boards. Speights with 16 points and 6 boards in just 13 minutes as he fouled out.

Williams with 14 points and 8 assists. Holiday with 12 and 6.

Fuller with 10 points in 14 minutes. Muprhy with 10 points and 11 boards in 30 minutes. He played extra minutes cause Duncan was hurt early in the game. He'll miss 2-4 weeks with a sprained knee.

Jefferson with 3 points, 10 boards, and a block.

Duncan with 2 and 2 in 4 minutes.

LeBron and Chris Paul won player of the month in Febuary. Stribling and Lawson won rookie of the Month again (they have won it every month.)

March 1st -

Duncan will miss the Spurs coming into Philly. Can we take them with our severely depleted team? They are 34-25. We are 43-16.

We are missing too many parts. We lose 100-92 as Ginobili torches us for 39 points. Parker with 14 points and 8 assists. Redd with 13 points in 14 minutes. Jamison with 7 points and 11 boards in 34 minutes.

Young led our team with 16 points. Holiday with 16 points and 9 assists.

Fuller with 14 points in 13 minutes. He shot 6 of 6.

Speights with 13 points, 9 boards, and 2 blocks.

Williams with 10 points and 4 assists. Murphy with 9 points and 7 boards.

Jefferson with 2 points, 9 boards, and a block in 26 minutes.

I decide to sim a few extra games until we get at least one more starter back..

March 4th -

We host the Wolves who are 29-32 but more talented than us at the moment.

We outgun them 124-106.

Speights with 26 points, 10 boards, and 2 blocks in 27 minutes.

Young with 21 points and 2 boards. Holiday with 19 points and 10 assists.

Murphy with 17 points and 10 boards in 25 minutes. Williams with 13 points and 5 assists.

Meeks with 9 points. Jefferson with 8 points, 13 boards, and 2 blocks.

Fuller with 7 points in 12 minutes.

March 6th -

We host the Clippers who are VERY talented but are 18-43.

Evan Turner has been cleared to return. I'll sim these next 2 games and got back on schedule. Turner adds 8 points to our roster rating. Wow..

Turner hits a last second shot to give us a 105-104 win!

Turner with 28 points, 8 boards, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks. He shot 13 of 20.

Young with 25 points qnd 4 boards. He shot 6 of 16.

Williams wtih 14 points and 6 assists. Holiday with 10 and 10.

Murphy with 8 points and 7 boards. Speights with 8 points in 8 minutes as he fouled out! So frustrating as he is complaining more and more about his lack of minutes...

Jeffferson wtih 4 points, 6 boards, and 2 blocks as he fouled out in 20 minutes. Blake Griffin abused them both. He had 27 points, 14 boards, and 1 block.

Gordon, Bledsoe, and Harper with 20 points each.

March 8th -

We play at Cleveland who are 20-42 and have one of the worst rosters in the league.

We beat them 125-100. Louis Williams played 24 minutes and had 13 points on 3 of 11 shooting. Brand played 29 minutes and shot 2 of 10. 8 points and 5 boards.

Speights led us with 26 points and 4 boards in 28 minutes. Holiday with 23 points and 6 assists.

Murphy with 15 points and 9 boards. Turner with 15 points, 5 boards, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. He shot 5 of 11.

Young with 12 points. Williams with 10 points and 12 assists.

Jefferson with 9 points, 7 boards, and a block in 24 minutes. Is he starting to show signs of breaking out?

Our next game is on the 9th vs Utah. Utah is 32-30 and has a roster rating of 80. We are 46-17 with a rating of 88 now.

After the game, I tell Speights he is our starter and his morale improves considerably. I tell Duncan that he will be our a key bench player. He is a bit upset about it but seems accepting of the role.

During the game, Young had his 5,000th career point.

The Pacers' chances take a serious blow as Roy Hibbert breaks a bone in his back and is done for the year. He was an anchor for them in the middle with an automatic double double almost every night.

Durant and Wall won Players of the Week.

March 11th -

We host the Knicks. We are 47-17. They are 28-34.

We win 115-97. That win secures a playoff birth.

