Arnett must only want to last one season in Starkville as HC.

Reports this afternoon that he plans to hire Mike Bobo as the new OC.

Hail State? That's more like OhHell State.

Holy shit, FSU projected 1st round DE Jared Verse is returning. I know the portal/NIL is relatively new, but FSU has done an unbelievable job getting guys to buy in and stick around. This is one of the good things about NIL is that it helps bring guys back to the college game (Oscar T at UK the same thing). Now, a lot of times the trade-off is they end up at a different school, but more guys are able to stay because they are getting paid.

We have pretty much everyone returning, the #1 transfer class and a top 15-20 HS class. This team is gunning for winning the ACC and getting into the top 4. I don't know if it will happen, but Norvell has navigated the portal and NIL really, really well.

NDSU going or their 10th National Championship in 12 years. Playing the SDSU Jackrabbits, who simply crushed us earlier this year, at home.

The Hogs have been hurt pretty bad by portal transfers. But it seems we are going pretty well getting new talent in. Too early to tell right now but not as bad as I would have thought.

I don't like the $. But I like the ability for the kids to move around, seems to make things more "efficient" for the kids. Supposedly not good enough to play for one team, there's another team willing to give him a shot.

Final predictions?

Mine is high scoring game with GA breaking away in 4Q.

Quote:
The No. 1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs and the No. 3 ranked TCU Horned Frogs are set to tee it up inside of SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California with the 2022-2023 national championship on the line Monday evening.

The undefeated Bulldogs opened as a 12.5-point favorite according to SISportsBook and have climbed up to 13.0 points as we near gameday.

With the team totals set at 62.5 points between the two opponents.

I'm tied in our office bowl pool so it comes down to point total tonight. I picked 73 and the guy I'm tied with picked 49 (picked before any bowls began). I felt pretty confident all 4 teams could score at will so I went high. But I need another 40-30-ish game tonight.

I am a die hard Longhorns fan, but I do have a soft spot for TCU, considering my grandma went there (she was a student the last time they won the NC) and I grew up in Fort Worth.

As expected, SDSU thoroughly spanked the Bison. The fan base needed it. SDSU was far superior all year. They are just a really, really good team. They beat us on both sides of the line. We still should be happy with getting to the finals again.

Alabama should have qualified for the playoff with more than a "but we're in the SEC!" resume.

My dog had a seizure about 15 minutes before the game started. We scooped and ran with him to the emergency vet. He seems fine now and they sent us home. While I was there, I tried to get the gane in my phone, but the ESPN app was trashed. I did finally get in after 15 minutes. It definitely gives me pause on thinking of cutting the cord.

Stetson Bennett is going to be in the College Football Hall of Fame. That is an amazing statement to say, but it is true. If this game finishes the way it looks, he is going to have two rings, been MVP of two Championship games, two playoff games, and an SEC Championship game. He also just became the first 4,000 yard passer in Geirgia football history.

I know he's 43, but I'm fine if Stetson gets a few NFL starts to at least see. There have been better regarded qbs with as much talent around them that haven't gone back to back.

I'm sorry this game is boring, but then I'm really not. I am enjoying this much more than the ulcer-inducing other playoff/championship games Georgia has been in.

I disagree - if Cinderella breaks her ankles and slices open her feet on the broken glass, this is pretty close.

Just took a look at the score. Yeah, well it was an opportunity. The oddsmakers had it right, but Michigan didn't exactly deserve to win.

From an analytics perspective, there were four plays last week with an expected points change of a touchdown, and they all went one way. So you take away Michigan's bizarre decision to focus on forcing the play outside while on defense and combine that with two terrible pass decisions, and you probably end up with a comfortable Michigan win. But that's why you play the games. Credit to the team that did its thing and didn't give in to the pressure.

Football seasons aren't long enough and playoffs are one-shot-only in football. There just isn't enough time to do it right - never will be.
