Fernández Rewarded with Benny Myers Rookie of the Year Award
Thursday, November 20th, 2166: It was a standout 2166 season for Manny Fernández. The center fielder for the Cleveland Cyclones has been named the winner of the Continental League Benny Myers Rookie of the Year Award.

He hit .302 in 163 games with 204 hits and 88 RBIs and scored 118 runs.


Caceres Signs for 3 years
Friday, November 21st, 2166: Happy times in Hammersmith as the Hooligans and star catcher Ricardo Caceres put the finishing touches on a $18,870,000 contract extension that will keep the 25-year-old in town 3 years longer.

The signing is great news for Hammersmith because players of this caliber are hard to come by.

In his career Caceres has hit .285 with 606 hits, 130 doubles, 6 triples and 47 home runs. His totals also include 292 RBIs and 270 runs scored.

Gabriel Prado Award Presented by CL
Saturday, November 22nd, 2166: The Gabriel Prado Award winner in the Continental League for 2166 is Barrett Atkins, the Cleveland relief specialist.

For the year the trophy winner posted 46 saves in 51 save opportunities. He appeared in 74 games and compiled a 7-5 mark with a 2.21 ERA. The Cyclones star hurler pitched 77.1 innings and gave up 68 hits while striking out 98 and walking 16. Teams hit .236 against him.


Toronto Star, Gabriel Prado Award Winner
Saturday, November 22nd, 2166: George Flynn finished off a fine season by taking home the Republic League Gabriel Prado Award today.

The Toronto hurler went 17-7 on the year, posting a 2.91 ERA. Flynn also tallied 194 strikeouts in 216.1 innings and allowed opposing batters to hit only .246 against him.

Craig Ray Chosen CL's Top Batter
Sunday, November 23rd, 2166: What a way to finish off the year -- being honored with the 2166 Hideaki Tanaka Award in the Continental League. It had already been a very special season for Cleveland's Craig Ray, but today's announcement really put the icing on his cake.

All season long Craig Ray gave opposing pitchers fits by hitting .346 as he collected 225 hits, 39 doubles, 6 triples, 43 home runs and 120 RBIs.


Lewis Named 2166 RL Hideaki Tanaka Award Winner
Sunday, November 23rd, 2166: One of the Republic League's most coveted honors is the Hideaki Tanaka Award. When the votes were tabulated, the 2166 recipient was the standout center fielder of the Chico Rebels, John Lewis.

He starred this season with a .345 batting average, 220 hits, 21 home runs, 96 RBIs, .405 OBP and 105 runs scored.
