In response to the sabotage from last week, the BCS schools meet to decide on a course of action. The major players in each conference seem for the most part agreed that the fault lies with Mr. Wednesday, and proposes that sanctions be imposed on them.

However, when the vote arrives, the conference doormats seem to vote in lockstep. The fault lies, in their mind, with the MD superkittens (claphamsa)! Mr. Wednesday receives no sanctions.

As soon as we get the players trained on the new playbook, and remove all evidence of former coach Passacaglia's mismanagement of this team, the sky will be the limit. Obviously team 50 played this game like it was their superbowl, while our team was sloppy and sluggish. It did not help that the former coach allowed destractions such as MC Hammer on the sidelines during the game.

There is a new sheriff in town, and this ship is getting turned around.

Dang I lost. Anyways, here was my private poll from week 2.

1. Passacaglia
2. Racer
3. Barkeep49
4. Swaggs
5. Chief Rum

I wanted to get a sense of how many people were currently voting in the private poll so I voted Pass number one to see if he would show up in the rankings.

The lobbyist can alter the result of the sanctions vote in return for throwing their game.

Because I think any speculation along other avenues would likely be counterproductive, I will say that... I was the lobbyist that shifted sanctions off of myself. The logic for going to claphamsa was that I know I'm not a detractor, I have ntndeacon vouched, st.cronin was hit with sabotage, so I think that claphamsa is the most likely detractor in our conference.

That doesn't clear me, of course, since the detractors also have their own lobbyist.

The detractors will have one of each of these roles. In order to perform these actions, a team must throw its game that day. Keep in mind that there will be a detractor with each of these abilities -- the detractor also must throw their game to use them. The detractor who is the seer will be able to learn the role of one team, and will show up as not being a detractor if scanned if they throw their game.

Okay, I've reread the rules. Is there any reason not to reveal who the scout is in each conference. From what I can gather, their scan will be clean unless they happen to scan the bad scout. Since there is a good chance all scouts will come back good, would it be better to reveal who they are so the good scouts don't waste their time scanning them and focus on the other players in the conference instead?

Also, I'm not sure if this means anything, but the scout in my conference has not scouted at least one of the days (since you have to throw the game in order to scout). It's not really that hard to figure out even if you aren't in my conference. Barkeep, Swaggs, and myself won on day one. Chief Rum won on day two.

Pass, can you confirm that point totals from winning a challenge game are halved today?

Barkeep, if that's confirmed, I'm not interested in playing you as I get a better EV from one of the non-player teams.

I will have to confer with my with my conference, but probably not. I'm not sure how wise of an idea it is to schedule a game that I only have about a one in three chance of winning. If I win, that I'll probably be way up in my conference in power points and I'm not sure how good of an idea that is either (for a good guy or a wolf).

Yeah, I guess you could say that. The winner gets a number of powerpoints equal to the number of powerpoints that the loser has, divided by the number of games they've played -- in this case, everyone has played 2 games. So if you and Barkeep49 play, the winner gets 45 powerpoints.

My conference now has three different teams who have taken a -10: myself, claphamsa, and stcronin. Assuming that non-detractor sabotage is always -15 (Pass, is that correct?), it's all detractor sabotage. Either ntndeacon is the detractor here (and is their seer, or Alan/Alan's source was not truthful) or they have sabotaged one of their own (e.g. st.cronin who was accumulating rather less than full points on either day) to gain trust.

For the most part. The saboteur deals a 15 powerpoint loss, but the equipment manager can guard some or all of that.

so it is actually better to schedule a computer team today then in this case as we'd get full points correct?

I do not believe that Alan T -- now path12 -- is the detractor. All the work and advice that Alan provided as a member of my conference appeared to me to be pretty useful and ultimately hurt the wolves. Lathum cannot be the evil seer, as our conference's seer is well known, leaving Molson and myself as the possible detractors. It ain't me. So if RendeR is telling the truth, than Molson is a detractor.

My only worry is this. Lathum and Molson are about tied for second in my conference (42 and 40 PPs respectively). This could be a ploy by the wolves to help Lathum cement his position in 2nd place with the hopes that he would secure the BCS at-large bid. That seems a bit far-fetched to me for day 3, however, as many things can change between now and then.

Vote Molson

Okay, something just occured to me while I was out running. At least in my conference, everyone revealed what their role was to everyone else in our conference. I'm guessing this happened in every other conference as well so that means the detractors probably know what everyone's role is at this point in the game. So basically, the only reason not to reveal conference roles is if we we think providing the information will hurt our conference.
