Anyone use Opera?

I'm getting really pissed off at Firefox these days and I'm wondering if Opera will be my safety parachute.

Opera is kind of sucky - hence why its usage share is so low even though it is free.

I'd like details. According to wikipedia, it has roughly 12% of market:

Chrome 17-23, Firefox 10-17, Internet Explorer 10, Opera 12, Safari 6

Numbers for 2012

Where exactly are you getting your numbers from?

Usage share of web browsers - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

That's 3.72% for wikimedia. Stat counter has it down pretty low as well (1.42%).

I use Opera. But I use Firefox at work. Firefox is a bit faster. But I'm used to Opera.

I used to use Opera back in the day and I tried it again a few months ago. Didn't like it at all.

If you want more detail, here is Tom's Hardware review of all the main webbrowsers , back in Nov 2012:

The King Is Dead, Long Live The King! : Which Web Browser Is Best Under Windows 8?

Opera is ranked last.

Okay, you are going to laugh at me, ready?

Those numbers I misread. They are version numbers for the software, not market shares. LOL!!!

I would instantly seriously question any stat that showed Opera beating IE. I think this year was the first year IE wasn't first since the days of Netscape. Opera has been 4th-5th most used for some time.

I use it as my main browser and it works fine. I know there were problems with a previous build .Firefox slowed down big time for me.