WOW. Fuller led us with 22 points in 11 minutes. Best mid-season FA signing ever? He shot 7 of 10 including 3 of 5 from the arc.

Turner with a triple-double. 20 points, 10 boards, 11 assists, 3 steals, 1 block, and 2 turnovers. He shot 8 of 15.

Holiday with 20 points, 8 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block. He shot 7 of 11.

Speights with 7 points and 3 boards in 17 minutes as he got into foul trouble. Jefferson with 6 points, 8 boards, and 1 block in 33 minutes.

That 22 points was a career high for Fuller.

March 12th -

We play the next night at Milwaukee. The Bucks are 29-35 but they are talented..

We beat them 113-108! They had 26 from Batum and 25 from Jennings.

We got 29 points, 9 boards, and 3 blocks from Speights in 36 minutes.

Young with 17 points. Fuller with 14 points in 8 minutes! He shot 5 of 6 and 4 of 4 from the arc!

Williams wtih 14 points and 2 assists. Turner with 14 points, 5 boards, 6 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks.

Meeks with 7 points in 11 minutes. Holiday with 7 points, 6 assists, 3 boards, and 2 steals.

Not the blowout, I was expecting.

We are up 25-24 at the end of 1. Young is our leading scorer.

We open up the 2nd quarter with a 14-0 run. Turner with 10 points during the run. 39-24 as they call time.

Speights picks up a 4th foul in the 2nd quarter. We are up 44-25.

We are up 61-39 at the half. Turner with 19 points,

A bad 3rd quarter as I rested my starters for a few minutes. We are up 75-65.

With that 2nd quarter, we should have won by more, but I'll take the 97-88 win.

Turner is the player of the game with 29 points, 8 boards, 11 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks, and 4 turnovers. He shot 12 of 17, 1 of 2, and 4 of 6.

Jefferson with 17 points, 10 boards, 2 blocks, and 1 assist. He shot 8 of 17.

Young with 14 points, 6 boards, 3 assists, and 4 steals. He shot 5 of 9.

Speights with 6 points, 5 boards, and 2 blocks in 26 minutes. He shot 3 of 7.

Murphy with 4 points and 5 boards in 22 minutes.

Fuller with 3 points in 9 minutes. He shot 1 of 5.

Williams with 3 points and 4 assists in 16 minutes.

Westbrook beats Williams off the dribble.. drives into the lane.. draws in the defense.. kicks it out to Harden who swishes a 3. 98-95 with 5 seconds left.

We lead 26-25 at the end of 1. Turner with 17 points in the quarter.

At halftime, we are down 52-51. Turner with a quiet 2nd quarter. DeMarcus Cousins was the big scorer in the 2nd half. Turner still has 17 points at the half. He also has 6 boards and 5 assists.

We had a rough stretch where they outscored us 20-4. Nate Robinson was hitting from all over the court. We closed the quarter strong and cut the deficit. At the end of 3, we are down 82-73.

We never could overcome that bad 3rd quarter. We closed within 4, but Turner missed 2 shots in the final minute.

We lose 106-102. Oh well, looks like it is the #2 seed for us. At least, we don't seem to have to worry about the Bulls as they look like they are going to get the 4 or 5 seed.

Nate Robinson is the player of the game 28 pointsw, 8 assists, 2 boards, 1 steal, and 6 turnovers. He shot 7 of 17 and 4 of 11 from the arc.

Murphy with 6 points and 5 boards. Duncan with 6 points and 1 board in 20 minutes.

Fuller with 5 points in 3 minutes. Might need to get him a few more minutes when we are shooting poorly.

Holiday with 6 points and 3 assists.

I decide to sim out the rest of the regular season with our seeding locked:

The Bulls have now climbed into the 5th seed. The Pistons are currently 7th.

April 1st -

The Bucks are led by star PG Brandon Jennings. The 23 year old 6'1 169 pound PG has become their best player. He can score from anywhere on the court. He's averaging 21.9 ppg, 7.4 apg, and 2.0 spg.

