It sounds right. There were some comments in the media by some Georgia players that suggested they might have been over Beck. I don't think he was hated, but I don't think he was particularly liked. I think Miami is the likely spot he is eyeing, both because of the situation and his girlfriend.

Edit: The comment section on Reddit about this article keeps referring to him as " Sid the Sloth" and now I can't unsee it. Pictures of him and his hot influencer girlfriend should have "One Of These Things Is Not Like The Other" playing.

Just our fn luck around this house. End up stuck with his ass for a year. He'll end up being more annoying than his girlfriend, who I'll grant is hot but daaaaamn she's obnoxious.

I'm sorry, but it is about to be official. He is committing to Miami. It was pretty clear when he entered the portal with a "no contact" tag that he already had the designation in mind.

Edit: He confirmed it on Insta.

Penn State did not have a single completion to a wide receiver last night which is either a testament to Notre Dame's secondary or how bad Allar might have been.

When did it become okay not to wear your mouth guard? That was a penalty at one point.

Might want to cover the RB out of the backfield.

I’ve been wondering that for years. I don’t know why players bother having it if you’re not going to use it, especially if it’s not penalized.

Of course in college I’ve also wondered why it’s ok for players to wear shorts. It looks awful.

They still do. Most players now wear custom made, smaller mouthguards that are similar to an invisalign while having a "cooler" looking one dangle for fashion.

Howard has a lot of problems with zone defenses.

Safe to say, Ryan Day will not be losing his job at the end of this season.

Tickets for the Championship Game are completely insane. $2100 each for nosebleeds.

Thing to keep an eye out for the Championship game. In the distant forecast, they are showing the possibility of snow. This could become a repeat of the 2000 Super Bowl fiasco.

I paid $1100 for mine last year and that was at cost through a booster I know who had an allotment.

It's very similar this year, at least that's the price for OSU staff. We got lucky with the snowstorm in Dallas and prices dropped by half on Tuesday. I would probably jump on $1K tickets if they were at least decent.

Given all the comments made to me today at work, some Texas podcast or radio station must have spent a chunk of time stating Ohio State was a bunch of mercenary transfers. On the other hand, Texas builds their team the right way, through recruiting and development. I kept offering to count up the number of transfers that played for both teams because I can name 5 on Texas off the top of my head and that's already more than the 3 on Ohio State that started. It's weird how these narratives start.

I just remembered Q Judkins - that's 4. Edit: Backup TE makes it 5.

They used a bunch of NIL money to keep the 2020 class from going pro. They really didn't have room for many transfers.

Now next year they'll probably have a bunch of transfers in the two deep.

Definitely - the two starting OTs will be for sure. It led to an interesting conversation on whether we consider Ewers a transfer or not. I almost wouldn't count him since he's from Texas and he was at Ohio State for such a short time.

It's such a stupid comment in the first place anyway. Who cares what "way" the team is built?

Shrug.

It's more respectable the old-fashioned way but I doubt that works the way its stacked against doing so now

I thought 2 of the top 3 or 4 performers on the day were transfers. Mukuba and Downs were so good at Safety for their respective teams. Trying to compete without utilizing the portal would be a huge uphill battle. I think even Swinney has changed his portal stance.

Pretty much anything would be more respectable than the current low-level pro setup that's little aside from a bunch of ego-inflated mercenaries frequently afflicted with low character and less heart.

But I'd be lying if I didn't say I want to see Archie play (and see what he's got) next year.
