It was a stunning game, turned it on with 16 minutes to go and it was tied at 22. Princeton-G'town all over again.

70 games, that's pretty amazing. Didn't think they would ever lost.

I actually watched the second half.
They were bound to lose before the streak got to 77 (which it would have been assuming a run through the Big East and NCAA tourneys.) Might be better to get it out of the way now. I personally don't care much, and only watched because now that I work for an insurance company part of my 'selling out' requires me to watch women's basketball. FWIW, Taurasi can play, she might be the best one to come through there yet, she really doesn't have the team around her they have had in past years. |

If there were a college basketball "player" of the year award, Taurasi would win it and it wouldn't be close.

I always hated Connecticut and rooted for Tennessee when the two played, but that all changed when the young woman who led my old high school to three straight state champioships signed with UConn. So because of Ann Strother, I became somewhat of a UConn fan and was hoping to see them run the table this year and challenge UCLA's record. I'm disapointed to see them lose, but I still feel that they're going to run the table and win the tournament...