7'0 260 pound C Andrew Bogut is 28 and in the prime of his career. Strong scorer and rebounder. He's averaging 14.6 ppg, 8.9 rpg, and 1.8 bpg.

SF Nicolas Batum is a very good shooter who is 6'8 200. He is 24 years old. He's averaging 10.9 ppg and 4.5 rpg.

26 year old SG Chris Douglas-Roberts is 6'7 200 and is a splid outside shooter. He is averaging 11.9 ppg and 4.3 rpg.

Luc Richard Mbah A Moute is a 6'8 230 pound PF who is 26 and has good mobility. His minutes are way down this year.

Instead, they are playing SF Corey Maggette at PF quite a bit. He is 6'6 225 and is averaging career low 14.1 ppg and 2.6 rpg.

I feel we match up well against them at almost every position. As long as we don't have any injuries, we should be able to handle them.

Well, crud! I'm playing the Hawks instead of the Bucks. The Hawks have talent all over the place and actually have a better roster rating than we do! The Bobcats get the Bucks.

We need to watch out for Joe Johnson, Josh Smith, and Horford. Villaneuva and Holland aren't chop liver either. Much tougher match-up, but I like our chances.

We started off slow, but we are on 11-2 run when they call time. We are up 17-11 with 3:11 to go in the quarter.

At the end of 1, we are up 21-15. Turner with 9 points. Speights with 6.

At halftime, we are up 50-45. Turner with 22 points, 4 boards, and 3 assists.

At the end of 3, we are up 76-61. Turner with 33 points now. Duncan with a few big boards.

I empty the bench with a 28 point lead and 5:30 to go.

We win the game 102-80.

Turner is the player of the game with 39 points, 8 assists, 6 boards, 2 steals, and 3 turnovers. He shot 14 of 18, 4 of 5, and 7 of 7.

Speights with 13 points, 4 boards, 1 block. He shot 6 of 14.

Holiday with 13 points, 10 assists, 4 boards, 2 steals, and 1 block. He had 3 turnovers. He shot 6 of 10.

Jefferson with 13 points, 8 boards, 3 assists, and 2 steals. He shot 5 of 6.

Young with 7 points and 7 boards. He shot 2 of 8.

Duncan with 6 points and 6 boards. He shot 2 of 7.

Fuller with 5 points in 15 minutes. He shot 2 of 6.

Johnson was their leading scorer with 20 points but he shot 7 of 25.

Following along. I was inspired enough to start up my own game with the Sixers. I traded away Iggy and Louis Williams for a lot of depth, but I find that my best overall guy tends to be Thaddeus Young most nights. Amazing shooter and athletic too. And Evan Turner is amazing going to the bucket, if only he was that good in real life!

Turner is unbelievable. I'm hoping his roof comes somewhat close to what I'm seeing in the game. IRL, he is only a rookie still. Anyway, I'm settled in my apartment and looking forward to playing a bunch the next few days before I start work (but also have lots of friends and family in NJ to catch up with - not to mention unpacking.) I'm seriously considering trading Iggy after this season for a star C (Dwight Howard) or PF as I'd like to keep playing Thaddeus Young big minutes and Iggy might be slowed down by his injury...

A preview of Charlotte:

Holiday in early serious foul trouble. I'm going to try to let him play through it...

Young gets Gerald Wallace in foul trouble. We lead 9-8 midway through the 1st.

Holiday gets his 3rd with 6 minutes to go in the quarter. Turner to PG and Fuller into the game.

I rest Turner the final 2 minutes of the quarter and they close out with a 7-0 run. We are down 27-22 at the end of 1.

We bring back all starters including Holiday to start the 2nd.

I pressed my luck and Holiday picks up his 4th foul with 2 minutes to go in the half. Jefferson and Wallace each have 3. We are up 46-45 as I slide Turner to PG.

At halftime, we are tied at 50.

Turner with 25 points, 4 boards, and 4 assists.

We are down 64-58 with 7 minutes to go in the 3rd as I bring back Holiday.

We are down 73-69 at the end of 3. Turner had a much quieter 3rd quarter.

Turner with a huge 4th quarter. A 3 gives us a 87-85 lead with 5 minutes left..

