1838 Season Schedule

[Young Drachma]

Since the move over here and the infusion of new people streaming over, I cleared the old board post-draft rosters and made everyone a free agent. We'll run this upcoming season with the normal schedule, going a week at a time during the in-game FA period.

The new league file is up and it has everyone as a FA and it also has all of you with minor league rosters now. (AAA/AA/SS-A)

I'll post a schedule later on.

Here's the initial schedule. Subject to change in the off-chance of disaster or something. Remember, everyone is a free agent. So once you're downloaded and logged into your account in-game, you can start making bids. Deadlines for each phase are below:

1838 SCHEDULE

11/7: Free Agency Stage 1 (7 days in-game)
11/8: FA2 (7 days in-game)
11/9: FA3 (14 days)
11/10: FA4 (Sim to start of ST)
11/11: Spring Training sim
11/13: Sim 1st half of the season
11/14: Amateur draft
11/15: Sim 2nd half of season
11/17: Post-season sim
11/19: Last day to make contract extensions before FAs declare.

Ideally, we won't always have all of those break days built in. But I wanted to make sure we had space/time to get it all done and to give people a chance to keep up.

I just updated the draft to fall around the same time as the all-star break. So hopefully that goes off without a hitch.

The schedule features interleague play.

Also, for minor leagues...since the pool isn't built for that -- the stock league we ran for 30 years didn't have minors -- I'm going to add minor leaguers to each of your teams for you in the next file. No accounting for quality, I'm going to let the game stock them. But just factor that into your planning.

FWIW everything was connecting, there just wasn't any new file for the game to snag.

I cancelled all of the February dates of spring training. It started too soon in-game and I wanted us to have more days of signings because we're running out of time and it seemed counterproductive with the new owners trying to fill out ballclubs. So it'll start in-game on March 1st.
