2017 FOFC Hardcore League II w/keeper rules - Season Starts! Where is Zinto?

Just trying to gauge interest again for this. I am willing to commish if we can find enough people interested.

Just one of my keeper ideas:

Keepers will escalate per the following:
Round 1-5 – increase one round per year
Round 6-10 – increase 2 rounds per year
Round 10-15 – increase 3 rounds per year
Round 16-20 – increase 4 rounds per year
Round 20 + - increase 5 rounds per year

I am interested so far. Depends on the cost and the rest of the rules but I love the keep idea with a limit on the number of keepers.

I can barely find more than 3 people interested, I'm not going to make this a pay league unless people really wanted that.

I would do something like 4-5 keepers. I think thats enough to make it interesting and enough to make the draft interesting and not drawn out.

Yep that makes sense or maybe down the road it could become a pay league. Are you thinking Head to Head or traditional 5x5 Roto categories?

I was always thinking about making it a mirror image of the FOFC hardcore league just with keepers - but I'm opening to doing either.

Since we are close - how many keepers should we have 3, 4, 5, 6 ?

The original hardcore league had 28 roster spots, and now has 27 (because they removed the 2nd catcher spot, but I'm now going to suggest we have another UTIL slot).

I think we should consider 6 (rather than 5) only from the standpoint of possible future expansion to 12 teams. Then we would go to 5 and allow the expansion teams to have something (meaningful) to choose from.

The rest of the rules are per the other FOFC league correct? If so I don't think there is anything except clarifying the draft time limits and draft hours just so we have them in this thread in case there is any question.

Same draft rules :

The draft will take place in this thread once the league has been set up. It is a snake draft.

The first pick each morning must be made by 10 am eastern time. Then the four hour clock will start for the next pick. Also, lets make the cutoff 10 pm eastern at night so if the final pick is made at 8 pm, the next person has until 10 am eastern time to make his pick. If most people in this league live in the western time zone or central time zone we could adjust this

On weekends the first pick must be made by 10 am eastern, we'll *go with a standard 4 hours with a 10 pm eastern time cut off.

If there are problems in that you know your pick is coming up but you won't be online, submit a list either to myself or to a proxy drafter for you. Otherwise, you will get the next player on Yahoo's list. Maybe pick someone who is on the opposite end of the draft from you so that you likely won't be grabbing from the same pool of players anyways.