With 2:29 to go, Holiday fouls out. We are tied at 89. My assistant convinces me to go big. Murphy at SF, Duncan at PF, and Speights at C with Turner and Young at PG and SG.

We miss a few shots as they doubling Turner every time, but with 30 seconds left, Turner finds Duncan for a wide open 10 footer that he swishes. Tied at 91.

Duncan forces a bad shot by Thomas and we get the board with 3 seconds left. We call time. We get Fuller and Jefferson into the game. The lineup is Turner, Fuller, Young, Jefferson, and Speights for the final shot...

Jefferson throws it into Turner at midcourt.. he dribbles.. splits a double team and shoots a 18 footer at the buzzer... and swishes it!!!! Turner with buzzer beater game winner!!!

We win the game 93-91!

Turner is the player of the game with 45 points, 9 assists, 6 boards, 2 steals, and 3 turnovers. He shot 16 of 27, 3 of 5, and 10 of 10.

Speights with 13 points, 12 boards, and a block. He shot 5 of 10.

Holiday with 12 points, 9 assists, 5 boards, 2 steals, and 6 turnovers. He shot 4 of 7.

Young with 6 points and 10 boards. He shot 2 of 7.

Fuller with 6 points in 17 minutes. Duncan with 5 points, 7 boards, and a block in 19 minutes.

Jefferson with 4 points, 6 boards, 2 assists, and a block in 31 minutes. He shot 2 of 6.

Murphy with 2 points and 1 board in 17 minutes. He had 3 turnovers. He shot 1 of 4.

4 players each had 17 points for them: Thomas (5 of 12), Jackson (7 of 21), Augustin (3 of 9), and Azubuike (5 of 9.) Wallace with 11 points, 5 boards, and 4 assists on 4 of 12 shooting.

Now, time for game 2. Can we win 2 in a row at home?

Memphis wins 112-104 to take a 2-0 lead over the Nuggets. They were led by 39 points from Gay and 24 from Mayo. Carmelo shot 8 of 25 but had 23 points.

They start out the game 12-3 as we turn it over way too much early.

At the end of 1, we are tied at 21. Murphy with a very nice quarter off the bench.

With 5:16 to go in the 2nd, Kleiza hits his 2nd 3 but gets hurt on the landing from his jump shot. He looks like it is serious. We are down 37-32.

We go on a 15-0 run after that.

At halftime, we lead 47-37. Young is our leading player tonight with 10 points, 10 boards, and 2 assists.

With 8 minutes to go in the 3rd, Turner and Augustin collide.. Augustin is down and holding his back. Looks like his night is done. We are up 56-38. After a quiet first half, Turner is turning it on.

Augustin is back a few minutes later. Just some back spasms. We lead 60-43.

We had a 20 point lead, but they close in the last 3 minutes of the quarter as I rest Young and Turner.

At the end of 3, we lead 65-53.

With 9:45 to go in the game, we bring back Turner and Young who are both rested. We lead 67-57.

After a quiet 3 quarters, Turner turns it on in the 4th and puts the game away. I pull my starters with 3 minutes to go and a 88-64 lead.

We win the game 95-74! 3-0 lead!

Turner is the player of the game after a very strong 4th. He finishes the game with 21 points, 5 boards, 5 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block. He had 3 turnovers. He shot 6 of 20, 3 of 4, and 6 of 6.

Young with 18 points, 14 boards, and 4 assists. He should have gotten player of the game, but he did have 5 turnovers. He shot 6 of 8, 1 of 1, and 5 of 6.

Murphy kept us going during dry stretches with a nice game. 17 points, 4 boards, and 1 block. He shot 7 of 7.

Jefferson with 12 points, 10 boards, and 2 blocks.

Speights with 11 points, 6 boards, and a block.

Holiday with 6 points, 11 assists, 3 boards, 2 steals, and 4 turnovers. He shot 3 of 6.

Duncan with 6 points and 5 boards in 18 minutes.

Fuller with 4 points, 5 boards, and a block in 20 minutes.

Meeks with 2 assists in 8 minutes.

