Wireless Network Help
I have a wireless network at home that I access the internet with. My girlfriend has a wireless network card in her computer that she uses for work. I have given her the WEP code and she gets a message that she is connected to the wireless network. An icon then pops up saying "Connected to the Internet". However, when she tries to browse to a web page, it does not connect. Does anyone have a suggestion on why it doesn't work?
Thanks Todd

After you give her the WEP have her try to reboot. Also, do you have a proxy server configured that she would need to add in her IE settings? Also, at your wireless router, are filtering base IP's? Do you have it set up to handle more than a set range of IP's?

I don't think I have a proxy server set up. She is able to check her e-mail via Outlook Express, so the internet is working, but it is an issue with Internet Explorer.
Any more help? Thanks Todd

I just had her turn off the Proxy server under her LAN connections. However, I think she will have to turn it back on to access the internet when she is at work. Is that correct?

Correct.
She will need to do that. So I assume it is working now?
