Not sure about this vote, but there's obviously no support for Jackal, also considering switching to Lerriuqs.

Maybe this will help jog memory? Here are all the posts prior to it where you are talking with Jackal.

Danny's vote ties it at 4-4, best I can tell. Everything else is your conversation with Jackal.

okay...then fair enough...i can see how it appears that way. i guess the other conversation i was having might have been with lathum or maybe in my own head. so i guess there is just my word that that is how i was leaning...

Anyway, I'll likely hold off until tomorrow on voting to see if we have any meaningful role information to help with the decision.

DT, I appreciate you taking time tonight to give your thoughts since your schedule is going to be hectic tomorrow.

whoa, not the best of days but not the worst. We lost the bodyguard, ugh! And J23, what the heck bro? I really didn't feel strong enough that Lathum was a wolf to waste a power on it. Maybe u saw something I didn't though.

Ummm...what?

1. Based on what? I reviewed the posts through the day to that point and most of the talk was revolving around you two. How does that look like I wanted the showdown between you and Kwhit?
2. I already had stated it. I made this post over a day ago in response to Danny's post.

I appreciate him being responsive to concerns about him, but I need to vote early today and I think he is a good candidate. When I leave for work in 80 minutes or so I will be out pretty much until after deadline. I might have a 10 minute period around 6 eastern, but its not a guarantee.

VOTE DT

I still think there is a reasonable possibility that one of Darth / Telle (clap) is a wolf and one of dubb / DT / lerriuqs as well based on my page 6 analysis. I think hoops' point that a wolf would have been likely to have been on DT is not unreasonable. So therefore I'm killing two birds with one vote so to speak.

Maybe it's just because I've been a villager in a couple games recently (soccer, Nazi) where voting record did not help in finding the last wolf, or like the Scooby game where I was a villager with the worst voting record towards the end of the game and lynched for it. Wolves know how to be sneaky, especially most of the people here who are extremely experienced and know the same general wisdom everyone else knows.

Anyway, to get back from waxing philosophically, I don't see myself voting for hoops or KWhit because I feel they're both villagers. Despite what I said earlier, seeing that I have little else to go on at this point (believing we were v-v D1), I find myself drifting towards what Danny said regarding wolves wanting to set candidates. That being the case, let's look at the opening voting:

82 - Dubb votes JAG (1-0)
85 - Lathum votes Telle (1-1 JAG/Telle)
87 - PB votes Darth (1-1-1 JAG/Telle/Darth)
88 - Dubb unvotes JAG (1-1 Telle/Darth)
91 - Hoops votes KWhit (1-1-1 Telle/Darth/KWhit)
106 - Darth votes NTN (1-1-1-1 Telle/Darth/KWhit/NTN)
109 - Danny votes J23 (1-1-1-1-1 Telle/Darth/KWhit/NTN/J23)

So Dubb opens voting on me (though he takes it back), Lathum adds another candidate but in my experience it's not unusual for him to vote early either wolf or villager, PB votes Darth, Darth votes ntn, and (ironically) Danny introduces J23. Later we get this:

112 - J23 votes NTN (2-1-1-1-1 NTN over Telle/Darth/KWhit/J23)
117 - Lerri votes KWhit (2-2-1-1-1 NTN/KWhit over Telle/Darth/J23)
125 - Dubb votes NTN (3-2-1-1-1 NTN over KWhit over Telle/Darth/J23)
129 - DT votes KWhit (3-3-1-1-1 NTN/KWhit over Telle/Darth/J23)

Very quickly, we moved away from Darth / J23 / Telle as potential candidates. Maybe that's a coincidence, but if one of them is a wolf, one of the group that voted 2nd / 3rd on KWhit / ntn could be in cohoots with them.

Now that's a broad stroke of people admittedly, but it's better for me than blindly picking someone. Now I have to leave work, but I will probably aim for someone in that group after I give it some more thought.

hmmmm

I think this is the right vote count, as of Post #430:

DT - Danny (413), JAG (419), Dubb (425), Lerri (426)
Clap - DT (422)

Before someone asks (or maybe not because this'll take me a bit to put together):

1. I feel like the voting is going too easily (especially with a couple of my suspicious people jumping on the bandwagon).

2. DT has struck me as a villager with a role. I'm sure I can't be the only one who noticed this so I feel like we may as well get mileage out of this information and move on to other suspects because we can't fool around today. And if he's lying, the real role can step forward at some point and we can be sure of nailing a wolf one way or another.

I'm holding off on voting DT right now, even though that was my inclination heading into today. I'm not sure enough he is the guy that I want to push him into a 5-1 lead.

I'm still looking at either him or Lerriuqs for the vote. And I'm a little concerned that Lerriuqs has not gotten a single vote. I'm curious how people are making their distinctions between those two candidates and me, since others do not know for sure that I'm a villager.

If you are voting for DT other than reasons around the "wolves would have had at least one vote on KWhit D1" then what are those reasons?

For what it is worth, Danny seems to have pretty much locked into DT while excluding Lerri. This goes back to yesterday afternoon when he suggested that it might be worth following Lathum's vibe on DT once we saw that Lathum was a villager. I think this will look very good for Danny if DT ends up being a wolf or very bad for him if DT ends up being a villager.

I still have not figured out where to put Danny in terms of trust, so my perception that he is "protecting" Lerriuqs is coloring my thinking on the candidates a bit.

in the post of yours i quoted, the last sentace, said "If you are voting for DT other than reasons around the "wolves would have had at least one vote on KWhit D1" then what are those reasons?" but if the wolves had no idea who the cultist was.... then how could they have at least one vote on him?

Clap, as far as the wolves knew on D1 it was a villager/villager runoffs. Two leading candidates, one with 7 votes (NTN) and the other with 5 votes (KWhit). Those were all of the votes that day, with the exception of Danny on J23 and I think PB on someone else (going from memory there).

Normal wolf play under those circumstances is to split the votes among the leaders ... easier to hide that way. But there are only three people left alive that voted on KWhit from D1: me, DT, and Lerriuqs.

So, based on my premise - that at least one wolf voted for KWhit on D1 - I've got at least a 50/50 shot here in voting for DT or Lerriuqs. I've got better odds than you or the others because I know that I'm a villager. Lerriuqs and DT (whichever one is a villager) should feel the same way as I do and be looking at their 50/50 option. Other villagers should feel like it is a 33%+ proposition (maybe 66%?) and determine if they think it is their best option today or if there is another road that looks more promising.

Strange early runaway on DT. He's a fair candidate, yes, but let's not make it too easy, especially when we have no massively compelling evidence.

he wasn't making a point about KWhit being the cultist, just that KWhit was the other person in the running besides NTN day 1

Ah, I see hoops already answered you quite elaborately. FWIW I am leaning towards a KWhit voter myself.

Are you looking at KWhit voters for some broader reason or are you saying there's a specific KWhit voter you're leaning towards voting?

Broad reasoning. I don't think all three wolves would've been on the same candidate on day 1 when there were two villagers on the block. Doesn't make much sense. Suppose they could be trying to pull a fast one, though.

I agree with you that with no other evidence to go on that I'd rather go with that assumption. I asked you that because for some reason I thought you meant you were looking at ntn voters and I wanted to understand the reasoning. My misunderstanding there.