I don't see any coaches out there better than Doug Collins, so I decide to extend his contract for 3 years at 4 million per year.

I also hire a 2nd scout for our draft preparations.

Wow. Despite the injury, Iggy declined his player option and is now a FA.

I pick up options on 4 young players: Turner, Jefferson, Jamison, and Baylor.

Turner is the highest rated player who gets his option picked up. Other highly rated players getting their option picked up: Wall (92), Cam Campbell (91), Brandon Roy (Player option - 88), Blake from Washington (87), Ellis (87), Hodges (Portland - 85), Derrick Favors (83)

Iggy is the highest rated player who declined his option.

The coaching carousel continues to go at high speed:

The Bobcats hired Scott Brooks, The Bucks hired Tom Thibodeau, The Bulls hired Jerome Wagner, Cavs hire Monty Williams, Celtics hire Stan Van Gundy, Clippers hire Nate McMillian, Grizzlies hire Robin Faulk, a bunch of other changes. Some notable ones:

Heat hire back Erik Spoelstra after Phil retired, Hornets hire Jerry Sloan, Kings hire Paul Westphal, Lakers hire Alvin Gentry, Magic hire Jim O'Brien, Thunder hire Avery Johnson, Warriors hire Vinny Del Negro.

Now for player re-signing...

We re-sign Jrue Holiday for 5 years and 70 million dollars. The 23 year old PG is quickly becoming one of the top 10 PG's in the league.

Iggy is refusing to re-sign and insists on testing FA.

We re-sign Troy Murphy to 1 year at 553k.

We re-sign Fuller to a 1 year deal for 1.4 million.

We re-sign Mo Williams to a 4 year deal for 28 million. A bit higher than I wanted, but I like having a very solid backup PG.

I let Jodie Meeks test out FA and probably won't bring him back.

The Draft Lottery:

The top 5 chance for #1 Pick:

1. Wizards (25%), 2 Clippers (19.9), 3 Portland (15.6), 4. Dallas (11.9), and Cleveland (8.8)

The actual order:

1. Washington, 2 Trailblazers, 3 Jazz (big increase), 4. Clippers, 5 Mavs, 6 Cavs, Nets, Magic, Knicks, Kings, Pacers, Pistons, Wolves, Trailblazers, and Raptors. We are 28th.

A look at some of the top and most interesting players in the draft:

1. 20 year old SG Devin Huffman is expected to go #1. He is 6'5 218 with tremendous athleticism and tremendous shooting ability. To top it off, he is already an elite defender.

2. 22 year old SG Marcel Micoud is the only other contender. He is a tremendous athlete who is also a tremendous shooter. He is 6'5 214.

3. J.J. Stone completes the triad of top players in this draft. The 6'3 180 pound PG is 23 which is the only knock on him. Great playmaker and shooter.

4. SG Ben Pope is only 6'0 and a bit stocky at 215. However, he is a great shooter.

5. 20 year old PG Marshall Samuel is another player with a huge upside. He is a great athlete with a good shooting touch. These 5 players all have all-star potential.

Arvydas Stojic is a player who interests me quite a bit. At 6'7 and 240 he is a good athlete who is a great shooter. He is projected to go in the 7-10 range. He is 22 years old.

PF Donnie Mann is 6'10 235 and is the best big man in the draft. Great rebounder and defender.

SF J.P Kelley really intrigues me. He is 6'11 220 and is a silky smooth shooter with 3 point range. He is projected to go 7-10 and if he makes it to that range, I'll probably try to trade for him...

This deep draft also features a very nice SG in Theodore Jackson. He is a bit raw and underdeveloped at 6'7 180 but our staff loves his shooting touch and feels he will grow into a very good player.

20 year old SG Ian Clayton is another player our staff loves and feels could be an all-star. This is the deepest draft I've seen in years. He is 6'4 220 with great athleticism and good shooting.

C Lloyd Madsen is the 2nd best big man. At 6'10 290, he has a strong rebounding presence and he is a very good defender.

After workouts, I'm in love with Kelley. He isn't very quick, but he is a strong dunker and great shooter. I may make a strong move to get him....

