Beat the Falcons last night with surprising ease, holding them to two FGs. I also had the longest TD run I've had yet in this Madden with Banyard, who tore the Falcons apart on the ground.

Ryan had the worst QB game I've ever seen from an AI QB in this year's Madden. He was still pretty accurate, but 3 picks to no TDs is a real rarity, especially against the Vikings' sucky defense.

I've either gotta be out of the league, or you're going to have to be ok with me being in and out over the next few weeks. Major crunch at work has me working most nights, and my weekends are taken up with visits to Clemson and then Disney World in October. I literally don't have a weekend free until Halloween weekend.

Whatever you decide is fine with me, I hadn't won a game playing yet anyway because I am thoroughly unable to stop the AI offense, nor have I been able to figure out how to move the ball with these sliders.

But I would gladly jump back in when I have time after a few weeks if that's ok with everyone. If not, I understand. Thanks.

Nice! I like the leaderboard thing.

I got my game in early this morning. Work has been pretty hectic, but I woke up early today and things just worked out.

My game was against the Eagles, and it was by far the biggest challenge I've faced thus far. Early in the 4th quarter I fell behind 21-10 and all seemed lost. But on the ensuing kickoff, I found a crease and Bruce Ellington scored his first NFL Touchdown. Foles drove the Eagles down for a field goal, and I got the ball with 6 minutes to go, down by 5. Kaep had been wildly inaccurate all game, but he somehow pulled himself together for a fantastic drive. Bruce Miller punched it in for a TD, and Carlos Hyde plowed his way in for the 2 point conversion. I went up by 3, and then a few plays into the Eagles final drive, Foles fumbled the ball and we recovered it. Hyde scored on a very impressive 10 yard run where he broke 3+ tackles, and we effectively put the game away. The screenshot shown is from the Ellington return for a TD.

If anyone has better sliders and we can all agree to the change, I'm all for it. I don't want anyone to drop out because of that. I just used what was recommended in the Madden thread.

I'm fine with these sliders. The game is supposed to be hard. If it were easy, everyone would do it. The hard, is what makes it great...

Just played a fantastic game against the Chiefs. I had quite a bit of trouble moving the ball through the air at first, and my wideouts dropping passes left and right weren't helping the matter. I was able to hit Anquan Boldin on a post route just before halftime to cut the Chiefs lead to 9-7. In the second half, Frank Gore, finally returning from a Pre-Season injury, really caught fire. Things looked like they were all locked up until Alex Smith hit A.J. Jenkins on a 75 yard touchdown pass that put the Chiefs up by 1 (two pt conversion failed). The turning point of the game was a pick thrown by Alex Smith with 3 minutes left on 3rd down, which I returned 30 yards into Chiefs territory. Frank Gore pushed his way down into field goal range, and Phil Dawson knocked thru the game winner.

Final Score
Chiefs - 15
49ers - 17

POTG: Frank Gore - 25 att / 154 yds / 1 TD

Oh for crying out loud. C'mon guys. This league won't be much fun if people just flake out. And it's not about having time. Some people have kids. Some people have long hour jobs. Some people have high maintenance Wives. I have all three, yet I've played every game.

Set aside one freaking hour every four days and play some video games, whydontcha.

Korme, how do you feel about setting a limit to the number of days you can go without responding to your opponent before they can play the game without you? Like, if the deadline to play is Sunday, and they haven't responded by Friday at midnight, I feel that you should be able to play the CPU.

I just don't know if it's possible to do that, Sun. I think the way the game is setup is that if both teams are user controlled, they have to play h2h

I'm gonna try to get a game in tomorrow, I don't even know if I'm playing a user or the CPU, I don't think I've been on my PS4 in two weeks.

Sometimes it is hard to set that hour aside to play a game, yes with a wife, and kids, and when you work 4 p.m. until 4/5 a.m. and then sleep most of the day until it's time for work again.

Dude, then why join an online Madden league where other people can't play their game because of you?

Have you always needed to be a Playstation+ member to play online? I have two PSNs - an Aussie and a US account for each store - and I'm Plus with my AU only. My Madden league PSN is using my US account with no Plus which was fine until a few days ago, now it won't let me access the league without signing up. I might have to quit and then re-join with my AU account.

I just played my game tonight...was down 24-7 at half. Took my first lead in the game 25-24 with 1:00 minute left and somehow hung on to win. WOW!

Fair enough, I posted in the Madden thread before we started the thread over here that I'd be difficult to schedule games with. I retired my owner from the league a few minutes ago, one less owner to have scheduling conflicts with.

Thumbs up

I played against the Broncos this week, and was surprised to see they were 2-3 heading into the game. The first snap the Broncos took provided all the explanation I needed: Peyton Manning is injured.

I beat up the Broncos, mostly on the ground. Frank Gore ran for 172 yards and 2 TD's, and our defense forced 4 turnovers (2 fumbles, 2 picks). This was a pretty easy win. We stay undefeated, and head into the Bye week to rest up for a long stretch of games with no break.

Just finished the most epic game I've ever played. Ran over 100 plays, as I was down 20-0 after 1, so I was basically in hurry up all game.

Down 46-30 entering the fourth, we somehow break loose and score 23 unanswered, to beat Seattle in Seatlle 53-46. Boxscore coming.

Hey....I've been playing.

My opponents in the last two games (before me beating the Colts) never responded to my requests.....fortunately I won those games or I would've thrown a fit.

In a tie with the Chiefs at 7-2, we take a bad loss to San Diego (4-5) and now fall into wildcard contention.

Switched my playbook to Philly playbook just to see what it's all about, and we obliterated the Chiefs to once again hold the division lead at 8-3.

Jon,
Looks like only you and I are left.

That being said, I'm down to continue. If you want to keep it going, we can advance at whatever pace we need as in whenever we complete a game, or keep the same strict schedule.

I'm all for more people willing to join whenever, but it was pretty disappointing to see so many commits and so many drop outs in such a short time frame.

Our third straight loss brings the Raiders to 9-6 and in a dog fight for the wildcard.

We headed to Denver in an early playoff game in Week 17, both teams 9-6 and the winner goes to the postseason.

Breakout rookie QB Derek Carr goes down with a herniated disk in the 1st quarter and we never stood a chance. Big time losers, 30-62 (Denver piled it on late as I kept going for it). We finish the season with 4 straight losses at 9-7 and miss the playoffs after a terrific 3/4 of the season.

I'm about to play my game. I'm up for advancing when we're ready with the time frames in place.

Since you're the only active in the playoffs, send me a pm whenever you need me to advance. Once the playoffs are over, we can setup some time frame between you, me and I think Illinicub and knock out the offseason

I completely choked in the Playoffs. Breeze tore apart my defense to the tune of a 90% completion percentage, and my players couldn't hang onto the ball.

The league has advanced. Jon, need to know if you want to play these games. You're in the conference championship.

Work has been hellish this week, and I've been sick, but I've finally got to the NFC Title game.

I lost.

The game had some weird hiccups. Like not counting the 80 yard TD pass that Eli threw on the first play of the game, dbacks that come from 20 yards away to intercept passes.

I don't know....