Also, I worked out Devin Huffman for shits and giggles. WOW. Kid is dynamite. Didn't miss a shot from anywhere on the court. I'll be shocked if he doesn't go #1 and isn't rookie of the year. Him and Wall together are scary..

It is time for the draft...

Wow. The Wizards take PG Marshall Samuel. WTF? I don't see how he makes the top 3, and even if he does, why a PG when you have Wall?

2. Wow. The Trailblazers take SG Ben Pope. Guess their scouts widely disagree with mine.

3. Utah takes Marcel Micoud. Guess, they don't love Huffman like I do. Very tempting, but I need the tall shooting SF...

The Clippers offer me Chris Kaman and the #4 pick for Speights and Jefferson. Tempting, but I still think both players are going to be very good. I think Jefferson is on the verge of breaking out. I turn down the deal. If Kaman wasn't 31 and already showing signs of breaking down, I would do this trade.

The Clippers take Devin Huffman. Great value there.

5. The Mavs take PG J.J. Stone. Best player left. Great choice..

6. SOB! The Trailblazers trade up to the #6 pick and get Kelley! I wonder if I can convince them to trade him.

They traded Elliott Williams and Brandan Wright to the Cavs for the #6 pick and Marvin Williams.

7. The Nets take SG Ian Clayton.

8. The Magic take SG Uwe Hoffman from Germany.

9. The Knicks take project SG Theodore Jackson

10. The Kings get SF Arvydas Stojoic.

At 14, The Trailblazers read my mind and offer me Kelley and their 14th pick for Jefferson. I try to counter by offering them a combo of Powe and Baylor, but they want nothing to do with that. However, they counter with Walsh and Leon Powe for J.P Kelley! I feel a bit bad robbing them, but they obviously do not like the kid now that they have seen him. Honestly, I don't like his revealed ratings either, but I think he will play better than his ratings. I make the deal!

The Trailblazers take SF.

The Trailblazers offer me the 17th pick and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute for Tim Duncan and PG Norm Baylor. Norm isn't getting time here with Holiday and Mo Williams and Duncan has 1 year left at best. I hate giving him up, but no one has taken the young C that I think will be a very good big man. I pull the trigger!

We take Lloyd Madsen.

The Lakers are bummed I took him and offer me their pick and PG Neil Torres for him. Torres looks like a bust. I turn them down.

With the 28th pick I take Ramon Ramos, a very good shooting SG. He is from Puerto Rico and is 6'4 204 with good athleticism and excellent shooting.

The Mavs wanted him and offer us the next pick plus SG Jamaal Collins for him. I turn them down.

With the 29th pick in the 2nd round, I take Hal Myers a 6'9 215 pound SF with some decent athleticism.

I lost track of the draft, but here is the results with revealed ratings. Guess my scouts were wrong:

1. Wizards PG Marshall Samuel 78
2. Trail Blazers SG Ben Pope 80
3. Jazz SG Marcel Micoud 76
4. Clippers SG Devin Huffman 73
5. Mavs PG J.J. Stone 72
6. Trailblazers (then traded to me) SF J.P Kelley 67 - convinced he will play better than that. His defense may be a problem though..

7. Nets SG Ian Clayton 68
8. Magic SG Hoffman 64
9. Knicks SG Jackson 67
10. Kings SF Stojic 65
11. Pacers SG Vince Hickman 63
12. Pistons PG Bruno Petrovic 58
13. Wolves PG Ervin Berry 58
14. Trail Blazers SF Stevie Hawkins 61
15. Raptors PF Donnie Mann 65
16. Hawks PF Alonzo Evans 59
17. 76ers C Lloyd Madsen 62 - definitely will provide some rebounding and defense off the bench.

18. Warriors Monty Madsen SF 63
19. Lakers C Jermaine Cox (who I considered cause he is 7'0 250) 63 (but I think Madsen has better potential.)
20. Rockets SG Art Maxwell 59

Rest of the group is 55 or below. My SG with the 28th pick is rated 56 overall.

My 2nd round SF Hal Myers is rated 55 overall.

Wow. I just added 4 rookies to the team. Building around Turner.

With the Duncan trade, I'm now 2 million under the cap. I also have my MLE. Can I get a good serviceable player along with Iggy (who may be signed and traded if I can get a star C as he is getting older and may not be the same after the injury.)

A look at the top FA's:

Brandon Jennings 6'1 169, 23 years old, 89.
Bynum!!! WOW. 7'0 285, 25, Rated 88. I would love to get him.
James Harden. 6'5 220, 86.
Ty Lawson, 5'11 195, 25, 86.
Jonny Flynn, 6'0 185, 24, 85.
Josh Smith, 6'9 240, 27, 85 (and frequent all-star.)
Manu Ginobili, 6'6 205, 35, 81.
DeJuan Blair, 6'7 265, 24, 78.
Rodrigue Beaubois, 6'0 170, 77.
Iggy, 6'6 207, 76 (will he bounce back to an 88 after the injury?)

I start negotiating with Bynum as it was.. he wants 102 million over 5 years. He also wants to be the star of whatever team he is on. Obviously, I can't get him without a sign and trade.

Crud. Iggy wants 125 million over 6 years. I can't do that with questions about how he will bounce back.

The Pistons and Cavs are battling for Bynum's signature.

The Magic are offering Iggy 82 million over 5 years. I decide to offer him that and hope his health holds up. He could be a valuable trade piece..

The Magic up their offer to 100 million over 5 years. Bastards. I match.

Meanwhile the top 2 FA's sign:

The Pistons get Bynum to sign 4 years for 78 million. The Bucks sign Jennings to a 5 year 85 million dollar deal.

The Magic decrease their deal to 4 years and 78 million for Iggy. I match.

Wow. Iggy wants out and the Spurs come out of no where and offer him 85 million over 4 years and he takes it! Crud!!

The Cavs get Jonny Flynn for 5 years at 85 million.

The Lakers sign Dorrell Wright for 5 years and 25 million.

The Pistons sign Ginobili for 2 years and 11 million.

The Hawks sign DeJuan Blair for 5 years and 52 million.

The Bulls sign Rashard Lewis to 2 years and 7.5 million.

The Hawks sign Josh Smith to 6 years and 85 million.

I can't believe I lost Iggy for nothing and lost my trade piece. That may go down as my worst move as GM in this career.

Do you think Iggy got pissed because you ended up decreasing your deal?

Yes, I do. Stupid move on my part. I underestimated the level of realism in the game. Oh well, I think I'm going to go on a bit more of a youth movement and maybe trade for another young developing player. The Trailblazers seem to have interest in moving Donnie Mann who I think would be another nice complimentary piece to my shooters that I already have. We need defense and rebounding even though Jefferson provides some of that.

I do sort of rally and sign Charlie Villanueva to a 3 year deal for 15 million. The 28 year old PF could be a valuable outside shooter or trade bait for us...

Other FA signings:

The Magic gets Ty Lawson to a 5 year 90 million dollar deal.

They also sign James Harden to a 5 year 85 million dollar deal. Wow. Lot of talent around Howard.

The Cavs give Reggie Williams 34 million over 5 years. They also give Jermey Lin 20 million over 3 years. They also sign Rodrigue Beaubois to 4 years and 46 million.

The Bobcats sign Ramon Sessions to 4 years and 36 million.

The Spurs sign Jeff Teague to 3 years and 30 million.

The Mavs sign Paul Millsap to 4 years and 39 million.

The Clippers sign Toney Douglas to a 3 year 24 million dollar deal.

The Magic sign Wayne Ellington to 3 years and 21 million as well.

The Kings sign Andris Biedrins to a 4 year 42 million dollar deal.

I try to trade for Bynum, but the only way the Pistons will give him up is if I give up Evan Turner and Holiday which is not happening.

The Magic will only give up Howard for Turner, Holiday, and Jefferson. No star Center for us. We'll have to deal with just having a very solid center in Speights.

A look at my roster as I decide if I should make any more moves (leaning towards doing so)
